7 Chapter 7 - New Rookie
Couple days have past since Ippo appeared in the fanfic. Kenta was like usual, training and waiting for his time to show his face to Ippo. He was curious to what the small teen will react to his face. After all you would be at least be shocked to see someone that went to your school at the same gym.
Ippo was a soft hearted boy, kind, Hard-working and forgivable individual. The typical friendship beats everything main character. Kenta liked Ippo for that and his focused goal to become a Professional Boxer. But that what also irritated and made Kenta mad, being forgivable and soft hearted was stupid.
In his books, them kind of people will always be used and hurt in the future. Ippo was a simp as well to make it even worst. He could of clearly told Kumi to shut up about the notion of quiting boxing and the girl would have to understand boxing was what made Ippo the person he was.
*sigh* The kid was absolutely stupid and idiotic with multiple positives while they also came as negatives. Them kind of things might of made Ippo him but that didn't change the fact he could be soo much better if he grew a pair of balls outside the gym.
Kenta: "I respect him as a boxer but as a man, he is just pathetic."
Shaking his head, Kenta expressed sadly as he ran down the path. Sigh leaving his mouth, he stopped and punched the air, ducked and uppercutted with his left arm. 1-2 from his former spot, Kenta changed his position to the left and gave a step leading to a fast hook, jab combo.
When that was done, he continued on with his Road work. Getting very close to the gym, Kenta came at a stop seeing a familiar person just waiting from outside the Kamogawa Gym's entrance doors.
Kenta: "Nyoko what are you doing here?" Asked with confusion. Kenta was puzzled by her action.
Nyoko: "What? Is there anything wrong with me coming to the gym all because I haven't been here for quite some time?" Raised an eyebrow from his words, Nyoko just crossed her arms.
Waving his arms, he just smiled and hugged her in delight. Arms wrapping around him, Nyoko smiled and easily decided to accept the hug.
Kenta: "Nothing is wrong with it. I'm just glad you came back, It's been ages since you appeared at the gym." Happily replying to her. A blush came on her face and made her giggle.
Nyoko: "Didn't know you missed me soo much." Teasing him, Kenta just shakes his head and left the hug to the displeasure of Nyoko.
Kenta: "You can't tease me Nyoko, we've had this conversation before" Smirk on his face, Nyoko puffed at her cheeks in annoyance. Kenta could only describe her face as cute from seeing the pout on her face.
Nyoko: "I'll get you one day, mark my words Kenta." Pout off face, she pointed upwards to his face and proudly said in conviction.
Kenta: "Yh like that will ever happen." Confident laced in his voice and expression. Kenta rubbed dirt in Nyoko's wounds.
Gritting her teeth, she followed Kenta's back in the gym and first thing she heard was swishing sounds, fast footsteps and shouting.
Takamura: "Wtf are you doing Ippo! Get your guard up! Stop running around like a ducks up your ass!"
The voice coming from the mat hitting Takamura. Both black and blonde haired couple walked towards the ring. Nyoko immediately taking notice of one out the two people in the ring straight away. She said asked Takamura in curiosity.
Nyoko: "What is going on? The other fighter is clearly not Ichiro's opponent." Taken by surprise, Takamura glanced at them and explained.
Takamura: "What is going on? What is going on is that the kid is getting his ass whipped by Miyata!" Expressing with anger, Takamura shouted to them.
Body blows plowing away at Ippo's body. Kenta including everyone else, winced at the sound of Miyata's fist connecting with Ippo's abbs. But no matter what, Ippo kept his guard up with tenacity and determination. You had to give the kid that, he could really take some punches and have the dedication to stay alive.
Kenta: "He's got some determination got to give him that." Respect given to Ippo, Takamura and Nyoko nodded in agreement with Kenta's statement.
Running away again, Ippo got to the other side of the boxing ring and surprisingly kept his guard up while taking hard breathes from the pounding. Miyata gave no time for the newbie and pounced back on him. Punch heading to his face, Ippo was only centimeters away from getting hit but was luckily helped by the bell.
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
Separating from each other, Miyata went back to his side looking completely fine while Ippo on the other hand dropped exhaustingly on the chair.
Aoki: "Amazing He actually survived against Miyata." Taken by all sorts of surprise, Aoki said to Kimura.
Kimura: "With no experience or skills neither." Extending the list, Kimura looked back to Aoki in shock as well.
Stepped into the ring to give advice, Takamura praised him for surviving two rounds and tried to think of a plan but due to the existence of Kenta. Miyata was a literal beast.
Getting the chance to taunt Miyata, Kenta went to his corner and along the way came face first in contact with Kamogawa and Yagi.
Kenta: "Coach Kamogawa. You seem interested in the kid." Standing beside him, Kamogawa just hummed in acknowledgement and soberly said.
Kamogawa: "The lad isn't too bad for a beginner. He has the making of a boxer with his fast jabs and Overwhelming punching power." Yagi nodding. Kenta didn't reply and gained Miyata's Attention with a shout.
Kenta: "Your looking like a amateur out there Miyata. You talk of surpassing me but soo far your looking like cheeks. Knock the kid off his feet already." Successful in his plan. Miyata expression falling from hearing his Prodigy rival's words. He thought in anger.
Miyata: 'Of course he's here. Why wouldn't he be. Damnit! He's not wrong neither, this kid might have power behind his fists but I won't reach him if I lose to this chump.' Thumping his gloves against each other in frustration and disappointment in himself. The bell finally ringing for the second round. Both fighters were ready.

Kenta: 'That didn't last wrong. *sigh* my blood is riled up now.' No one even seeing the creepy smile, Kenta gazed at the unconscious Ippo.
The fight was decently quick on the second round. Ippo came out aggressive to at least found some sort of opening. Sadly after 40 seconds getting the pattern down of Ippo's random and unpredictable spamming of 1-2's or Jabs. Miyata gave out a counter from one of Ippo's jabs and ended it all fast with a straight.
Walking out from the ring, Miyata turned to the toilet room without a conversation between Kenta or his sister. Just watching his back disappear from the training room, Nyoko looked at Ippo's face then said to Kenta curiously.
Nyoko: "What is your opinion on him?"
Kenta: "Nothing. All I can even say is he has power and from the gates that would put him ahead of the rest." Serious in his voice. Nyoko hummed in understanding.
Already watching Takamura help Ippo with a bucket water to wake up. Kenta walked away to Kamogawa's Office with Nyoko. Door getting opened, Kenta sat down with Nyoko next to him.
Kamogawa: "What are you doing here Kenta?" Not even needing to look from behind his standing position. Kenta just chuckled at the old man's action.
Kenta: "Aren't I allowed to see you?" Grin on his face seeing his coaches back. Yagi opposite him shaked his head helplessly. Nyoko on the other hand smiled at the interaction.
Kamogawa: "Don't act like you don't already know the answer brat!" Finally looking from over his shoulder. Kenta saw Kamogawa's harden expression.
Kenta: "Yh I know Old man. I'm just messing with you." Smile now replacing the grin. Kenta put his hands up apologetically. Not caring for the comment, Kamogawa asked him.
Kamogawa: "What are you actually here for?" Changing topic back to where it was formerly, the youth said bluntly.
Kenta: "Ippo. The lads got untapped talent and although his personality might not be the most idealistic for boxing but the kid has everything to become something big." Gotten his answer from one of his most talented pupil, Kamogawa nodded in approval and said a minute later.
Kamogawa: "I've decided than! The kid will officially be a member of the gym. I'll make him into a real boxer don't expect me to be easy on him because he is a beginner."
Glowing in excitement, Kenta just randomly up and left. Nyoko obviously didn't leave his side. When they got to the ring, Kenta already saw no Ippo and surprisingly no Takamura.
Nyoko: "Your shaking? Something wrong?" Worried by the clear shaking of Kenta. Nyoko touched his body without knowing.
Kenta: "I've got nothing wrong." Stopping the wondering hand, Kenta looked down at her with an excited smile. Blushing at what she did and confused at the smile. Nyoko asked.
Nyoko: "Why are you.... Smiling?"
Body growing even more evidently excited started to shake faster. Eyes shining a mesmerising emerald, Nyoko was tranced for a second until she shook it away and heard for the first time. Kenta's excited tone.
Kenta: "Why am I smiling!?! I'm smiling at the possibility of getting another person to fight in the future!" Not really understanding the purpose of liking to fight which in the end will get you hurt. Nyoko asked.
Nyoko: "Why would that make you excited?" Raised an eyebrow at him, Kenta clenched his fist. Veins popping out of it, Kenta excitedly said.
Kenta: "Everyone loves to win and I do too. But it isn't the winning that makes me excited, it's the possibility of two men waging war against each others bodies to see who wins! Blood, broken bones and everything else just come as an more exciting add on!"
