Forming Teams

Next morning they woke up with the familiar sound of the Instructor, no one knew how he made it, but it sounded like this "whaaaaaaheee", it was in a robotic voice and it was very strange. After getting ready they started doing what was written in their schedule, first attend the history class next fitness training after that military strategy class and end the day with weapon classes, where they get familiarized with all kinds of weapons and try them all. It was not a very stressful day and no one died, this was because the people with vaccine helped the others if they were in danger, by the end of the day the Instructor came to their dormitory.

Instructor: Listen everyone! To my surprise you guys are still holding up without losses, for that reason it has been decided that you will form 16 teams of 4 and 2 teams of 5! I will start calling your numbers and organizing you be attentive!!!

Everyone: Sir yes Sir!!!

Instructor: Ok good! Now 100,101,050 and 020 you are a team!

Instructor:...

Instructor: And finally 111, 117, 087 and 034 you are a team now.

Instructor: You have now 10 minutes to get to know each other better after that I don't want to hear any noise! Dismissed!

Everyone started talking and introducing themselves, most of them already knew each other so they didn't find any problem, and Alex team was not any exception.

Alex: Hello everyone, all of you already know me so this is pointless, but in any case I'm Alex-111.

John: I think the same, I'm John-117.

Kelly: Well I understand your point of view but we were told to do this and it's not like it's any problem, by the way I'm Kelly-087.

Samuel: Hey let's not start with this kind of introductions and in case you are wondering I'm Samuel-034.

Alex: Great! Now we are a team so let's get on with each other! We are in the same situation and we are going trough the same thing so we need to help each other, but let's not forget the rest of the Spartans! We need to put our team first but we are all a family so let's not abandon them!

John, Samuel and Kelly: Agreed!!!

Alex: Ok have all of you received the vaccine?

Samuel: No.

Kelly: Yes and I must say I'm impressed with the result.

John: Yes, but I would just like not be put in a coma for 2 hours after taking it.

Alex: Sorry bro but life is hard and we are having it harder.

John: Just forget it.

Alex remembered that he today made 7000 SPC and so he bought 7 more vaccines, he gave one to Samuel and the other 6 were given randomly again, after this happened they went to sleep.

They kept this same routine of waking up attend their schedule plan and also do missions while doing it for 3 months, by the end of the third everyone already ha the vaccine.

While they were attending to a history class, inside Dr. Catherine Halsey office.

Instructor: Dr. Halsey I have no idea what happened but during this 3 months their performance has only been improving, I think it may be related with the fact that humans under a life threatening situation unlock all their potential but I'm not sure.

Dr. Catherine Halsey: Chief Petty Officer Mendez I understand what you are saying, but is this not good?, after all we were expecting casualties but since they are all alive it means that the navy will have more probabilities of receiving more super soldiers than what it was thought before.

Instructor: Dr. Halsey that is indeed true but let's not forget that after some years of training they will need to survive the final part of the program and we are expecting to find a high number of casualties at that time.

Dr. Catherine Halsey: Don't worry Instructor the more who survive until then the more we may find in our ranks at the future and before you go, start the next fase of the plan!

Instructor: Understood Doctor!

*Instructor leaves the office*

Dr. Catherine Halsey: But I'm indeed impressed by the results and I can see that Alex and John are the ones who are saving countless of other Spartans lives, let's see what you will do in this situation.

Next day they all woke with the noise got ready, but before they went to fitness class they received an announcement.

Instructor: From this day forward each team will compete with other teams in every kind of class! The team at the last place will not receive food for lunch or dinner or both! Each day the board will reset so you better work well or you will starve!!

All of them were very uncertain of their situation, until now they did not lack any food because their performance has been improving but now they may face starvation if they don't perform well. Alex immediately understood what was happening, they were trying to break their trust and brotherhood by making them compete with each other, but they did not expect that all of them were connected trough a system and Alex took advantage of that.

Alex: (using party chat) Everyone don't worry, it is true that one team will not be able to eat dinner or lunch, but we can help each other by rotating the last place, one day is one team the next day is other and by doing this we will all be on equal grounds, what do you think brothers and sisters ?

Spartan1: My team and me agree, we need to keep together, we are a family, and it's not this that will break us apart!!!

Spartan2: That's true!!! We are a family and they are nobodies that came here and try to separate us!!!!

Other Spartans: Yea!! Agreed!!! Let's show them!!! Those bastards!!! Hahaha for the glory of the Spartans let's keep together!!!

Alex: I'm happy that you all agreed to give an example me and my team will start at last!!

After hearing this Alex asked John, Samuel and Kelly.

Alex: Any problem?

Kelly: Oh I'm happy that you asked now after making the decision!

Samuel: Yes bro not cool!

John: You could have asked!

Alex: Sorry everyone but it was a emergency...

Kelly: Forget it now, if you asked before I would have sported you anyway.

Samuel: I'm the same but please ask before doing something like this again.

John: I now understand that we are a family and need to help each other by doing our best but in times like this don't make this type of decisions by yourself and yes I agree with you.

Alex: Good let's show them.

The instructor was watching them while they were all quiet and he could see the changes in their behavior, their eyes were also transformed from uncertainty about the future to fiery looking eyes.

After this they started executing their plan by rotating the last place without any problem from the team that would be next, in some cases more than one team wanted to be the last place and they had to choose by using paper, rock or scissor.

And so another month went by...
