Alex was happy with his progress since all those missions only had 1 exp as a reward and was even more happy because he finally started to receive missions that had more than 1 exp has a reward, but he knew that he would be going through hell soon, but he hoped that his experiences from his past life helped him now, because he was a regular soldier he had gone trough brutal trainings several times.

Alex, after thinking for a while, decided to relax while he could, he knew that it would not take them a very long time to start kidnaping children from all galaxy in order to start the program, so he slept.

For another 2 day nothing happened and he was still taking everything easy and chilling everywhere, but that was until on the third day two man appeared out of nowhere pick him up throw him inside a van a leave a robot that looked exactly like him in his place, inside the van he could see some other kids but one of them immediately caught his attention, he had brown hair, freckles, and a small gap between his front teeth, Alex immediately recognized him as John and went to talk to him.

Alex: Hi I'm Alex, do you know what is happening to us and why they kidnapped us?

John: Hi I'm John and as if I knew what is happening I know the same as you.

Alex: Hmm ok, let's see why are now kidnapped but it looked as if we were selected...did something strange happened to you recently?

John: Hmmm...I've already deduce that we were selected, but something strange happening....The only thing out of the ordinary was a woman that gave me a coin this happened three days ago.

Alex: That happened to me too, do you have the coin with you?

John: Seriously! Yes I have it here look. *shows coin*

Alex: Look mine is equal, it must have been that woman.

John: Yes, but now what it's not like we can get out of here, from the vibrations we are filling we most likely are inside a spaceship.

Alex: I guess we will have to wait.

After some hours they arrived at their destination it was the planet Reach, they were forced to get out, wear uniforms, it was at that moment that they realized how many they were, about 74, and proceed to a set of benches all around a stage, on top of that stage Dr. Catherine Halsey was standing in a imposing position.

Dr. Catherine Halsey: Welcome everyone, take a sit and listen to what I have to say. You were all selected and recruited to be part of UNSC marine corps, from this day onwards you will be trained following the Spartan II program, this program consists in creating super soldiers, but be aware that some of you may die. Everyone was whispering all kind of things, but me and John were just sitting there while looking at them.

Alex: John I feel that we will be going trough hell.

John: I feel the same but I will win every challenge they put in front of me and I will do it without help. *stands and leaves*

Alex remembered that John as that kind of behavior until he and his team are put under a test that involves racing against other teams and he wins it alone by leaving his teammates behind, at that moment the instructor came and told him that he lost because he forgot about his team and it was at that moment that he realized that they needed to be a family and keep together. After several minutes a figure entered the room that they were in and shouts.

???: Everyone gather on me !!! I'm Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez but can call me Instructor!

Instructor: You will be receiving you numbers now and for the rest of the day you will get familiarized with the installations! Tomorrow you will undergo a type of training that will make you wish you are dead, now dismissed!!

Everyone got their number, Alex was 111 and John was 117, some time after they were leaded throw the facilities and got to know most of it, it had a very big canteen, training yards with all kind of stuff, from pools to mud pits, shooting grounds, dormitory and the place where they would receive classes, funny thing those classes were taught by a AI named Déjà and were about military strategies and military history.

After the tour they were all directed to the dormitory where they were instructed to sleep until tomorrow.
