22 Giovanni Zatara (3)

I put the glass down on a table and move closer to Zatanna. Who was still daydreaming about when she would be able to fly.

Before she realises how close I am, I wrap my arm around her thin waist and paste her body to mine. I can see the same process repeating again.

Her body gets hot, her cheeks go red, she is taking long hard breaths, both of her palms are on my chest and she is looking me in the eye like she is drunk.

I again feel the magic stirred awake by her touch, only this time a very minute amount of magic is flowing to her. I guess she reached her limit.

"Look around" I say gently to her.

I can see her looking around still in a daze.

"We are floating?" She says regaining some of her senses.

We come back to the ground and I let her go, taking a step away from her. She almost takes a step towards me before stopping and covering her face with both of her hands.

She must be very embarrassed or happy as I just fulfilled her dream. She still held her head down covered with her hands.

"I meant my dream is to fly by my own magic power ... My dad can also fly, he took me above the clouds once." She says in a whisper her face still covered behind her hands.

That does make sense, but at least I got to see her embarrassed again and that there is a limit to how much magic she can absorb or contain.

*Zatanna POV*

What was that just now, my magic almost started going berserk like it was gonna leave out of my body. But he smelled so sweet, his chest and his heartbeat felt so powerful.

We were so close together and it felt so nice hugging him, dad's hugs never felt this nice.

Ohh I am so embarrassed, it's all because he did this so suddenly out of nowhere. But it is cute to see him try to fulfill my dream for me.

Well first I have to make my magic calm down. I don't wanna show him my red face again or else he will start calling me tomato.

I haven't even absorbed the magic I got from him last time. I will need to meditate and absorb it slowly and make it mine, this much magic will surely double my reserve.

Maybe after that I can perform the levitation spell and fly like him.

*Supes_POV*

After some time she calmed down and made me sit and started talking about her daily life, how much she has to study or how strict her dad was while teaching her magic.

I think she wanted me to forget about what happened and that's why she kept on telling me things. I just listened to her silently and answered some of her questions while keeping an eye on the show.

She said that she would have performed some magic for me but she is not feeling good today and that she will try and convince her dad so that we could learn magic together.

While waiting we played cards and she sat very near to me and kept touching me when she got a chance, which I didn't mind at all.

After some time the door opened and John came in surprised that there was an unknown boy playing cards with his daughter.

Zatanna rushed towards John and hugged his hand.

"Dad, this is my friend Clark, he wants to learn magic from you … He is also a magician like us dad. He is the same age as me but he is already so good at magic, even better than me, he can even fly dad. Please accept him, dad, please."

John listened patiently to his daughter, and then rubbed her head.

"Ok ok, first let me have a chat with your friend. Meanwhile can you go downstairs and see if all the props are being packed properly." John said to Zatanna with a gentle smile while nodding at me.

"Ok but do not bully him, he is my friend." Zatanna said waving me goodbye and wishing me luck before rushing out of the door.

After the door closed, John observed me for a second.

John had black hair,a thin moustache and was quite tall. He was wearing a similar magician attire as her daughter and a magicians hat which was now in his hand.

"Mr. Giovanni Zatara, I want to learn magic from you." I said while giving him a bow.

"So you want to learn how to perform on a stage like me." He said while putting a hand inside his hat.

"No, I want to learn your family's Logomancy." As I spoke this I saw him take a black wand out of his hat and pointing it towards me.
