1 Prologue

It was a cold night, around 10 pm I was walking towards the convenience store through a dark and silent road which had no streetlights. Suddenly, I saw someone walking in front me. Because of the dark I couldn't see him before. His walking pace was slower than mine so I caught up to him in less than a minute. When I was within 5 metres of him he suddenly turned around and jumped at me. I tried to dodge him but he swung the knife, which I had not seen, at me and it left a deep wound on my chest. As I checked the wound with my hand , the man came at me again. This time I parried his hand away and threw a punch at him. He dodged the punch very skillfully and kicked me on the back of my knee to make me lose my balance. As soon as I stumbled he attacked me with the knife which pierced through my chest and I fell on the ground. Everything became dark.

When I opened my eyes, I started to get up slowly and then I remembered what had happened. I checked the wound on my chest which, to my surprise, had been completely healed. I was in a stated of utter confusion and before I sorted my thoughts I heard a sweet voice of a woman which said...

" Mr. Lawrence, you are dead."

Upon hearing this, I somewhat regained my composure and asked....

" If I am dead than how am I standing on my feet while my heart is beating?"

The woman showed me a slight smile and then explained...

" You are about to be reincarnated. You served in the army in your past live, you fought in a couple of wars as well. You protected a lot of people during that time. The total number of people you have saved up until now is 177013. Due to the lives you've saved you've been given the privilege of living your life from the start once again."

To this I was quite surprised. I asked her...

" With the memories of my past life?"

To which she nodded as affirming my statement. The she continued...

" You also have the luxury to choose one ability of your choice."

I thought about what ability to choose and answered...

" ....."

She smiled at my answer and said....

" Ok then. The ability to..... shall be given to you. Now you shall be transported to your new world."

She said that and disappeared from my vision
