Alex and John were surprised by his answer and after regaining their posture they left.

Alex was happy with his and everyone one progress, today was the day he would see if his work combined with the vaccine really made their chances of survival higher, that is because today they will undergo the SPARTAN-II augmentation procedures.
Each one of them was ordered by the instructor to lay on top of the medical bed with their number on it, after they were tied to the beds and induced into coma, while they were in coma a lot of machines started working, firstly their bones were made virtually indestructible, this was accomplished by attaching an advanced material to their skeletal structure, after that protein complex was injected intramuscularly to increase tissue density and decrease lactase recovery time, followed by placing a platinum pellet containing human growth hormone catalyst which was implanted in the thyroid to boost growth of skeletal and muscle tissues and finally the alteration of bioeletrical nerve transduction to shielded electronic transduction, this increased by 300% the subject reflexes,but also their intelligence, memory, and creativity.
While they were undergoing the procedure Dr. Halsey was freaking out.
Dr. Catherine Halsey: How is this possible!!! This is the fase were it should be impossible for them to have 0 casualties, this is not normal!! But it's great that it is happening this proves that it is possible to create super soldiers with 100% rate of success!! Let's see this until the end of the procedure, I won't believe they will all survive until they are all woke up and standing in front of me!
After that Dr. Halsey couldn't even sit, she was standing staring at 74 interfaces with the information about each and everyone of the candidates, if they survive this they will be accepted as real marines and stop being candidates and after that they can start doing missions and show the universe the mighty power of the Spartans.
