Yi Nan remained in these for three more days before bidding farewell to them saying she was returning at her clan. Before going she asked Yue Yang she could see him again but he only said,

Arriving in the area he controlled for almost an hour before he was able to sense a beast. What he saw was a beast that was of death. It was of the same species of Hui Tai Lang but this one was female and it seemed like she was protecting something. With Yue Yang eyes he could see that it was a little wolf that was covered in blood. All the blood on it didn't belong to it but it was the blood of the wolf mother who was protecting it.

When Yue Yang approached it, it bared its fangs at him and was growling as if to say to not come near it. Yue Yang continued to approach it but it was still howling at him but he ignored her and came near it. Yue Yang then bent down and used his hand to sense the wolf vitality but he was surprised to find that most of her organs had already stopped working. She should be already dead yet here she was still looking at him. It was like she was using only her will power to stay alive. When he was using his energy he could sense the wolf looking at him as if it was able to see All his being. For some reason, he felt like he couldn't hide anything in front of this wolf that was on the verge of her death.

After looking at him for a while she then turned toward her child and used her tongue to lick all the small wounds and the blood on her. He could see all the caution she took while licking all the wounds. Her eyes contained only motherly love, it was as if she had forgotten all the wounds on her body.

She then turned her gaze again on Yue Yang and continued to look at him. It was like she made a decision but reluctant at the same time.

She then looked at Yue Yang straight in the eyes and he could feel that strange sensation again but this time stronger. He wanted to avoid her gaze but it was like he was struck to his place and couldn't move even his fingers. Then that sensation disappeared like it was all his imagination.

The wolf was still looking at him and this time he felt like it was communicating with him. For some reason, it was like he could hear the wolf entrusting it child to him.
