Reincarnated in Horror Fiction

The grand mansion nestled in the countryside, its once-majestic facade now weathered by time and neglect. Ivy crawls up the cracked walls, and the once pristine windows are now shattered or boarded up, obscuring the interior from prying eyes. The imposing front doors, once a symbol of wealth and prestige, now hang off their hinges, creaking eerily in the wind.

"Shit! I know this is my land was given to me but..."

The young man stood at the edge of the overgrown path, his gaze fixed upon the looming silhouette of the abandoned mansion. His features were bathed in the soft glow of the moon, casting deep shadows that accentuated the apprehension etched into his expression.

"Mom... what the hell are you?"

The young man said as he exuded an air of youthful vitality and curiosity. His blonde hair falls in tousled waves, catching the sunlight and shimmering with golden hues. It frames his face in a carefree manner, adding to his boyish charm.

The young man unfolded the letter he had brought with him as he reread the letter that his mother had given to him. However, he did not know much about her until recently when he came into this world.

Until we meet again,

Mom]

The letter in his hand together with the certificate indicated that this land and mansion was now owned by him. The letter was full of mysteries as he could not read the rest of it. The blurred letters hurt his eyes the more he tried to read it.

"I would find this thing, later on, the more pressing matter is."

The young man hid the letter and certificate in his small backpack and then he suddenly walked to the front of the mansion as he used his flashlight to brighten the surroundings.

His eyes, wide with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation, traced the jagged outline of the mansion's decaying facade. He couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding creep over him, like icy fingers trailing down his spine.

As he approached the mansion, his footsteps faltered, the crunch of leaves underfoot sounding unnaturally loud in the stillness of the night. His heart pounded in his chest, each beat a drumming reminder of the unknown horrors that lay within.

Drawing closer, he could make out the intricate details of the mansion's dilapidated exterior: cracked windows staring blankly into the darkness, ivy-covered walls twisting like serpents in the moonlight, and a front door that hung crookedly on its hinges, beckoning him into the abyss.

Despite the fear gnawing at his insides, the young man couldn't tear his gaze away. There was something inexplicably alluring about the mansion, something that whispered secrets long forgotten and mysteries waiting to be unraveled.

In the dead of night, the abandoned mansion looms like a shadowy specter against the backdrop of gnarled trees and overgrown vines. Its once-grand architecture now appears twisted and sinister, as if the very walls harbor secrets darker than the night itself.

Approaching the mansion, he met with a chilling silence broken only by the occasional creak of decaying wood and the whisper of the wind through shattered windows. The moonlight casts eerie shadows that seem to dance and flicker, playing tricks on his mind as he steps cautiously over the threshold.

"System Mission- opened"

The young man murmured under his breath as he looked suddenly in front of him where a bluish panel suddenly materialized.

[Mission: Look at the secret of this Mansion!]

[Reward: System Shop and System Gacha]

[Mission Failure: Heart Failure!]

The bluish digital panel appeared before the young man, its surface illuminated by a soft, ethereal glow reminiscent of moonlight dancing on water. Though he knows that he's the only one who can see it.

"This is do or dying!!! I Benjamin Baskerville won't be scared!"

!?

Benjamin's panicked breaths echoed in the stillness of the night as howls of owls suddenly echoed. His heart raced like a drumbeat in his chest as he stumbled over roots and fallen branches, his eyes wide with terror.

Every shadow seemed to twist and contort, morphing into sinister shapes that loomed menacingly in the darkness. The rustle of leaves and the distant hoot of an owl only added to his sense of dread, each sound amplifying his fear until it felt like a suffocating weight pressing down on him.

As Benjamin approached the door, he felt a sudden chill run down his spine. The door, once a simple wooden entrance, now seemed to pulsate with an eerie, otherworldly energy. Its surface rippled like the skin of some giant, hungry beast, and the young man hesitated, sensing danger.

"Wa-!?"

Before he could react, the door lashed out with surprising speed, its edges elongating and twisting like tendrils of a monstrous vine. With a sickening slurp, it enveloped the young man, pulling him into its depths with a horrifying suction.

...

"An unfamiliar ceiling.."

Benjamin suddenly found himself lying on the floor then he directed his head in front of him where two stairs connected to the 2nd floor of the mansion and the center of it was a big door connected inside the mansion and two hallways on the left and right of his direction.

"AHHHH!!! WHY!?"

"KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-!!!!"

"HIHIHEHEHEHE~"

Benjamin looked dumbfounded as he saw countless spectral dances inside the mansion, some were crying while others were howling in agony. The most dreadful was a young lady whose face was distorted.

!!!!?

In the desolate halls of an abandoned mansion, a young lady with a distorted face smiled at him creepily, her presence a twisted echo of innocence lost. She appears as a spectral figure, her form flickering and distorting like a glitch in reality. Her once-beautiful features are now twisted into a grotesque visage, with hollow eyes.

"KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIEEEE----"

The young lady whose face was distorted wailed echoes across the mansion, a haunting melody that sends shivers down the spines of all who hear it. Its voice carries the weight of centuries, filled with sorrow and longing for the life it left behind.

As it moves, the young lady leaves behind a trail of icy mist, its touch sending a chill through the air that freezes the very soul. Its presence is suffused with an otherworldly glow, casting a pale light that illuminates the darkness with a ghostly luminescence.

"AHHHHHHH!!!"

Benjamin screamed as his blonde hair tousled and matted with sweat, and the young man pushed himself to run to the right side of the mansion, his feet pounding against the floor with reckless abandon. His breath came in ragged gasps, the cold air burning his lungs with each desperate inhalation.

Behind him, the memory of the young lady whose face was distorted lingered like a ghostly specter, its sinister silhouette etched into his mind's eye. He could still feel the oppressive atmosphere of its decaying halls, the sense of malevolence that seemed to seep from every crumbling wall.

[Mission Accomplished!]

[Reward: System Shop and System Gacha]

[Mission Detail: You've touched the secrets of this world! The world of madness and corruption!]

"What!?"

Benjamin looks dumbfounded, knowing that he can no longer deny the reality that is happening to him.
