5 Setting in with the new insights and upgrades

The next day a new beginning for Thomas. Even though he reincarnated he still had to train his body everyday until he can gets his old martial trained body in order to defeat the killer, therefore he did his daily morning routine of brushing, exercising, bathing, eating.

Well the freshened up Thomas sat down to read the newspaper. As usual it was full of the atrocities done by various criminals all the way from small petty theft to serial murders, and the stupid politicians trying to gather limelight and gather support from people by blaming all on the police.

Politics sigh. Thomas thought. After all they keep on blaming the police for every single thing. They don't know how hard the job is and I bet they don't even have the guts to be one. Scary cats blaming us, I wonder how they fare of in front of a murderer. If any police was in front of one they would have fought him all because of duty to uphold, while the politicians would have bribed them with money. (typical Indian situation. Oh yes the author is an Indian. But I live overseas.)

Well after reading through the doom and gloom part of the news. There were about two pages content worth of proper news to read. Some changes in policy and a whole page on the rising geniuses of the generation: -

1) Henry Scott - at the age of 24 he created the first ever fully functional A.I . But due to dissatisfaction of the public his project was shut down. At the age of 25 he became a rising star in the weapons industry developing more destructive arsenal of weapons.

2)Julie Rosemary - A weird name and a weird character. At the age of 21 she became a fully qualified doctor. She later became specialized in 4 different areas at the mere age of 25 causing shame to her senior's in front of her shinning talent.

3)Edwin Albert - At the age of 16 he researched the complex topics of genetics. Then at the age of 21, he was able to recreate the genetic structure of all forms of extinct animals and currently he is having major breakthroughs in reviving this extinct monsters by creating their bodies. His theories on stem cells has also shocked the world.

(Remembering this would help the readers later on the story)

Thomas close the newspaper and sighed. In his past life all three geniuses were dead in the hands of the lunatic killer. The weird fact was no one saw it coming because the lunatic killer only took care of low to mid class people and no one knew why it happened. The reason why so many top detectives died was because when they took this case, they just disappear without any information. And they end up dead. In this life I will make sure it doesn't happen. Wait a minute. Why can I remember this?

"Well child this was my parting gift" The God said.

Whoa you can talk to me.

"Obviously I am God" The God said coolly.

I just yawned. Okay just get out of mind now. I took a minute to clear my mind and made sure that rotten God wasn't disturbing him.

Their deaths will occur in 4 months time. So I need to find a way to approach them to know the main reason for them to become a target. Usually there are a few reasons there might be for this move. First is enjoyment of killing and publicity for work, Second is target and money, Last which is the least likely reason is revenge. I can eliminate the first since when I tracked him I found out he is a low key character. Second is not possible as a lot of low class people were killed. Who would want to pay money to kill them? The last option was the best option and even the chief in my past life agreed before his death. REVENGE. Except detectives and some innocents who saw the crime. Each one killed might be in his revenge list. Revenge is also the best motive for serial murderers. But finding the connection would be hard. Well that's for another day.

Thomas looked at the cleaned white board at the wall of his house. He walked up and wrote a few words.

Well that's all he could remember. He needs more info before inputting more details into it.

Well he walked back to his table and took his rubik's cube. He let his hands work on it while his mind was trying to organize the upcoming investigation memories. After a few minutes one could see a solved rubik's cube on the table along with Thomas smiling.

The upcoming case was easy except the ending of it, as there was something suspicions .

He decided to suit up as it was almost time for his work. But before getting up he decided to test his new tools given by the God.

He closed his eyes and imagined the justice scale. And when he opened his eyes he saw an antique scale with the forged figure of lady justice holding the scales with her hands. The chains and scales were made of gold.

It looks damn cool.OMG. Look at that designing skills, it is absolutely gorgeous. But still, it is temporarily useless for me except for the disappearing magic tricks, I could earn a couple of bucks. I retracted the object and felt a slight pain in my head. I realized that it hurts because of the process of summoning and retraction of the scale and the same might apply for the flame. Therefore it might not be usable for day to day use.

Thomas sighed and decided he will tryout the flame later. He believes and as a rule in 101 skills of a detective for surviving: It is very important for a detective to be in the best condition possible to attend the job for best performance. Saving lives is no jokes even though Thomas was reincarnated. He realized that there are high chances for butterfly effect to happen and he might unable to take up some of his past cases and may be awarded with a new one.

He got up and suited up. He wore his badge, his standard issue Taurus model 85 revolver and its loader and pouch , a belt, a handcuff, a radio set, a voice recorder and a camera. And finally the most handy tool for all of mankind drdrdrdrdrdrdr(Drum sound)dum dum.....the PHONE.....(panting noises - the author researched so hard that he broke his brain in half)

Well the all ready Thomas abruptly opened and closed the door. Rushed to his car and slammed on the accelerator all the way to the station. As he knew that there will be one less person in the attendance and mainly due to him. So he feels guilty for his brother so he decided he will multitask both jobs. It will be hard but all for his brother.
