The Life Force, the thing which connects us all, each and everything which can be called living is connected by the Life Force down to their souls. And this Trident makes me a conduit to the Life Force.

This Life force can connect me to all beings in the universe. I can feel them, talk to them, influence them, command them, and even control them.

And no living being can sever the connection of its soul with the Life Force and hence it all just depends on my mastery over it. Marine life feels the life force most strongly and therefore is the easiest to connect to.

In the comics, Aquaman had all these powers but he only used it to 'talk to fish'. Well speaking of fish, I should take care of that already.

I looked at the creature which had just reached near me and was about to fling her tentacle in my direction. I raised my right hand in her direction and attempted to connect with her.

I did find a bond connecting me with her, and then I could feel her emotions. She felt angry seeing me holding the Trident, ashamed at failing at her duty after so many years but mostly she was feeling afraid of me.

"Stop" as I commanded her through the bond, I felt her soul shuddering a bit and felt a very strong retaliation from her side, which almost made me lose the connection I established.

The creature stopped, but I don't think I have much practice yet so maybe I should stick to communicating for now.

"What's your name?" This time I tried to form a connection with her mind and not soul, it felt a bit different from my regular telepathy, I could feel us connected a bit more strongly than the regular one and I could tell that distance was irrelevant for this connection.

"Karathen", She said quietly, totally different from the tone she used before, and I could feel that she was relieved and even a bit happy that I was talking with her.

"I wield the Trident of Neptune now, every creature of the sea would have to obey me, and that includes you, Karathen."

"As you command", The creature bows down towards me. Seeing her mangled up head which had red blood still flowing, I felt a bit bad for how hard I hit her before.

I point my Trident towards her, I could feel her terrified of what I will do but she still keeps her head down. The trident glows golden and a strong white ray of light comes out of the three prongs and covers the whole monstrous body of Karathen in it.

The white light dies out in a few seconds and all the damage she had taken was gone. She looks exactly the same as she was before the fight, even better as she had newer flesh grown now.

"It was a good fight.", I tell her like I was acknowledging her.

"Thank you, my King.", I feel her joy, her heartfelt gratitude, and respect towards me.

This is going to be tough, the life force connection makes me feel every emotion Karathen feels, this connection is making me feel empathy for her, before this, I didn't care about her wounds but feeling her pain I had to do something for her and had to heal her.

I ignore her and look at the trident again.

Trident of Neptune: It was made out of Poseiden's/Neptune's own essence. It can let the user summon as well as manipulate elements like water, ice, lightning, and rock, it essentially lets you have elemental powers. It can disperse any energy in the form of lightning bolts and force fields. It also lets the user control the weather and flight. The user can teleport to any location on and off the earth. It can heal wounds and break any curses. It gives the user a very high level of magic defense. It is indestructible. It can let the user command any sea life. It grants the user the right to rule everything under the sea. In this Trident resides the Life force, making its user its conduit.

The amount of abilities this godly artifact provides is staggering. It also has retractable prongs and a collapsible hilt, so I can transform it into a short sword too if I want.

I look at my right hand and wave it firing a semi-circular water blade to the distance. I will have to do a training session to control all these new powers I have gained.

I keep the Aquaman suit inside the storage which I could open and close with just thought now, bypassing the chant. I then look at the conch, it is a white colored pentagon-shaped conch which has a jewel in between.

Clarion: Arion imbued a portion of life force from the trident in this conch. It can broadcast the user's thoughts to everyone connected with the Life Force.

I keep it inside the storage too. Remembering my color problem, I hold the Trident with both my hands and close my eyes, focusing on the connections. I feel Atlanna outside, sitting on a stone, staring at the waterfall, a bit anxious and worried.

Different from the Karathen, I feel very strongly connected with her, I think if I want I can even touch her. Knowing that I would be meeting her soon, I refocus my attention on trying to find a very strong life force nearby, way stronger than all the huge life forms here. As if responding to my wants, I find a connection.

Suddenly it felt like I was in front of a huge white sun and my whole soul was being washed in its pleasant white sunlight. I knew that it was sleeping inside the Earth's core and this Trident was the easiest way to connect to it, but still was surprised when I connected with it so easily.

The white sun I was connected with was the White entity also known as the Life entity of the future White Lantern corps.
