34 Chapter 32: End of Red K Clark
[3rd Person POV]
Kawatche Caves
Jonathan Kent was fed up waiting for Clark to come home. His robberies were getting more and more pronounced that he was worried someone would find out who he was as Clark was openly using his abilities to go wild.
He went to the caves with the key to try and talk to Jor-el. But as he found the cave wall where the slot for the key was, he was unable to do anything since it was still somehow sealed.
"He wasn't ready!"
"But you had to keep pushing him anyway, didn't you?"
"What kind of a race are you people?!"
"....."
"No wonder you destroyed yourselves."
He was so upset that he just threw the key to the ground when suddenly the kryptonian markings lit up and he was suddenly able to speak to him.
►§ I am Jor-El. The true father of Kal-El. §◄
"His name is Clark Kent. I am his father. I raised him."
►§ You have fulfilled your function in Kal-El's destiny. §◄
"His destiny is whatever he makes of it."
►§ His destiny is too great for you to comprehend. This was Kal-El's first test to see if he was ready to begin his journey. §◄
"He's too young. He needs more time."
►§ This phase of Kal-El's journey is almost complete. It will be of no consequence if he returns to you, for now. §◄
"You'll bring him home?"
►§ If you want him, you must retrieve him yourself. §◄
"I can ' t. He' s too powerful."
►§ Are you willing to sacrifice anything to get him back? §◄
"Yes. For my son, I'll do anything."
►§ So be--- §◄
"WAIT!!!"
►§ Who are you? §◄
"A friend. Someone who's just looking out for Kal-el."
►§ You have Kryptonian cells, yet you are not....Your biology seems....foreign.... §◄
"Doesn't matter, I've come to make a deal. I'll bring him back. Jonathan can't handle this. His human body would give out if you give him abilities just to bring Kal-el back. And I'll also ensure to look out for him should he stray from the path. I know you want him to go through these trials. But I'll make sure he at least survives should it be dangerous to him as well. Regardless if he passes or fails these trials, I'm sure you don't want any harm to come to him either!"
►§ So what do you wish in return? §◄
"I want access to the fortress and it's technology. Look I know how important his destiny is, So I don't intend to hinder it. But I do have my own plans and in exchange for being your safety margin for his trials, I want Kryptonian knowledge and technology."
►§ You ask much. But If I am to grant you this, I would need more than your offer. §◄
"What do you want then?"
►§ That you extend your help to not only keep him alive from the trials. That you remain his safety margin for the first 10 years of his life AFTER he completes his training. And that any knowledge you obtain will not be used to bring harm to Kal-el. §◄
"Done."
►§ Then the deal has been struck. The moment the fortress is built, you will have access to the knowledge it contains. §◄
The lights died down and the cave goes silent.
"What was all that about? Why did you stop me?"
"Because if you gone through this, you would have died."
"So what? If it could bring my son back I would have given anything!" Jonathan didn't really care since he was already so desperate.
"Then what about Clark? What about after your death? Did you not think this would have destroyed him that he already is? If you died because of his mistakes, Clark Kent may never truly return. And Martha would be alone to raise your newborn."
",,,," He wasn't able to refute since he wasn't really thinking clearly anymore. "So what, you used this moment to strike a deal with Jor-el to get something out of it?"
"Of course I did. I mean, Jor-el's the only one getting what he wants for a while now right? Might as well get something out of him for once."
"So what fortress? What was that all about?"
"Well, if Clark needs to be trained for his destiny, to gain his education, you didn't think he'd be doing all of that here in a very public cave did you? At some point, a fortress will be made containing all the knowledge of Krypton and Clark will learn what he needs to learn there. In a safe and secluded environment so no one gets hurt or exposes his secret. I just wanted access to it. Plus you heard the man...er....voice. I cant use it to harm Clark ever so don't worry about it. At least this way, Clark still has a father."
Ven then went to metropolis in the place of Jonathan Kent. In the show, this was when Jonathan got powers to stop Clark. But the temporary powers came at a huge cost to him which would have claimed his life. So Ven took his place.

In Luthor corp Lionel Luthor's office, Clark was stealing an object for Morgan Edge. After he obtained it, as he was about to leave, a man stood in front of him.
"How'd you find me?"
"Jor-el."
"You two are working together now, huh? That's cute. But I didn't listen to him, and I'm certainly not gonna listen to you. "
"You need to put all this behind you."
"Come on home to the people who love you. Clark, you don't know how dangerous you are when you're wearing that ring."
"It's not the ring, I was born this way, they just can't accept it. Think you can stop me?"
"...you're coming with me. Now."
INSERT FIGHT HERE
"....Mom"
"CLARK!!!" Martha hugged his son as she cried.
"I'm so sorry...for everything...for the baby..."
"The baby's fine Clark."
"W-what?! Then..."
"That was all me. I made you think that." Ven interjected.
Clark was angry but held back because he needed answers. "...Why?"
"Because you needed to see what your reckless decisions would have done. You could have hurt your family Clark. And you chose to put on that ring. Nobody made you. As a result, you went wild in Metropolis. You needed to understand how you making reckless choices and losing control could do to yourself and others."
"....S-so the baby really is...alright?"
"In the original timeline no, your recklessness would have killed the baby. But because I interfered, the baby is fine. But it's not just the baby's life that hang in the balance. Your father was going to be given powers by Jor-el to bring you back. But his body wouldn't have handled it so after bringing you back, it would have been only a matter of time before his heart gave out. He would have died."
"!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Clark was so stunned that he couldn't speak. He was having a hard time accepting that he not only endangered the baby, but also almost killed his own father. Clark was brought to tears and hugged his dad.
"I--I'm so sorry dad! I wasn't thinking..."
"The important thing is...Clark is back at home with us now." Jonathan replied.
Since they were having a moment, Ven decided it was time for him to leave.
From here on out, Ven had quite a bit of time from Clark duty. He recalls that there's nothing he needs to interfere in or anything noteworthy until that whole event where a native from the Kawatche tribe obtains powers and stabs Clark. In the show, Jonathan heals Clark using powers from Jor-el but since Ven prevented that to save Jonathan's life, he needs to do the healing instead. Since that was about the end of that season, Ven can do some other things for the time being.
