Bertinelli's were a part of the five main Sicilian mafia families of Gotham. Franco Bertinelli, the head of the Bertinelli family cemented his position as the leader of the five families when he married Maria, who was from the Panessa family.

The Panessa family did not have a seat at the main five families but were still very powerful and Maria's brother Tommy Panessa was its head. Franco was a very violent man and would regularly beat his wife Maria, though he was careful to never hit her face.

Maria, fed up with her marriage, started an affair with Santo Cassamento, the leader of the rival family Cassamento which had a seat at the five families. Maria got pregnant and gave birth to his child Helena.

Franco, knowing that the child was not his, got more violent and started abusing and beating both his wife and daughter. This went on until Stefano Mandragora, an ambitious man who wanted to take Franco's position at the head of the five families as his, learned about this scandal.

He met up with Santo Cassamento and ordered him to eliminate the Bertinelli family. Santo agreed but he was still in love with Maria and did not want to anger her brother Tommy Panessa. So he told the assassin to 'spare the sister'.

Now the hitman did not understand what he meant and spared the daughter, Helena instead. Though I knew that they wouldn't kill Helena, I still knocked him and others out.

Helena was found by her uncle Tommy and was taken back to Sicily, where their family was still strong. In comics, Helena would train in marksmanship under her uncle and would eventually know the truth about her family's darker side.

Not wanting to be in this Mafia business she would come back to Gotham, where she would see how Batman struck fear in the hearts of Gotham's crime families. She too would design her own suit and would start hunting down the Mafia in pursuit of vengeance as Huntress.

Batman would consider her an ally though he wouldn't approve of her killings. She would eventually find track down her real father Santo, who proceeded to tell her how much he hated Helena as she reminded him of Maria who should have been the one alive.

Though she wouldn't kill her own father she would tell her uncle the truth, who would kill Santo in her stead. Huntress would go on to single-handedly kill and disband the whole Mafia from Gotham.

But now by my interference maybe the future would be different. As I was thinking about this I came to a large estate in Oakstone Alley, Nottinghamshire, where a 16-year-old auburn-haired girl was crying silently while hiding behind one of the trees inside the large forest behind the manor.

I came down in front of her but she continued to cry while crouching down, "Why are you crying?"

Thinking that it was one of the servants she answered while still covering her face, "Father burned my books in front of me while telling me to be more outgoing, he thinks that I am delusional that all the stories are false and there are no people like Amazons" She tries to stop crying but fails, "He told me that I have become more introverted and I am escaping from mom's death by thinking of all these fairy tales, but I know that it's not just a fairy tale, that they exist, the Amazons exist, I am sure of it."

I pat her head making her look up, "They are real … you will find them someday and prove your idiot father wrong" Seeing that it was not a servant but a strange man in strange clothes she was stunned and stopped crying.

I wipe her tears and pat her head again, "Don't cry, alright" Suddenly, I get a mental message that I have an incoming call from Lena. So before she could ask me anything I fly away, while she is left there with her mouth agape.

Barbara Minerva the only child of Lord and Lady Cavendish. She became an introvert after her mother's death and became interested in Greek mythology, especially Amazons. Despite her father's best efforts, she would not stop her pursuit to find the Amazons.

She would receive two PhDs in archeology at a very young age and would become a professor of archaeology at a university. That wasn't what she would be known for in the future though as she would go on to become the Cheetah. But now that I have met her I won't let her become a villain, maybe she can rather be my personal pet.

"Clark, I found it … I found that green rock you were searching for", Lena tells me excited.

"I will be right there"

I reach her mansion and enter her bedroom by her window. Lena and Mercy were waiting for me with a lead box in hand. I picked up the box and brought it in front of me telekinetically. I opened it to see a green stone kept inside.

As soon as I opened the box I could feel my connection with the sun cut off. I felt physically weaker by the second as the solar power inside my body was being used up rapidly in trying to fight off the radiation.

But there were at least two more of my powers that were not at all affected by it. I closed the box and kept it inside my storage, instantly regaining my strength.

In happiness I go ahead and hug both of them and kiss their cheeks, "Thank you girls, this was exactly what I was searching for"

Lena felt a bit weird at me hugging both of them but seeing Mercy still keep a neutral face she didn't say anything, "Now my plans can move forward, keep searching and see if you can find it in a different color for me"
