Zell awoke a while later still being held by Elenore, she herself sleeping now.

Zell wiggled his little baby body free of her grasp and jumped down to the floor. He looked towards the door and as he looked out the open door, one of the maids walked by at the exact moment, looking in.

She paused and looked, perhaps it was curiosity or perhaps it was confusion. She knew the duchess was due to have her baby today, but she was sure a baby shouldn't be standing on two feet butt naked the day they were born.

"Calm yourself, Wendy." Zell said. "There is nothing amiss here." Zell remembered this maid from his childhood. She was always exceedingly kind to him.

Wendy's eyes rolled back into her head, and she collapsed on the ground. A talking baby, much less one she just met that knew her name, was too much for her to take.
