3 Chapter 3: am I a cult leader now?

(Baltus Hafez POV) 

After years of research an experiment I believe that I finally done it, I modified the ritual of summoning a demon that I found in the book of Apophis and change it to a ritual that could summon the great god Apophis himself. 

The modified ritual will use the blood and souls of five humans one at each point of the pentagram and open a portal to the underworld in front of an entity that her true name is Apophis. that way we don't summed a demon by mistake but the god Apophis himself, I truly outdone myself this ritual is going to be my life greatest creation. 

I also know exactly who is the perfect sacrifice for my ritual, my wife and her lovers she will pay for cheating on me. I only discovered her betrayal by chance one night as I was driving to visit one of my mistresses, I saw her kissing another man as the two hugged while sitting on a park bench. My shame didn't end there as I later find out that she had multiple young lovers.

"How could she betray me like that? that harlot!!!" 

With a furious expression Baltus started the preparation for the ritual that he was going to perform tonight and ordered the other members of the cult to meet him in the museum with the sacrifices.

I am on the verge of greatness, and typically ignorant people trying to stand in my way by asking stupid questions. 

"But leader the god Apophis want to destroy the world if you manage to summon him won't he kill us all?" 

"Yes leader what if Apophis will eat the sun after being summoned?" 

"What about Imhotep didn't we plan to dig him up and finally take over the world?" 

And if that wasn't enough now, I see that annoying woman walking toward me with an angry expression. Anubis below the only reason I tolerate her is because of her knowledge about the city of the dead and her looks. 

"Baltus are you really trying to summon Apophis, why with Imhotep we could easily take over the world?" 

I need to take control of the situation fast, the last thing I need is these morons standing in my way, not when I come so close to summoning Apophis and becoming immortal. 

"Friends please trust me I know what I'm doing, by summoning Apophis we would not only receive his thanks and mercy, but we will also receive this world on a silver platter after all Imhotep already showed all of you how week he truly is by dying again after being resurrected with Apophis at our head we will surely DOMINATE THIS WORLD!!!!" 

My speech did What I hoped it would do, it manage to sway the more simple-minded followers and they started to cheer and clap. Although there were a few that were still skeptical especially Meela they didn't voice out their thoughts and decided to stay silent. Good now that all the sheep are ready to be lead, I can start my ritual. 

"Now everyone let's not waste anymore of our time and start the ritual" 

When I finish speaking all of them return to there work and brought in the sacrifices who were begging and crying, I looked at them in disgust. 

'You had the courage to cheat on me what happened to all that courage now' 

Once they were place at each point of the pentagram, I give the signal and their throat were cut. As that happened, I started chanting and saw their blood started to move on its own toward the middle of the pentagram, and above the pool of blood a black vortex formed. 

'It's working its working I have done it summoning the god of darkness and chaos, the eternal reward is mine' 

But then I notice that nobody stepped out of the portal, and I started to panic as I felt all my dreams beginning to shatter one by one. 

"DESCEND in front of us THE GREAT GOD OF DARKNESS AND CHAOS APOPHIS, please show yourself in front of your loyal slaves THE GREAT APOPHIS" 

I pleaded and started to lose hope as nobody exit the portal and it started to get smaller and smaller but, then I saw that my prayer has been answered as someone stepped out of it. 

Once I saw him, I knew that I succeeded his serpentine scale body and those red eyes that can see through our souls and want to the devour everything. This is without a doubt the great god Apophis, as I saw him start laughing, I quickly got on my knees and bowed on all four. 

"Great and powerful Apophis we bow before your grander and welcoming you to the world of the living that is ripe for your taking. I beg you please let me stand by your side, as you take what is rightfully yours." 

(Apophis POV) 

'The Mummy' 

I knew exactly where I have been summoned too, and with those fools serving me I know that I can make a real killing in this world. 

As I thought about all the fun that I can have in this world. I started feeling it, this world repelling me and rejecting my existence. 

"My priest you did a great service by summoning me you may rise. I shall reward you with wonders beyond your imagination, but first we need to finish the summoning so my avatar could stay in this world." 

I willed a contract to appear in front of us and I wrote the text in abyssal, so he won't know what he was signing. 

{the one who agree to this contract will let the demon Apophis remain in this world and become he's loyal slave. When the time comes and the demon Apophis decide to leave this world, the one who signed this contract will give his soul to the demon Apophis.} 

I smiled and looked at the contract and thought to myself that as my first contract as a demon it was not bad, and maybe I should study to be a lawyer one day to get better at it. 

"My priest now say that you agree to welcome me to this world, and I promise that you won't regret it." 

"WAIT BALTUS" 

Shouted Meela the incarnation of Anck-Su-Namun trying to stop Baltus but to no avail, as he didn't even look at her as he spoke he's next words. 

"I accept my God, I welcome you with open arms to this world that is rightfully yours to conquer." 

When he said that he accepted me, I saw his name appearing on the contract and felt the world stop trying to banish me. but it was still there just waiting until he could force me out I have maybe four to three months. 

'So little time but so much work to do, there is really no rest for the wicked' 

I then walked towards Meela who now looked scared and started cowering backward while looking for help from the others, but they just keep kneeling and didn't dare to rise their heads and look at Apophis from sheer terror. 

"What happened Anck-Su-Namun why are you so afraid of me? after all I have gone to so much length to make you reincarnate." 

I said as I stood before her and caressed her face with the back of my hand. When I touched her she was scared and closed her eyes, but when I finish speaking she looked at me with a look of shock and surprise and asked. 

"Was it really true did you reincarnated me?" 

I smirked as I saw her asking that and I thought 'gotcha bitch'. 

"Of course, who else did you think reincarnated you? Imhotep is still powerless in the underworld and Anubis don't care about you. I am the reason that you are standing here right now."

She looked confused as she process the lies that I was feeding her, she opened her mouth and was about to keep asking questions when I put my finger on her lips. 

"There will be time for us to talk later, after all I still need to reward all the others for their part in summoning me to this world, such a deed deserves the highest reward that I can bestow in my current form." 

I then walked to my newly acquired slave and ask him to gather all the cult members here as soon as possible. After about two hours I saw about 2000 men and women standing in front of me. 

"Is this the entirety of your cult? I expected more people than that" 

I said with a disapproving look at Baltus who looked embarrassed and explain. 

"We had to keep our society a secret from fear of the Medjai, and we only started recruiting recently as Imhotep's resurrection give us hope to achieving our goal of world domination." 

I willed another contract in abyssal to appear and passed it on to him. 

"Well I guess it doesn't matter they will have to do, now pass it on to them and tell everyone in the cult to drop a drop of their blood on this." 

{Anyone who give their blood to this contract as agreed to the next terms: 

1. You can't disobey orders from the demon Apophis. 

2. You can't betray or conspire against the demon Apophis.

3. Any humans that you will kill, will have their soul delivered to the demon Apophis. 

4. Once the demon Apophis leave this world your soul will be delivered to him. 

5. After signing the contract you wouldn't know it, but your personality will change and you will become cruel and couldn't resist but to commit all of your forbidden desires.}

while everyone signing the contract, I will finish designing my syringe knife and new skill. 

[Curse dagger of Apophis- any human stabbed with this knife if not use any kind of cleansing magic, will turn after 10 minute into a monster with the demon Apophis bloodline. Soul consumption 60] 

[Progenitor- You can kill or depower any being descended from your bloodline, if they are weaker than you. When a descended of yours die their soul is delivered to you. Soul consumption 1,000] 

While that's more expensive than I expected it to be, but it doesn't matter. I will buy the knife now and with my monster army, I will have no problem getting my symbiont and Progenitor skill later tonight. 

"My priest where are the O'Connell's right now? And did you find Imhotep?" 

In this world they are the only ones that have the smallest chance of standing in my way. Apart from the Egyptian gods that is, but to my luck it seems like they can't descend to this world and must work through mortals. 

"If I am not mistaken the O'Connell's are in their mansion, and yes we did find his body and where about to resurrect him tonight, but fortunately I managed to modify the ritual and summoned you my god I will always be your most devout and loyal believer." 

Spoke Baltus with great pride as he tried to kiss Apophis's butt. And was overjoyed as Apophis put his hand on Baltus's shoulder and said while smiling. 

"Don't worry my priest any doubt that I might had vanish the moment you welcomed me to this world." 

It seems like he wanted to continue and chat with me, but I left and walk toward Anck-Su-Namun I wanted to play I mean talk with her a little more. 

"Anck-Su-Namun I have a very special task just for you. I want you to stab everyone here in the arm a small cut will do, you can do that for me right." 

I then gave her the curse dagger and saw as she cut everyone in the museum and couldn't help myself and I started laughing maniacally as I watched everyone starting to turn into my personal monster army. 

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME !!!! "

Shouted Anck-Su-Namun as she run to me as her transformation begin, I back hand her and saw as she falls to the ground unconscious. 

"Don't shout at me bitch, plus I did you a favor I shaped you in my imaged." 

After her transformation end, she and everyone else turned in to a naga like monster, I then walked to the rest of them and give them one simple order. 

"Kill everyone in this city"
