6 To the creepy mansion again

A police car abruptly stopped the car in the parking lot in front of the police station. A figure bang opened the door and rushed into the silent station. He quickly swiped his card to mark his attendance and went into the chief's office while greeting 'Good morning' to everyone who he passed by.

"Hey chief! You got something for me?" The chief stopped whatever he was doing and looked at Thomas...

"Oh yes. Due to someone who caused a ruckus due to his slippery mouth which caused an accident in the station leaving a seriously injured person or a brother for that someone. Stop laughing, this was the main topic in one of the newspaper. Everyday our station's name is getting bad remarks and now in just went through the drain to the rock bottom. SO!!! What do you think I should do with you?"

"I chose the right to remain silent" Thomas who stopped laughing a while ago said with a poker face.

"Remain silent my foot. You piece of sh*t. Do you know how humiliating it is to get scolded by my superiors. Moreover...."

After a few minutes one can see Thomas wearing earphones and listening music while the other was still barking.

After 30 minuite.

Thomas removed his earphones and asked "Sir are you finished? Do you need some water?"

Realizing this fool would never learn the chief finally gave in to Thomas resilience "I need a cup of warm water and order me breakfast. I am starving"

Thomas had to admit chief has the best talent to adapt to the situation even if it requires to be shameless to the extreme.

Later the chief was eating his breakfast while talking to Thomas

"Since your brother is injured you will temporarily take over his job. There is a case, here take it." Saying this the chief, with his free hand, opened his drawer and gave Thomas the file. Due to this incident the superiors gave me this shameful task for the department.

Even though the situation is different it still came to me. Thomas thought

"A cat disappeared in my senior's house. Apparently reported by his wife, but hear this. My senior came to cancel the case but after his wailing child at the station during this incident he had to give up. We felt there was something fishy due to this sudden retrieval. But some detectives came over to check but found nothing fishy nor the cat. So they gave this case to us. Just go and take a look over at the house. If you found nothing just fall back. If you have any enquiries just call me. You can ask questions over there but not my senior. Do it discreetly. Understood!"

"Yes sir!"

"Good. Now get your ass out of here."

Thomas moved out. Only thinking about the sudden butterfly effect.

Oh it is going to get confusing.

Soon Thomas rode his car all the way to 13th meyer street where the mansion is.

"It is still creepy" Thomas smiled and walked towards the mansion.

He knocked on the door and soon it opened with an eerie sound followed by a small child appearing at the doorway.

"Come in" The boy said
