5 The Queen

"It seems absorbing John didn't change my body, I'm still the same as before only... I'm bigger? I'm almost two times my previous size! Holy shit, that's a huge change! I even feel I am at least two times stronger and faster than before too. Shantia, how could an ant give me so much strength? Maybe he was a super ant?" asked Shawn while clenching his fists to try to find out how much his strength had changed from before.

[It isn't that John was special, he was a normal ant. It's only that you are really weak, like really really weak. You are so weak that a trample from a child would kill you instantly. So, even if he too was weak, he gave you a huge boost]

"... I know that I am weak but you could have said it in a less rude way" said Shawn with a hurt tone.

"Let's go, we need to go out. I hope I won't become lost" said Shawn after thinking about all the tunnel he passed through to arrive here. He had a very bad orientation sense so he was sure ho would become lost but, strangely, when he thought again about the tunnels he feel something like... a sense of familiarity? He felt like now he can find the exit only that that feeling was very vague, almost nonexistent. He felt like he could lose it with the minimum distraction.

"Maybe it's because I've absorbed John? Surely it's because of that, it's the only possible explanation"

After controlling his body body again to be sure nothing changed Shawn decided to exit the warehouse and, when he did soo, he noticed a huge tunnel digged right next to the warehouse. It was the biggest he had seen so far and it seemed one of the most used so far. He had a general idea of what could be inside of it and... it made him exited. If he was right at the end of the tunnel would be a foe stronger than John and it made him really exited, not because he would fight a stronger opponent but because he would absorb it. He would eat it and become even stronger. Only thinking about it made him tremble with excitement. When Shawn noted how exited he was it made him... perplexed?

"... I'm really so excited about absorbing an ant? It seems my new body is affecting my thought too. It must be my new instincts fault. I need to be careful to not let myself be dominated by them" after cooling down and thinking about the situation and his possibilities Shawn decided to go into the tunnel anyway. He was sure what laid inside was stronger than John and so would be a tougher opponent but... it was an ant. How strong could an ant be? He was sure he only needed to touch it and activate his absorbtion ability and for it would be game over.

"Let's go Shantia, we will kill this dungeon boss. Well, we will absorb it but it should be the same"

[... But it's only a normal ants nest. It's not a dungeon. They aren't monster, they are only normal ant]

"... You sure know how to break a man dreams, Shantia. You are really boring, you know" mumbled Shawn and began to walk down the tunnel with slouched shoulders, the previous enthusiastic air gone completely.

When he arrived at the end he saw... a light?

"How can there be light? We are at least ten meter below ground. I don't know how I know it but... I just do. The only possible explanation is that there is a source of light but... it can't be" Shawn, perplexed by the light coming of the big hole knowing it shouldn't be here, continued to walk through the tunnel with a bit more caution than before. He walked through the entrance and saw a huge chamber and at the center of it... a torch? Yes, a torch!

"A torch? Who could have made a torch here?" Shawn thought aloud while scratching his chin. He couldn't thought for long through as a huge shadow fallen from the ceiling.

"WHO SENT YOU HERE?! ONE OF THAT DAMNABLE HUMANS, RIGHT?" shouted the huge shadow. It was a normal ant, but it was at least one meter long and twenty centimeter tall. It was the same as the other ants, the only thing that made it different from the other was the golden crown its head. It was clear that she was... THE QUEEN!

"A talking oversized talking ant?"

"WE ARE NOT AN OVERZIDED ANT! WE ARE THE GREAT PISMIR THE THIRD, SUPREME QUEEN OF THE ANTS AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL!"

"...You are identical to the other ants though?"

"IT'S NOT TRUE! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT OUR CARAPACE IS DARKER AND TOUGHER THAN THE OTHER? AND THAT OUR ANTENNAE ARE LONGER TOO!"

"...Suuuuure. Now that you made me notice it it's true, you are definitely the most beautiful ant I've ever seen"

"HUMPH, IT SEEMS YOU HAVE GOOD EYES. WE ARE UNDENIABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL. NOW TELL ME, WHO ARE YOU?" asked the queen while approaching Shawn menacingly with her enormous head.

*Gulp*

'... HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO ABSORB SOMETHING SO FUCKING ENORMOUS?!' screamed Shawn inside his head while his image was being reflected in the queen huge eyes.
