The Misunderstanding and Make-up

"So..tell me what's so important that you to had to be barking at each other's faces like cats and dogs." Dad asked as he sat on the luxurious sofa and us following his action.

"Nothing Your Majesty, we just had a small disagreement." Draco answered before I could speak for myself. He always does this whenever father somehow, conveniently caught us bickering over minor things, the only times he's ever acted decent to me is when Mia is around. He should be classified as a hypocrite with you ask me.

"Is that true, sunshine?" Dad asked, confirming as usual. And I would of nodded my head agreeing, but now, there's no way I'd let this slide through that bastard's sweaty hands.

"If it was such a trivial thing as Prince Draco said father. I would've never been so upset and screamed at him." I confessed, sitting upright, showing them that I'm as weak as I seem to be.

The four men looked at me surprised at how mature I was acting as I continued.

"Prince Draco wanted to discuss about my ceremony with father, therefore it angered me as it is going to my coming-of-age and not father's. And so if there was any problem, I believe he should be informing me." I explained and father eyed at me, astonished by my confidence.

I could feel a hint of proudness swelling from my chest as from the side, I could see Draco clenching his fist but his face remained unaffected.

Alexander; my eldest brother however, glared at me for some unknown reason, as if I stole his favourite teddy bear. While Zion; my youngest brother, just stared at me bored and continued reading his book, he always seem to be carrying around everywhere he goes.

"I just didn't want to ruined the thing, Your Majesty, has planned on that day." Draco gritted, trying his best to keep his emotions under control and my father's expression immediately light up, realising what he meant.

"Oh yes yes, that thing, sorry sunshine I know you're right but this matter doesn't include you until the party." Dad say, obviously guilty about it but I already knew what they were planning, what I want to know now is..what does Draco has to do with the surprise?

Originally, he only first met Mia at the party, after father made a toast and then the confession. Maybe, father told him because he is soon to be my husband.

Like that is ever going to happen.

"I understand, whatever it is that you can't have me involve, must be very important." I say nodding and smiled warmly at them as their mouth hung open like a fly trap. The usual me would of throw a huge fit and cry until my curiosity is satisfied.

"Sorry for the trouble Prince Draco. Perhaps next time if you had told me earlier, we wouldn't be talking to each other so much. I will now take my leave, have a nice day father." I say bowing and their mouth was still gaping open, except for Zion, whose scoffing underneath his breathing. Probably thinking I was being faker than a plastic doll.

I squint my eyes at him and smirk.

"And oh, my dear little brother, will you come with me to the library, I really need your help with something." I pleaded, causing his nose to scrunched up in protest.

"That's a great way to bond with your sister, Zion. Go with her. You two seem to have drifted apart, its time to catch up." Dad encouraged and Zion groaned, rolling his eyes, as he gets up from his seat and leaded the way with me following behind him.

Once we were out of sight, he turned around and gave me the nastiest expression he could suppress. That almost got me clutching onto my stomach to contain my laughter, it was rather an adorable sight.

"What do you want, sister. Are you that stupid, to need my help with something? You're always bragging to father about how clever you are." Zion sneered.

"No, I may not be professor smart, but I do know more than you." After all, I have a mind of a 25 year old, whose gone through university.

"Tsk, boasting again are we, you can never change that revolting personality of yours even if a lightening strike you." He say, pouring out his thoughts of me and I smiled at him, feeling ironically bittersweet.

"I'm sorry, for whatever happen to cause us to drift apart..and many other horrible things I've done. But I promise you, I'll be a better sister." I swear on my life as his pupils constricted at my unexpected answer.

"Its your damn ugly character that got us drifted, and you know what they say 'a cheetah can never change its spots." He quoted, almost pretending to be Einstein wise.

"But that doesn't mean it can't change its heart. You cannot look at the cheetah's spots before not knowing what has change on the inside Zion. Never judge a book by its cover, you'll never know when there's a plot twist if you stop reading." I say chuckling, leaving him utterly speechless.

I was way more childish than he was back then. Zion always acted like he was 10 years older than his age. But now I'm going to change that, and be the sister that pampers him 24/7 till that stone heart of his, softens like a sponge.

I grinned brightly at him, reaching out and pull him into a hug that we'd always do when we were still close which was long ago. Many, many years ago, one hug isn't just enough to make up for the time loss.

I sigh away from my depress thoughts, and gently stroke his raven black hair for he remained stiff, but soon defeated by the warmth..he wrapped his arms tightly around my waist and face snuggles against my neck like a baby.

Even though we were of the same height, he somewhat felt small in my arms, and I fluttered at that. He may act all too mature for his age, but deep down he was still a little baby that needs to be spoiled.

Dad and Mom mostly spend their time pampering me because of my tantrums and wails, that got them leaving Zion to the maids as he was constantly quietly and rarely cries.

I never really thought of it till everything hit me all at once.

Eventually, we pulled away and I could see a small tug on his lips, making my heart burst from joy.

"So what is that thing you needed help with?" He asked clearing his throat, as we continue to make our way to the library.

"Oh. It was nothing. I just wanted to get you back for scoffing at me." I smirked and he gasped, whilst laughing.

"You heard that?"

"Of course I did my baby brother." I say, emphasising the word 'baby'.

"Don't me that!" He groaned, blushing as shades of red and pink tinted his cheeks and I gently squished it.

"Anything for you, my little prince." And he lightly swatted my arms away, slapping his hand over my mouth as I laughed whole heartedly.

I feel so...overjoyed.
