5 Chapter 5

As the ship carrying the Queen, Cain, and the two Jedi slipped past the Federation blockade, with the help of a certain silver and blue astromech, they began to debate their next plan of action as the HyperDrive was leaking and needed repairs or even be totally replaced.

"An extremely well put together little droid. Without a doubt, it saved the ship, as well as our lives." Captain Panaka said while standing next to the dirtied astromech.

"It is to be commended...what is its number?" The 'Queen' asked.

Leaning forward Panaka went to wipe the dirt from the mech, but when he touched it the little blue droid let out a series of sounds.

"Hands off meat bag." The astromech beeped.

Chocking on a cough, Cain had to stop himself from laughing as he finally heard what R2-D2 was saying when he beeps. This was the main reason Cain learned Binary, so he could finally hear what droids were saying in the movies.

"R2-D2, Your Highness." Captain Panaka said after scraping the dirt off the astromech to see its number.

"Thank you, Artoo Detoo. You have proven to be very loyal, Padmé please clean this droid up the best you can. It deserves our thanks." The 'Queen' asked Padmé the 'handmaiden'.

"Your Highness, we are heading for a remote planet called Tatooine, due to the damaged hyperdrive." Qui-Gon suddenly announced.

"The planets pretty far beyond the reach of the Trade Federation. We'll be able to make the needed repairs, then travel to Coruscant all without detection by the Federation." Cain chimed in to support the Jedi's plan.

"Your Highness, Tatooine is very dangerous. It's controlled by an alliance of gangs called the Hutts. I do not agree with the Jedi or my rebellious guard on this." Captain Panaka said while glaring at Cain.

"You must trust my judgment, Your Highness." Qui-Gon said as he tried to reason with the 'Queen'.

Seeing that their argument was just getting started, Cain and Padme silently snuck out of the room with R2-D2.

"Well 'Handmaiden' Padmé, do you need any help cleaning?" Cain joked as Padmé began to clean the grime off the blue droid.

"Yes please help me, my heroic guardian," Padmé said playfully as she tossed Cain a rag.

Chuckling, Cain sat down and started cleaning the dirt stuck in R2-D2's circuits. Just as Cain was about to ask Padmé another question, the door suddenly popped open.

"Hideo!" Exclaimed Jar-Jar as he jumped into the room.

Surprised by the sudden outburst Padmé jumped and R2 let out a stream of curses in Binary.

"Sorry, no mean to scare yousa." Said Jar-Jar.

"That's all right," Padmé replied

"I scovered oily back dare. Needen it?" Jar-Jar asked as he saw they were trying to clean the droid.

"Sure" Cain replied.

"This little guy is quite a mess." Padmé joked while patting the droid.

".....Fuck you too." R2-D2 beeped angrily.

Jar-Jar handed Padmé the oil can, as she began to apply it all over the dirtied astromech.

"Mesa Ja-Ja Binksss. Whosa you?"

"I'm Padmé, I attend her Highness and that's Cain, he's a guard. You're a Gungan, aren't you?" Padme said as she introduced both herself and Cain to the clumsy Gungan.

"How did you end up here with the Jedi?" Cain suddenly asked.

"Me no know...mesa day starten pitty okeyday witda brisky morning munchen. Den boom....getten berry skeered, un grabbed dat Jedi, and before mesa knowen it...pow! Mesa here. ...gotten berry berry skewed." Jar-Jar rambled on for a few minutes. As he continued to speak, everything he said started to become more incoherent to Cain and Padme.

"This Gungan's fucking crazy...I'm very sorry for you." Artoo beeped sympathetically.

Patting Artoo on his head, Cain muttered a small 'thank you' to the droid and tried his best to block out the Gungan's rambling.

.....

After finally finishing their argument Qui-Gon and Captain Panaka exited the room and announced that they were heading towards Tatooine to repair the HyperDrive.

A large yellow planet appeared directly ahead, and soon the ship spotted a spaceport with its scanners. Landing on the outskirts of a settlement, The Naboo spacecraft soon landed on the sand-filled planet.

Exiting from the spacecraft Qui-Gon, the freshly cleaned Artoo, and Jar-Jar prepared to walk into the settlement and try to buy a Hyperdrive generator. While the other Jedi, Obi-Wan was ordered by his Master to stay on the ship and repair the damages.

Suddenly running off the ship, Captain Panaka appeared with Padmé and Cain as they jogged towards the traveling group.

"Wait!" Captain Panaka exclaimed.

The group stopped and waited as they caught up. Dressed in rough peasant's garb, both Padme and Cain had changed their clothing to something less eye-catching.

"Her Highness commands you to take her handmaiden and guard with you. She wishes for them to observe the local-"Captain Panaka started, but was interrupted by the Jedi.

"No more commands from Her Highness today, Captain. This spaceport. is not going to be pleasant..."

"I've been trained in defense...and I'm sure Cain can take care of himself, maybe," Padmé said as he stared down the Jedi Master.

"I don't have time to argue. But this is not a good idea. Stay close to me. Both of you." Qui-Gon said while giving Padmé and Cain a stern look.

"Calm down, Jedi Master. We're not children, we know how to fight." Cain said as he took the lead towards the settlement.

"That's what I'm worried about," Qui-Gon grumbled quietly.

The little group made their way across the desert until they soon saw the settlement appear. Walking into the sand-covered town, revealed that there was a variety of different species mingling together.

Cain watched everyone that he passed and took notice of all the dangerous looking citizens that glanced at them as they walked past. Looking around for danger, Cain was still excited as he's always wanted to visit Tatooine.

Most of the events of Star Wars were ultimately connected to this planet.

"...For the most part, it's only a few scattered tribes and scavengers. The few spaceports like this one are havens for those who do not wish to be found." Qui-Gon said as he surveyed the surrounding area.

" ....like us," Padmé announced solemnly.

Seeing that Padmé was gloomy, Cain playfully bumped into her shoulder as a distraction so she didn't grovel in depression. Seemingly pulled out of her dejected train of thought, Padmé glared at Cain, but began smiling slightly as she nudged him back.

Satisfied that Padmé was better, Cain noticed that Qui-Gon was staring at a smaller junk shop.

"We'll try one of the smaller dealers," Qui-Gon stated while walking to the entrance of the dingy building.

Entering the dingy junk shop showed that the interior was just as bad as the exterior. Junk, scrap metal, and piles of broken droids were stacked all over the shop.

"...Are we sure this isn't the junkyard." Cain whispered to Padmé as they walked into the cluttered shop.

"The junkyards probably better than this place, at least there something might actually work," Padmé replied to Cain, while they both fought to hide their grins as the owner finally took notice of them entering his shop.

Greeted by a pudgy blue alien with short wings like a hummingbird, Cain was honestly surprised that his wings could actually support his fat body. Although Cain had already seen how fat Watto was in the movies, he was still shocked and repulsed by the floating fat bug.

"What do you want?" Watto said in Huttese.

"I need parts for a J-type 327 Nubian," Qui-Gon said while taking a step forward.

"Ah yes, ah yes. Nubian. We have lots of that. What kinda junk?" Watto asked while rubbing his bulging stomach.

"My droid here has a readout of what I need," Qui-Jon replied while motioning towards Artoo.

"I'm not your droid, you hippie!" Artoo beeped in Binary, but still complied with Qui-Gon's request.

Just as Watto and Qui-Gon were about to check on the parts, a disheveled boy with sandy blond hair and blue eyes suddenly ran inside from the junkyard.

Getting his first glimpse of the Chosen One, Cain was slightly disappointed that Anakin didn't look anything special, but he soon came to a startling realization.

As he looked at the young scrappy slave boy from Tatooine, Cain realized just how much pressure Anakin must have always had on his shoulder, even as a child.

From being called the 'Chosen One' since he entered the Jedi Order, and always wanting to meet everyone's expectations no matter what. This seemed the main reason Anakin was so brash and cocky in the movies, he always had to be meet the expectations of others, thus he couldn't show any weakness.

This was probably the main reason Palpatine turned Anakin to the Dark Side so easily, not because he was the 'Chosen One', but because he was still just a slave from Tatooine that desperately wanted to save his wife no matter the consequences.

"What took you so long?" Watto scolded Anakin while raising his stubby arm to hit him.

"I was just cleaning the bin like

you..." Anakin tried to explain, but Watto cut him off.

"Chut-Chut! Never mind! Watch the

store. I've got some selling to do here." Watto waved him off while leading Qui-Gon outside.

With the bug gone, Cain turned his attention towards Anakin as he was tinkering with something on the table. But just as Cain was about to speak, a text box suddenly appeared in his line of sight.
