14 Training (3)

As soon as school was over, I said goodbye to Lana and rushed to a secluded space so that I could fly away.

I had to meet the sisters today, to start my training. I was excited to see those cute small t*** again and to learn martial arts of course.

I still can't get over how wonderful flying is. Sometimes I keep going above and below the cloud layer just for fun.

Clouds look so tangible from below but from nearby they look like a dense fog. Nature can be so marvelous sometimes.

I haven't gone above more than 30 miles, above the stratosphere. As there won't be oxygen to breathe.

Not that I needed to breathe, I can survive by sunlight just fine. But it would take some time for my body to adapt and I am just delaying it. No doubt that the view from space would be awesome.

While flying if I keep both my hands forward, weirdly I start speeding up. Maybe that's why the original had that pose while flying.

I reached the restaurant which still had a couple of customers enjoying their lunch. The sisters saw me and asked if I wanted to eat something. I refused and then followed them to an old house nearby.

They did not have much furniture, but in the backyard there were a lot of training dummies as well as weapons both wooden and real.

I was wondering if keeping this stuff was even legal. They told me that their parents were from a long line of masters of martial arts in China and they brought all this with them when they arrived here.

They made me wear a white long sleeved shirt and long black pants, kind of what the hero in kung fu hustle wears in the end fight. Apparently it belonged to their father.

They wanted me to stand until evening in the classic horse stance for a few days first. Which would just waste my time as I was at my peak physical condition.

It was a pain to convince them both that I would not need endurance training. I thought so many times during the argument to just show them how strong, fast or durable I am.

But I didn't as they do not trust me fully yet and neither do I.

Atlast we agreed that if during my training my endurance is lacking or if my body is not flexible enough, I will have to agree to their plan.

They started showing me different stances and told me to memorize them, which I did and even performed them almost perfectly.

Seeing how easy it was for me, they went on to spar while showing me how to best use your body, which stance works where, how and when to defend and attack.

Seeing them fighting with their small bodies with their long black hair fluttering around, I was entranced. I see why their fights are so popular, it looks beautiful almost as an art.

They ended the lecture, but I requested a spar with Carolyn. I wanted to apply whatever I learnt today, making it a muscle memory.

Carolyn agreed easily, telling me not to worry as she would go easy on me.

Our spar started and even if I was awkward in my stances, I could defend myself from her attacks easily. I did not attack her as I was not confident of restraining my power totally during a fight.

Seeing how easy to defend it was for me, she accelerated and my stances improved rapidly as I could react almost instantly to her attacks.

But I could not read her at all, I had no idea how she would attack me. I was told to always keep eye contact with my opponent and try to outsmart them.

I could do more than just see their eye motion, I could see their every muscle move, could hear their breathing and even their heartbeat.

But this information did not account for a thing, as I have almost no fighting experience. After sometime, Carolyn stopped praising me and said that I was a natural.

Sandra however told me that I have an impressive reaction speed, but almost no fighting sense. She taught me my mistakes how instead of blocking I should be diverting the force of the attack.

Seeing how I still wasn't even out of breath, they agreed that maybe practical sparring sessions would help me learn faster.

I asked for Sandra to spar with me too, clearly interested she agreed.

Already having seen my fight, she went full throttle from the start.

It felt way different fighting her, she had this ferocity in her. I could see that every attack was getting increasingly stronger and more deadly.

Her eyes had this spark, which was observing every action my body does very closely.

Many times when I moved to block her attack, she would change directions or it would have been a feint to fool me.

I enjoyed this feeling, a feeling of figuring her out, almost like a mental battle and I could clearly see her enjoying it as well.
