( Emilia's POV )

After killing the fat guy, the silver-haired boy was sitting in front of me waiting for me to finish crying and a little girl appeared next to him without me noticing.

Despite witnessing that brutal murder I felt strangely calm around him and the little girl next to him also helped, but still, I couldn't let my guard down, he is a man.

???: ok I'll call you Blondie, you don't have to talk I just need you to listen.

Blondie, he must have thought of that name because of my blonde hair, not very original but I guess that doesn't matter, I guess I should call him Gin.

He told me that we should team up to survive and that he had a way to get off the island.

He doesn't seem to be lying but then why did he kill the fat guy and take his chip, I was going to do the same but that's because he was attacking me.

Gin: He deserved it, everyone is here because someone wanted them to disappear for personal reasons, but I think you already knew that.

That's right we were all selected to die on this island, but the same can be said of him.

I asked him some questions and he asked me some too, in the end, I agreed to form a team with them, he also told me that our conversation was being overheard and that we should go back to the base where the two of them were staying, At least today I won't have to sleep on the beach, he said that the little girl's name was Kaguya and when he was going to introduce himself I stopped him and told him that I would be calling him Gin and he accepted it.

When we were returning to their base I wanted to make a stop at a waterfall to clean my body together with Kaguya while Gin stood guard, I warned him not to spy on us but I felt that it wasn't necessary, for some reason I trusted him and that bothered me, I had just met him, why do I feel so safe when he is around, that's not right all the men on this island are my enemies.

When we finished and we met up with Gin he was looking down the river while eating chocolate, he offered me some and of course, I took it, I love chocolate.

Gin was looking at a couple of players, they were both men and one of them was the one who spied on me in the morning when I cleaned my body and I quickly grabbed one of my BIMs, Gin stopped me because he didn't want to attack anyone who wasn't a threat but I told him I didn't want to team up with them and that all men were my enemies.

Gin: You do know that I am a man, right?

Emilia: You look a bit like a woman so it's not that bad.

There can be no other reason why I feel comfortable being around him, Kaguya nods repeatedly completely agreeing with what I say, and that annoys Gin a bit.

The base we arrived at was an old watchtower, when we went up Gin told me it was safe to talk, he divided the BIMs between us and talked a bit about his plan, and then went out to do surveillance.

Kaguya gave me a shirt that was in the supplies they got the day before when I changed she asked me to crouch down and she put the haori on my shoulders and she showed me another message on her tablet with a smile.

In that watchtower, together with Kaguya and Gin for a moment I forgot that we were in a death game.

When it was getting dark and we were getting ready to sleep, Gin called us and we could see the same players who were near the river coming to the watchtower, again I took a BIM and again Gin stopped me, he said that they were not going to attack us, they were running away, at that moment I knew that Gin had decided to help them, that was the right thing to do but I was still upset.

Gin helped the two men and even healed the injured leg of one of them, that night I talked to Gin and I was able to understand his motivations, He would help anyone in need but would not hesitate to do anything to protect those who were important to him.

The next day when Gin left to collect supplies he left me a smartphone to communicate in case of emergencies, I tried to ignore the two men but Ryota kept looking at me and in the end, I got annoyed.

Emily: what? What do you want?

Ryota: no I just want to talk, what do you think of that boy Gin?

Emily: huh?

Ryota: I mean, he said he has a way out of the island but don't you think he could be dangerous? He has a lot of BIMs.

Emilia: He saved you both!

Ryota: I know but I'm ju-

I was upset with how ungrateful he was and at that moment a wave passed through our bodies, someone had used the radar and they had detected me, two people.

Ryota: a radar, don't worry they can't detect us if we don't move.

It's a little late for that.

Emilia: They saw me.

My first instinct was to enter the watchtower, when I saw Kaguya I moved the couch to a corner and hid her behind it.

Emilia: Kaguya, hide here, no matter what, don't come out until Gin and I come.

Kaguya shook her head and try to stop me but I put Gin's haori on her, I took my BIMs and left the watchtower ready to fight but I saw that Ryota was missing.

Emilia: where did he go?

Taira: he said that he was going to distract them, guide them away from here.

I was thinking of calling Gin but Ryota came back before I could call him.

Emily: what happened? Did you take care of them?

Ryota: No, but I managed to lose them.

Emily: Are you sure?

Ryota: Yeah, I used the radar to make sure.

Emilia: do you leave footprints or any other traces?

The guy in the bandana and Gin were able to find me without using radar, there are definitely others on the island who can do the same and I have a bad feeling about this.

I wanted to call Gin but before I could act I heard the bandana guy's voice and someone caught me with a grab.

bandana guy: check her body, she has a stun gun with her.

The guy who was holding me checked my body and he took the opportunity to grope me.

I hit him with the back of my head and when he found my stun gun, he used it on me and I lost consciousness.

When I woke up I was in a strange room with my hands and feet tied to the edge of a bed, I was dressed and they hadn't done anything to me yet, but from the look, the guy in suspenders was giving me that wouldn't last long.

Emilia: just kill me now, I prefer that to be raped.

I still have a hidden BIM, Gin told me to leave a timer type in two seconds in case of emergency, I just need a free hand.

Bandana guy: don't worry, that's not what I want, I have other ways to have fun.

The bandana guy walks up to me with his knife in his hand, he puts the blade against my skin and starts to smile.

Bandana guy: Hearing your screams as I slice through your skin, that's the real fun on the battlefield.

He moved his knife slowly and I couldn't help but scream in pain but he stopped when a radar wave passed us, someone was close to here, very close, the two guys immediately left the room and the bandana guy left a cracker-type BIM on the door.

A few minutes passed but I couldn't hear any explosion and suddenly Gin appeared in the window with a warm smile on his face.

Gin: Hey, did I keep you waiting?

I started to cry with a huge smile on my face when I saw him, he came to save me with a goofy smile on his face, but there was no doubt in my mind, that everything was fine now.

Emilia: Yes, you did.

Gin untied me and he looked at the wound on my arm, for a second I saw a lot of anger in his eyes but that quickly disappeared, He put his hands on my wound and it disappeared as if it had never happened.

Emilia: h-how did you do that?

Gin: magic!

Gin went to the door and he deactivated the BIM on the door without me telling him that it was there, He told me that one of the guys who captured me was still alive and to stay close to him, I ran towards him and I took his hand with mine, he turned to see me confused and I blushed unable to look him in the eye, Now I understand why I feel so safe around him, I'm falling for him.

We left the room and slowly made our way to the stairs and when they were in sight Gin stopped, he gave me a look and I let go of his hand and took a few steps back, he yelled at the other player that he knew was hiding and he came around the corner near the stairs, we had the advantage with all our BIMs but when the bandana guy asked Gin how many chips he had, he pulled five out of his coat, whoever wins will have enough chips to get off the island and for some reason they decided to settle it in the old fashioned way a fist fight.

Emilia: Gin, don't do this, that guy is too strong.

I blushed when Jin took off his coat and shirt and I could see a huge scar on his back, Gin's muscles were barely visible, and compared to the bandana guy he didn't seem to stand a chance and I couldn't help but worry about him.

Yuuki: Trust me I won't lose and I won't let him touch a single hair on your head

Blondie: i-idiot, I'm worried about you!

When he looked at me I could see the confidence in his eyes, that made me feel a little better but I couldn't help but think, men, are idiots.

Gin: Okay bandana, let's dance.

Gin moved quickly and he overwhelmed him with a powerful combo and I was in complete shock, not because of how well he was fighting but because of what he said, I had heard that phrase countless times, let's dance, Yuuki always said that at the beginning of every game we played together, the way he fought completely dominating his opponent and he also said that he played BTOOOM online, all that can't be a coincidence right?

The fight ended with Gin completely unharmed and when he turned around I ran towards him and hugged him with all my strength with tears in my eyes.

Emilia: Yuuki! You are Yuuki right!?

Yuuki: Himiko?

When he said the name I used in the game, I knew he was Yuuki, I raised my head and I looked at him with a huge smile, I wanted to tell him my real name.

Emilia: Emilia!... Emilia is my real name.
