The Trident started vibrating and glowing golden, the shockwaves it was producing increased but this time it was concentrated on me, it bypassed my aura easily and traveled through my body shaking me from the inside.

It felt like it wanted to get away from my grasp but I didn't let go. Enduring the painful shockwaves, I grasped it with both my hands and smashed its base on the ground.

The Trident stopped vibrating and the shockwaves stopped, suddenly the golden glow started increasing. The golden glow covered both my hands and got absorbed into my skin making my hands all golden, but the glow from the Trident was still increasing so the golden color from my hands started to crawl up my body.

I knew exactly what was happening so I closed my eyes and let it happen. The golden glow was changing my body, activating a specific type of gene inside me.

I had studied the genetic information from the codex which was transferred in my body. It always puzzled me why my father didn't store the codex inside a liquid-geo or a sunstone crystal.

But on studying it deeply, I found that housing the codex in my young body and the radiation from the yellow sun had helped my body to naturally select the best genes for me from the codex.

I asked Jor-El and he confirmed it for me that he stored and bonded the codex inside me in the hope of my genes evolving itself. I thanked my father as he had made his son a Super Kryptonian who will remain unique.

On a deeper level of searching, I did find inside my DNA, a type of gene which was unknown as there was no information about it in the database. I knew I had found the gene which was my path to becoming a Kryptonian-magi.

But I had no method of activating that gene. There was an unconventional way, like asking a homo-magi to run his/her magic through my body, if I am lucky the gene will activate.

My cousin Kara became a magi the same way as when she was 7 years old, her uncle who didn't know about himself being a magi, accidentally circulated his magic in her body activating her gene.

But from what I know in comics, Kryptonian magi's always became attuned with one element. As most of them were born with activated genes specific to that element they never questioned it.

So I had a theory, that if the unactivated magic gene is overloaded with a high quantity and quality of magic then maybe I can access all the elements and become an all element bender like Avatar.

As my body became more golden I could feel a different power filling me up, I knew from my past experience that this was magic. But it wasn't in my body it felt further within and it felt like it was an integral part of me.

I traced the feeling and I got to know that it wasn't from my body nor my mindscape, it was from the place where I last felt those colors. I had a guess that it was my soul.

I could never feel it until now as it had no presence. Even when I found the colors, I couldn't feel anything else, but now as my blood with the golden glow became increasingly more magical, my soul started housing magic.

I think this is what a mana pool is, and with every heartbeat, I could feel the storage capacity and the suction rate of magic in my soul increase.

I inspected the Trident which was the place where my soul was filling its magic from, and if my soul felt like a bucket filled with magic right now then I can only compare the Trident as an ocean of magic. I couldn't even sense where its limits lie.

The golden glow reached my head covering my whole body in seconds but my heightened sense of perception made me aware of every minute change happening in my body.

The magic of Trident was also adding something to my body, it wasn't as much of a change as an extra ability granted through magic. I subconsciously inhaled and was surprised to find that now I was able to breathe underwater.

The Trident of Neptune really makes you the child of the ocean. I did not need it but being able to naturally breathe will make talking underwater easier now.

I opened my eyes when my body became fully golden, and now not only could I feel the magic but I could also see it. I could see a literal ocean of blue energy inside the Trident.

As I saw deeper I felt a call, a connection with the Trident. I felt a mysterious bond being formed between us, it wasn't telepathy as I could feel that bond connecting to my soul.

My soul felt rejuvenated, I felt happiness, a sense of euphoria, it was much more pleasant than any feeling I have ever felt, if my soul could ever orgasm than this was it.

That bond talked to me, not in words but in feelings, it wanted me to know that I was not alone, it wanted me to know that I was a part of something bigger, it wanted me to know that this connection, this power was Life itself.

I knew then that I had found the greatest secret of Poseidon, the secret which he shared with Arion, the secret which led to a great war in the past.
