Ch.3 5 years after

Year x754

In a wooden house inside the forest, you can a see a strange child reading a book. What so strange about this child is the book he's reading. The book that the child is reading is about dragons. A mythical creatures that would anyone shiver in fear, sometines it is use to frighten children. Now who could be this strange child be? Who else other than our protagonist Kingu.

The child closed the book and look up to the sky ponder about something.

'It's been five years since i have reincarnated into this world.'

'When would the old man teach me magic. I have been asking him for a year now but he would only reply that he'll teach me soon' I thought in my mind

"ahhh, I want to unlock to my magic so that i can have my wishes already" i said out loud

Suddenly i hear the door opening downstairs.

'It must be jiisan' i thought as i started walking downstairs

" Jiisan welcome back" i said as i sees an old man carrying some bags

"Thank you kingu"said the old man whose name is Riku Hatsumi

" Jiisan, did you buy my favourite bread from the breadstore at the town" i said

"You glutton, always thinking about eating that bread" Riku said

"But its so delicious that i couldn't forget its taste. Its taste would linger in my mouth."

"My mouth would start watering just by thinking about its taste" I said slightly embarressed

"ok, here it is" Riku said as he handed a loaf of bread

"I will put the remaining bread here in the drawer. If you want to eat more, you can take some bread from the drawer."

"remember don't eat it all or else you won't have anything left to eat tomorrow since i won't be going out tomorrow."Riku said

After saying that, Riku started unpacking things that was in the bag.

I eat the bread in silence and then ask riku something

"When are you going to teach how to use magic? When i asked you before you would tell me that you will teach me soon."

" Are you lying to me jiisan." i said with a fake sad face

"Stop with your acting! Did you think i didn't know you are acting so that you would make me feel guilty and teach you how to use magic." Riku said as he hit my butt with a stick that magically appeared out of nowhere

"Ouch, my butt hurt jiisan" i said with a fake hurt expression.

"I said stop acting. I didn't even hit you that hard or do you want me hit you for real this time?" Riku said as he slightly raise the hand that was holding the stick.

After hearing what riku said, my fake hurt expression quickly disappeared.

"Please teach how to use magic jiisan." i said this time with a time pleading expression

*Sigh* Riku sighed

"Ok fine. Since you are very determined to learn, then i will teach you how to use magic tomorrow." Riku said

"yay" i said excitedly

"Now go take a bath while i prepare our dinner." Riku said

After hearing what riku said, i started walking to the bathroom humming a happy song.

After i finish bathing, i put my clothes on and then started walking towards the kitchen.

When i arrived at the kitchen, i noticed that Riku wasn't finish cooking yet so i decided to sit on a vacant chair. After i sat down, i started opening the book that i was reading before.

"Oh, your finish bathing. Please wait for a while since the food is not cooked yet." Riku said to which i only nodded as a response.

Seeing that i was very focus reading the book, Riku once again focus his attention to the food that he is cooking.

A few minutes later, the food was finally cooked.Riku then prepared the table. After Riku was finish preparing the table, he called to me.

"Kingu, it's time for dinner. Put that book away and let's eat." Riku said

When we started eating, Riku suddenly asked me.

"So kingu, what were you doing the whole day?" Riku asked

"I was reading one of the book you have from upstairs." i answered

"oh, which book?" Riku asked

"The one about dragons" i answered

"oh, i didn't know that you were interested in them" Riku said

"Jiisan, have you ever seen a dragon" i asked

"No, I have only seen a wyvern but it cannot be considered as a dragon. As far as i know, dragons are already extinct" Riku answered

"But the book said that dragons are mythical creatures with immense power. It even said here that a single breath of a dragon can level a mountain to the ground. So how did such strong species become extinct?" I said

"Well, I read from some before that a single dragon called acnologia killed all the dragons so that's why the become extinct."

"Ok, finish eating your dinner so that you can sleep early." Riku said

After i finished eating my dinner, i started heading to my room upstairs. After i entered my room, i started walking towards my bed and then lay down on it.After a few minutes, sleep finally visited me.

Authur's Note:So some of you might be wondering why the mc is asking some questions that he already has answer. Well, it is so that when people ask him where he had learn the information from, he can tell them that he had learn it from riku
