48 Death Evasion

The entire dinner at Tonks' house was a bit unsettling for Agustus. Apparently, Edward and Andromeda had already arranged for Agustus to marry multiple girls, as he was an heir of four houses. This was also the reason for Edward's initial apprehension of him being with Dora. The reason they were surprised was because he was with Narcissa who was supposed to be his girlfriend's aunt.

Dora was in shock after hearing this. First, it was Hela, then Narcissa, and now more girls!

Everyone laughed at her reaction, and she pouted the whole time.

After dinner, he dropped Narcissa off at the Drakul Manor and returned to Hogwarts with Dora who was not talking to him, but knowing her few kisses would melt her anger.

The next morning, he sat at the Slytherin table again. He could see Draco glaring at him, which he ignored.

Everything seemed to be returning to normal, except students were paying a little more attention to him and Potter.

But not everything was going smoothly for our parasitic professor, Quirrell.

<Quirrell's POV>

Shit, the last week was supposed to be the final stage of the theft plan, I should've been out of Hogwarts at this point but here I am. The two people whom I hated the most, who were the biggest obstacles, were out of Hogwarts, and that was the best time to steal the stone. If it weren't for that giant three-headed dog, where the hell did Dumbledore find that thing?

I returned to my room with a visible injury to my right leg. I couldn't believe it; I thought this was supposed to be easy, but I guess I was wrong.

Master was very dissatisfied with me, and due to this injury, my already dwindling life force was depleting at a rapid pace, I was sure it wouldn't last more than 2 months.

But what could I do now? I had missed the best opportunity to steal the stone due to a lack of proper knowledge of the measures Dumbledore had put in place to protect it but it won't happen again.

I had to gain more information about that Cerberus, and that giant is the only clue I have.

The classes were mortifying. The fake stuttering personality irked me to my core. Maybe I should have stayed normal, but right now, it's too late to change, I don't want dumbledore to be suspicious of me now.

The wounds on my legs were healing. No, I didn't go to the school infirmary due to that nosy healer. I would rather die than go there and expose myself, after dumbledore and Peverell she is the one I hated the most.

The whole fiasco with Black and Malfoy had created a buzz around Hogwarts, due to which gryffindor students had forgotten about the idea of exploring the banned classroom, except for those two Weasley twins.

I had seen both of them loitering around that room. Maybe I could get some information from them.

Anyway, I should go. The class for third-years will start in half an hour, and with this injured leg, it will probably take 15-20 minutes to get there.

<Ron Weasley's POV>

Damn, everything had been going downhill. Harry had been writing letters to his godfather, Sirius Black, whom he met two days ago. Since the meeting, he had become more cheerful. At least I don't have to wake up and see his gloomy face now.

But the worst thing now is students calling me 'Uncle Kisser' because of Slytherin students.

Gryffindors should've stopped them from bullying me, right? But they call me a traitor for housing a Death Eater!

I didn't know he was a Death Eater. Are they that dumb?

I bathed him and fed him, I shudderd at those thoughts, shit, why did it had to be me? Couldn't he have chosen a better house for his accommodation as a rat!

But I couldn't do anything. The only good news is that Draco's mother is with Agustus Peverell. The news had attracted some attention away from me.

Honestly, what was Heir Peverell thinking? He could have any girl he wants. Heck, I bet Mom would betroth Ginny to him if he proposed, even though she hates Slytherins. Who would want to be with a married woman who has a son like Draco? Well, he is a Slytherin, so he's an idiot.

Speaking of idiots, that Granger girl has been the worst classmate ever. She snitched to Professor McGonagall about me copying an essay. I did copy it, but made some changes. There's no way she could have found out. But when asking for homework from Parvati, I ignored her roommate, Granger, who was sitting next to her. I hate her and Draco equally now.

I see Peverell arriving at the Great Hall, and everyone's looking at him, which he ignores. He casually sits down without paying attention to anyone. So freaking cool, like he's looking down on everyone, and nobody here deserves his attention. I want to do that.

<Pov end>

<Omni POV>

"Are you sure you want to sit there, Finnegan? Who knows, Weasley might be after your father. You don't want him to kiss your father, do you, Seamus?" said Draco Malfoy.

Seamus Finnegan looked visibly uncomfortable at that thought and moved away from Ron.

'Here we go again, these idiots can't eat in silence,' thought Agustus as he watched the scene unfold from Slytherin table.

Everything seemed fine until the great heir Malfoy decided to impart some of his wisdom to his dear friend Seamus Finnegan, excluding the charismatic self to the fellow students who looked at him in awe, or at least that's what he thought in his head.

But the reactions were quite diverse. Some looked disgusted, some looked interested to see the outcome, and students like Hermione couldn't care less about this conversation.

Ron turned red at the insult and glared at Draco, saying, "Oh, Malfoy, have you found your mother yet? Someone said you've been crying and missing her."

This time, Draco looked upset and glared at Weasley, saying, "That bi-"

He couldn't complete and felt like he might die, so he quickly corrected himself for dear life. "That woman is not my mother, but I've heard more about your interest in old men. Maybe my godfather could interest you."

Ron looked at Draco and imagined Snape as his rat and kissing him. Suddenly, his feet wavered a little, and he fell down, unconscious. He had been so disturbed and disgusted by that sentence that his mind tapped out.

Did he really felt that disgusted or?

Everyone laughed at him, and the twins sighed and looked at their brother.

Draco looked back at Peverell, who was looking at him. Draco bowed a little for his earlier slip-up.

'I really wanted to kill him, but she would be sad,' thought Agustus, letting the little boy go this time. Next time, though, he won't stop, even if she hated him for it.

The twins took Ron to the infirmary, where he regained consciousness two hours later. Apparently, there were rumors that he was mumbling something about grease being great tasting or something like that, but nobody knows anything for sure.

Ron was later released from infirmary but brought back in again after hearing the rumours from twins who had spread them in the first place.
