3 Small Tour

After I asked Alex to allow me to get dressed she opened the door. Thinking that she was going to leave I was a bit confused when she shouted for the maids to come here. Three maids came in near instantly after she called out. One of them came over to me holding a tray with a wet towel and a small cup of water. Taking the water I took a swig while wondering what they were doing.

The other two maids were opening drawers to a neat wooden dresser that was on the other side of the room and taking out various clothes. Soon they came over to me and started to take off the clothes, or rather pajamas that I had on. Flustered by this I asked

"W-what're you doing?!"

"Our jobs milord, now please stand still you're about to meet the Lord Regent and he wouldn't want you to look uncouth." Replied one of the maids.

I have to admit it wasn't really bad being dressed by a couple of nice looking maids, more embarrassing than anything. What made it worse was that Alex was simply looking at me, making unbroken eye contact while all of this was happening. It was rather unpleasant.

After getting dressed and having the maids arrange my hair a mirror was brought in front of me. What I saw in the reflection was a face not my own. Confused for a couple of seconds I then remembered I'm Albert now. The man in the mirror- or rather I, had dirty blonde hair, it wasn't really styled and it looked a bit disheveled. My eyes were a deep green and my nose was rather normal I'd like to think. though maybe a bit on the large size. His chin wasn't chiseled but I suppose it looked manly enough for a fourteen year old. In all honesty he, I, would probably be quite handsome as I mature.

Noticing that the maids had finished and bowed off to the side I looked down towards my newfound apparel. It was a pretty normal dress shirt and a jacket over it. The pants were normal suit pants I think, with black dress shoes. Over all it looked like a normal grey suit but no tie and just a bit more violet than gray.

Wondering for the odd choice of color I recalled that the Freedt Duchy Coat of Arms had purple as its background. That was most likely why they chose this color, to represent the house or something like that. I should probably mention the coat of arms as well, it was a golden dragon coiled around a bright silver sword on purple background. The dragons eyes were a deep green, and seemed to be radiating something, it looked oddly intelligent.

Snapping myself out of my thoughts I walked towards the door which Alex had opened. As I looked through it with some expectation the first thing that I saw was blinding amounts of light. It was a decently long corridor and had many large windows bringing enough light to blind a man. As I looked side to side I noticed that there were two figures in armor standing at each side of my door. 'So much for my worries of being assassinated when Alex came in.' I thought to myself.

It makes sense though to have two guards with the heir though, three counting Alex I suppose. In fact maybe two was too little for the heir of a duchy. Walking out into the corridor I gazed through one of the many windows. I saw a rather impressive garden, filled with various flowers and with the scarce tree here and there. I saw people, probably servants attending to them with glee on their faces. There were various people strolling through it for leisure and entertainment. An odd man sitting on the bench with scholarly clothes reading caught my attention for some reason.

As I was staring outside Alex came to my side.

"It's nice to finally get some sunlight after being stuck in bed for a few weeks isn't it?" Alex smiles and closes her eyes to take a deep breath with the warmth of the sun on her face, seeming trying to relieve some of her own stress.

"Indeed." I say while stretching "Well lead the way, and take the scenic route I'd like to stretch a bit more."

Alex nods and begins going down one of the corridors. As we being walking the two men, presumably knights seeing their armor, begin following. Rather unnerved at first I begin to realize the the Duke would probably walk around with a retinue of sorts and calm myself down.

I look around curiously and spot various items throughout the corridor. Metal ornaments to put torches or candles into, doors which could lead to anywhere. The curtains around the windows are violet as well. 'Sort of obsessed with the color aren't we?' I say in my mind towards a non present interior decorator. All things considered it did look quite nice and the way the sunlight hit everything made it look like a rather nice painting.

After taking a few turns and passing servants and such we finally get towards the center of the presumed mansion. We continue walking towards a room before Alex stops in front of it motioning towards the guards next to it to wait for a bit. Waiting for her I look around. I notice the Freedt crest hanging on both sides of the door. The guards are a bit larger than the ones that have been following me. I hear Alex sigh and then she looks towards the door, and what's behind it.

*knock knock*

She knocks.

"My Lord Regent, Albert has finally woken up." Alex said towards the person behind the door.
