Chapter 2

Hadrian POV

In this world, my name was Hadrian Peverell a Lord my Father Ignotus was friends with both Sir Gorlois and Uther Pendragon.I remember my Father Ignotus talking about the great purge and I remembered that it all started with Uther's wife, Ygraine, who could not bear an heir to the throne of Camelot, So Uther struck a bargain with the High Priestess Nimueh that would allow Ygraine to conceive. Nimueh used magic to allow Ygraine to conceive an heir. To have the balance of the world be restored, Ygraine died in childbirth.

Grief-stricken over the loss of his beloved wife, Uther turned on Nimueh, accusing her of treason and banishing her from Camelot. Shortly thereafter he began the Great Purge, ordering the executions of hundreds of sorcerers, good and evil. The Knights of Camelot hunted down and killed anyone born with magic.

The interesting part I grew up with Morgana who was my best friend she was really spirited, quick-witted, and compassionate nature. I remember that Merlin was desperately trying to stop Arthur's fate but ultimately causes it he even poisoned Morgana without explaining to her the reason which causes her hatred which only increased with Morglause corrupting her.

Ten years went by so quickly as during that period I created the ability [Instant Mastery] and then started to learn Magic in the mirror dimension as my mind contained all the spell and potion books on different types of magic. Thanks to [Instant Mastery], I learned different types of magic and was even able to learn the art of potion as snape would say 'The subtle art of Potion making'.I even created the ability [pregognition] and [Retrocognition] to help me with future events.

It was going well as but like Sidney Sheldon's book said 'Nothing Lasts forever' as Gorlois was killed by enemies of Camelot because Uther failed to send his best friend the promised reinforcements. As a result of Gorlois' death, Morgana was placed in Uther's care.I still visited Morgana who was happy with it as was Uther who seemed to dislike the fact his secret daughter was sad.Well Arthur was an arrogant brat it took a while to beat that out of him.

Everything went on as normal both me and Morgana grew more close as we grew older and Arthur was a brat at first but we grew to be friends.I even told Morgana about her heritage when she was 18 at first it was something she found hard to believe but we did find out more Gorlois was away fighting on the Northern Plains, her mother Vivienne had a brief affair with Uther Pendragon, and 9 months later she gave birth to Morgana.Gorlois had doubt's about Morgana heritage as both Gorlois and Viviene were having a hard time having an another child after G

Morgaluse.So Morgana birth did cause Gorlois to be suspicious as he wrote all this down in diary I was able to get hold of.

I was sent by Uther to take down some bandit camps as I walked through the road is jammed with carts and people pouring into the city.I was going to find Gaius to talk to him about our problems as I was Merlin had left the door open.

Gaius triped over backward from the bookshelf stairs and the railing breaks. Merlin's eyes glow and he slows time while also using magic to move a bed under Gaius before he hits the floor Then Merlin glances across the room and saw a bed resting in the far corner. Merlin's eyes once again glow as the bed is moved right below Gaius landed on the bed without getting injured. Gaius takes a moment to recover. He sits looking around then saw Merlin as he questioned "What did you just do?"Merlin couldn't come up with an answer as Gaius questioned once again"Tell me!"

I entered the shop seeing it was me Gaius sighed in relief as I said"The door was kept open Gaius your lucky it was me if anyone else had come he would have been executed for using magic."

Gaius gave a nod and replied, "Yes I will explain to him about the situation in Camelot. So what brought you here Hadrian."I replied"I will talk to you about this later. Now you might want to attend to your guest."

Gaius turned to Merlin and asked, "Who are you and How did you do that?"

Merlin answered, "I- I- I have no idea what happened."Gaius explained, "If anyone had seen that..."Merlin cut in"Er, no! That- that was, that was nothing to do with me. That- that was..."

Gaius retorted "I know what it was! I just want to know where you learned how to do it!"

Merlin replied "Nowhere."Gaius didn't believe it as he asked "So how is it you know magic?"Merlin shook his head and replied, "I don't."GAIUS questioned "Where did you study?... Answer me!"

Merlin answered, "I- I've never studied magic or, or been taught."Gaius in anger asked, "Are you lying to me, boy?"Merlin answered, "What do you want me to say?"

Gaius with a firm tone said"The truth!"Merlin answered, "I was born like this!"

Gaius retorted "That's impossible!"I whispered to Gaius "Maybe he is like me."Gaius raised an eyebrow as he knew what I meant as he questioned"So you did answer my question who are you boy?"

Merlin pulled off his backpack and gets a letter out of his bag and hands it to Gaius and said"I have this letter."Gaius looking at the letter and said"I- I don't have my glasses."

Merlin with a smile said, "I'm Merlin."Gaius recognized the name and asked"Hunith's son?"

Merlin had a huge smiled on his face as he said"Yes!"

Gaius gave a nod as he studied Merlin and said" Merlin your room is upstairs and, I should say thank you."Merlin gave small smile and went to his room as Gaius turned serious and asked"You already might have heard about Lily Collin's son being executed."I gave a nod and replied, "Yes I was out of town."

Gaius was on my side he was mostly helping me mostly getting witches and warlocks outside of camelot.

Gaius gave a nod and asked, "We can't rescue all of them but are all those Witches, Warlocks, and Druids you rescued safe."I nodded and replied"Yes they are all okay.If Uther keeps killing innocent Witches warlocks and druids he will have lot of enemies."
