11 Chapter 11: Unexpected Gift

As Saitama got home, He undid his uniform and got in his pajamas, and went straight to bed.

Ding!

As morning came, Saitama heard a ding sound, but just brushed it off. But after a while, he heard it again. Ding! this time he just thought that it was his alarm and swung his arm to the right. But it hit nothing.

As he opened his eyes. He was expecting to see his broken alarm, but; he saw a blue-ish floating hologram instead. This surprised Saitama. He tried to touch it, but his hand just went through it like it was not there at all.

He squinted his eyes to see if he was just hallucinating. As he opened his eyes. The blue-ish hologram did not disappear. After a while of observing the thing that is in front of him. Saitama then saw a few lines of letters that he couldn't understand.

As if sensing his thoughts. The letters changed into a sentence that he could understand. And there he read out loud.

"Huh? but why did he give me this?" Saitama said.

<Host, God had made an error in sending you to the One Punch Man Universe and made it so Characters from other Universes are present in here.>

"Isn't that necessarily a bad thing?" Saitama asked the System.

<No, it is not, but strong Villains from other Universes are present here too.>

"I don't really hate it. In fact, I kind of like this because there are more powerful people to fight." He said as he slowly stood up and went to the bathroom. "What is this 'Mission System' about anyway?" Saitama said as he brushed his teeth.

<Host, I am a System that gives Missions according to the events that would happen. And gives rewards accordingly.>

"What kind of rewards will I get?" Saitama asks while gazing at the screen. But he suddenly heard a voice inside his head, which startled him, making him jump.

<You will get upgrades, Powers of other Universes, or indestructible items.> Said the Voice in his head.

"That is overpowered if I get something good."

"Well then, what's my first mission?" Said Saitama as he finished brushing his teeth.

Saitama did not expect the System to be so generous. "H-hey System, Isn't that too OP? like I am already strong now. But if my strength increase by two folds...." Saitama couldn't help but be excited at what will be the rewards after he finishes his first Mission given by the System.

Saitama then rushed outside his apartment, not even eating breakfast. As he was doing his push-ups, counting was slightly getting more troublesome for him, so he asked the System.

"Hey System."

"Can you keep track of how many I do?"

<Yes, Host. I can keep track of it for you.> the System said as the floating hologram he saw earlier appear.

"Well, this is handy." He said as he continues to do push-ups.

An hour later, Saitama finally finished the Mission that was given to him. As he stood up in his position. He then heard the Ding sound from earlier.

Ding!

As Saitama saw the contents on the screen, he was overjoyed. But of course, he did not show it in his face. He quickly pressed yes. A few seconds later, nothing happened. Saitama was confused about what had happened. But before he could ask the System, he suddenly felt like his whole body was being pierced by millions of tiny needles inside out. It was the first time he had felt pain in the last 10 years.

This lasted for a few minutes before it stopped. There was blood dripping out of his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Fortunately, there were no people who saw him on the floor bleeding.

After the insane pain ended, Saitama felt a warm feeling go through his whole body from head to toe. He didn't feel any changes in his body. But he suddenly heard the familiar sound that the System makes.

Ding!

"But I felt nothing different.." Saitama said, slightly confused.

<Host. It is because your power is too strong that you cannot feel any strength gain.>

"Well, I guess that explains that." He said while walking back home. After he arrived, looking at the clock. Saitama realized that school was about to start. He then hurriedly pack his stuff and went outside.

At school. Saitama was confused why was everyone staring at him. But he just ignored them and continued to walk into his classroom. A few minutes later, the bell rang, and the teacher arrived at the classroom.

"Alright guys, here's the mock exam papers." the teacher said as he passed them. 'Oh, right there is a mock exam today.. But I didn't even study.' Saitama thought.

Ding!

'Hm? a new mission?' Saitama thought as he read the contents. 'How can I see my Stats?' as soon as Saitama thought about that, another screen appeared in his right.

It dumbfounded Saitama when he looked at his stats. 'Nani?' he couldn't help but thought. But he was shot out of his thought when his classmate in front passed the papers.

After that, he started writing the answers in the sheets, which surprised Saitama on how easy it was to solve the problems. A few minutes later, Saitama stood up and returned the paper. As he looked back, he saw he was the first one to finish.

Lunch Break came. Saitama was heading to the cafeteria when once again, he was being stared at by dozens of students. After he arrived, Saitama just bought some Udon noodles and sat at the same table he did yesterday.

After a while, Saitama started hearing some students say that he defeated the strongest delinquent in the school. Saitama was confused at first. But when he dug through his memories, he finally remembered that it was probably that guy who stopped him yesterday.

'Well, I guess that explains the reason I did not see him today.' After Saitama finished eating his noodles. He returned the tray and went outside. But when he was at the exit of the school, two guys blocked him and said. "Meet us at the back of the school. We have some business with you." The guy on the left said.

As the two guys left. Saitama heard something in his head.

Saitama was happy at the reward but. "Why a sword?" He said.

<Host, a change of fighting style can be good sometimes.> said the System.

"Hm. Well, I guess this is fine too."
