9 Sakura: I am the unit of measurement.

"Sakura-chan!"

"Wee-woo Wee-woo"

""Happy birthday Sakura-chan!""

"Wee-w- ka-san!!"

Hearing the bright and chirpy greetings I woke up from my dream where I was an ambulance transformer running around trying to bring people to the hospital like crazy taxi, rubbing my eyes and trying to shield my ears from the sharp and painful sounds that my dad created when he started singing the happy birthday song for me, I rolled out of my bed and head butted him in the gut knocking the air out of his lungs.

"Haha, I told you she wouldn't appreciate it!"

"Bu- but I wooed you by singing!"

"I'm sure you haven't realized dad but I'm certain mum just started speaking to you to keep your mouth shut so she'd no longer have to listen to you."

"Tha- that's not true right!? RIGHT!!?"

Mum snorted trying to control her laughter and turned away and giggled after covering the smile on her face with her hands. Putting the nail in the coffin she said.

"Dear, I think if you ever took part in the shinobi wars countless lives would be saved by just sending you to sing for the enemy side to raise their morale."

"My God!! My life has been a lie! I've been living a lie!!"

My dad went into a corner and covered his face with his hands and started banging his head on the wall.

"Oh come on dad, it's not that big of a deal! Mum and I still love you very much! Even though the singing keeps chipping at it, just a little."

"No! You don't get it!" He shouted as he turned to face both of us with dread on his face, startling both of us as we became a little serious and listened to him.

"I thought, all this time I thought my coworkers were happy when I sang in the workshop so they sang along louder than me!! All this time!! They were just trying to get me to shut up by drowning out my voice!! Everyone used to tell me I must be tired having such a divine voice so I should rest and not burden it anymore!! Oh no!!! Oh God no!!! What have I done!!! What have you made me do Mebuki!!"

That was the limit, both mum and I burst out laughing and I crashed into the floor rolling with laughter.

"Laugh! Go ahead and laugh! I'm sure karma will find it's wa-"

Before he could complete his sentence my hand knocked into the loose door of the cupboard in which my ink supplies were being kept which due to the force of closing flung the ink bottle on top of it bolting towards my dad's face.

"...."

"...."

"...."

""HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA""

Now even mum was on the floor laughing with me looking at my dad's face that was dripping with ink.

Sometime later after I freshened up and dad had cleaned of the ink off of his face we all gathered at the table in dinning hall where mum quickly brought us a cupcake with a single candle on it.

Mum and dad chuckled at my eyes which were shining so much with little stars in them looking at the cup cake that a shinobi might even confuse them as some new kind of dojutsu.

If someone were to ask me I'd call it the "Sparkling puppy eyes dojutsu!" The strongest jutsu any one can have! It's ability to bend people's will into doing what ever you wanted them to do without questioning you almost as if they were your loyal follower and worshiper.

'Ughhh….I just imagined Danzo doing it an now all of a sudden it feels very weird.'

I slowly bent towards the candle and poofed it out and then carefully picked up the knife that was too large for my hands alone with the help of my mum and cut the cup cake.

Pulling out a piece I handed it first to her and then to dad and then at the last remaining large piece myself with a satisfied grin on my face.

It was after all my favorite flavor Vanilla! I don't know how Vanilla existed in this world, but I was happy it did. Without music, this was my saving grace. I might become a vanilla addict at this rate.

After we all cleaned ourselves, mum pulled me into the room and started to dress me up in a proper well ironed pink Yukata with white flowers dotted all over it and then dressed in one herself. After styling my hair a little I looked like my mom just smaller in size with pink hair. We soon came out of the room to find dad was dressed in a deep blue yukata with waves printed on them.

Walking through the village and following the crowd we arrived at a Sakura forest where all the trees were blossomed with soft baby pink flowers. Families, couples, people alone and even orphan kids were on a picnic to treat themselves to the beautiful scenery that enthralled anyone who paid any attention to it.

We soon found a spot under a tree where mum spread out a cloth and placed down the three bento boxes she had packed.

I sat in my mother's lap as I looked around the beautiful Sakura forest, breathing in the generally fresher air and listening to the soft chirp of birds nearby.

*cough* *cough*

In the seemingly everlasting silence dad coughed a little to break me and mum out of our reverie.

I looked at dad who looked like he had some exciting news to share.

"Well you remember how I said I got good new after coming home yesterday Mebuki?!"

"Yes."

"Well let me tell it now! Mikuro-san &*$! the smithery while he has gone on an &^%! to the country of fire's capital!"

For a second mum was about to dismiss what dad just said as just another thing but after the words registered her eyes widened in surprise!

"You got it!?"

"Yes! Mikuro-san said as long as I keep up the spirit of the work like I always have I could carry on his %&*! !"

"Oh!!! God!!!! Mikuro-san said that!!?? That's amazing!!"

"Yes it is!!!!"

"Mum, mum! What happened!?" I asked with a puzzled face.

"Haha my cute Sakura-chan! You can now buy a lot more bottles of ink and papers if you want!" Mum said explaining me while lifting me up and rubbing her face against my soft fluffy cheeks.

'I guess dad suddenly came across an ancient inheritance? Wa- wait, it's not going to be like one of those wuxia novels right? No hidden clan is suddenly going to come out and be like your store owner offended us now your whole family has to die? And then dad slaps him only to find out he is the second rich young master of ching chong clan who has cultivated using pills to reach realm ding dong only to be backed by the once in a hundred years talent father whose name is famous throughout the lands who has reached the heavenly golden dragon realm and is going to take revenge on dad and take away mum only to leave me alive so that I can take revenge on him by cultivating with my once in a millennia talent to heavenly sagely jade dragon realm with the help of a inheritance that I find in my destroyed hous- ah! *cough* *cough* never mind, sorry, wrong genre.'

We watched the flowers swaying with the wind on the trees till the evening when the sun sets when workers in the village move in to lit up paper lamps that had been hung all around from the branches of trees, twinkling against the dark canopy, making it feel as if the stars had descended onto the mortal realm.

Most people sat there on the grassy forest floor mesmerized by the sight while a few took this moment to reminisce their happiest memories with their loved ones, who they had recently lost, wondering how it would've felt like to view this moment with them.

"Sakura-chan! You want to hold those stars in your hands!?"

"Humu!" I said stretching out my little mini baby hands trying to grab one of the stars from the sky.

'I've always wondered after all where did the sky begin and where did it end? Am I inside the sky? Then aren't stars inside the sky too, then doesn't that mean we are already touching each other in some way? Help, now I'm fourteen and this is deep.'

"Hehe then look here, because your father has caught one for you!!"

As soon as I turned around to look at what dad was talking about I saw him holding a firework that was lit. It really looked like he was holding a star in the slowly darkening forest.

"KYAHHH!!!!!!!!"

Letting out a rather girly squeal in delight, something that I would've been embarrassed of if I did in my past life, I tried to get out of my mother's arms to go light fireworks myself! But mum wouldn't let me!

"MAAAA!!!!!"

"Wait, dad will get one more just for you."

Lighting another one dad brought it close to me and showed me how to hold the firework before passing it into my hands.

Looking at the sparkles coming off of the burning end of the firework I felt giddy thinking if I would suddenly become a magical girl who had a magical stick to do her magic like Sailor moon. After all I'd yet to get my cheat in this life, wasn't that how stories usually went?

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

*Chop-*

"Mou! Stop laughing in such a weird way Sakura!! You don't look cute at all!!" Mum said hitting the top of my head.

I look at my mum as if I was betrayed by the world but that only earned me another cheek rub because of how cute I looked. So I just pouted and looked away. Goddamn girl body, adds an automatic cuteness filter to my actions.

"Awww~~!! My Sakura-chan is definitely the cutest!"

After we all lit and finished our fireworks, we began to leave the darkening forest, after having collected all the used fireworks in a paper bag, while a few other people still stayed back and were lighting different coloured fireworks.

I wanted to sleep a little early today since I felt a little tired but forgot to sleep early when I started exploring my body for the other Tenketsu points, of which I mapped everyone of them in my left arm and by consequence of symmetry my right.

In doing so I noticed that the chakra system was not one big circular loop, it was a combination of various ones with a variety of different sizes intertwined with a variety of different organs. They all combined at eight specific tenketsu points which by themselves were blocked and wouldn't by themselves allow any chakra to crossover from one loop of the pathway to another loop. To move from one loop to another you'd have to find a smaller or thinner pathway that usually was around the exit points of different organs.

I expelled all the chakra in my body and fell asleep in the morning only to be awoken by a loud sound and realized my parents were packing everything in the house.

"Mumma, where are you going?" I asked rubbing my turquoise coloured eyes that were squinting to get used to the early morning light.

Mum dropped everything she was holding where it was, looking at me awake and lifted me into her arms.

"We are going to a bigger house! It's going to be soo big you won't be able to jump and touch the wall above your head!"

"OOHHH~~!" I was hyped.

Mum then tied me to her back and kept packing things along with dad, while I tried to help whenever I could by just holding on to tiny stuff that she asked me to hold on to for her while I was myself hanging around on her back.

Soon by mid day when everything was packed neatly in boxes and the other larger wooden furniture disassembled into their components were brought out of the house packed by being wrapped in scraps of used paper scrolls and the such.

Dad went out of the house for a while and returned with a hand drawn cart along with a friend who was himself dragging another one.

They quickly loaded everything into the two carts after which mum and I sat on the back of the one being drawn by dad which was pulled by him for the whole way as we reached a brightly coloured two storey house that had green roof tiles with cream walls and the patterns of a forest with all the different elements in the Naruto world represented with the paintings as the wrath of nature on each of the floors.

'Did dad get that strong by smithing? Is that how strong a normal person is supposed to be? Able to pull a cart on a not very well made road, loaded fully with furniture and the likes.'

Attached to the house on its right was a garage, but since there weren't any cars in this era I guessed that it was a house store that was currently closed, perhaps we'll be selling something there later since I knew that this was not dad's smithy as it was in the opposite direction of the village from where we were, he told me that some day during breakfast.

"WAA~~!! Mommy!!! New house!?"

"Yes! Sakura-chan!! Look isn't it hugee!!!"

"Yes!! Lot's of Sakura-chan will fit into it!!!" I unconsciously measured by using myself as a scale, typical American habit, why do I have this habit now? I'm not an American, I don't want anyone's oil, ah perhaps I do indeed need oil because I have to make my own ink and paints, I am American after all then.

"Hehe~ yes, lots of Sakura-chan will fit into it."

Shifting everything into the house without unpacking the unneeded items dad quickly assembled the bed and rolled the mattress onto it. After taking a quick shower where mom cleaned me, we all changed into presentable clothes and started to walk somewhere into the village with me waddling behind my parents.

"Maa, lift me up!!" I raised my hands with a tired looking face over for my mum to lift me.

"Haha! I did so much more work than you! Why are you so tired!! Lift me instead!!" Mum exclaimed funnily while lifting me up.

I was feeling sleepy so indulging in my intrusive thoughts and giving into the emotions of my one year old body a little more than usual I looked at my dad and pulled his shirt back for him to pay attention to me.

"Dada!!"

"Yes my beautiful princes!!"

"Now lift mumma!"

""Huh?!""

Both mum and dad looked at me a little shocked at what I just said and then mum's eyes sparkled.

"Kizashi! Didn't you hear what the princess said!"

"But-"

"No excuses for you are a mere $!*&! Now heed the #@!% of the princess!"

"As you wish your highness." Dad said with a resigned sigh, kneeling to let mum climb onto his back.

*Grr~~!* a growl sounded from my mighty stomach.

"HAHA!! Off you go to the finest restaurant! We must now fill the beast that lies within the princess by sacrificing the best dishes this land has to offer!!" Mum exclaimed from dad's back much to the amusement of myself and the onlookers on the street. Seems like mom also gets exited a little when she get's tired.
