44 – Trouble In Another Realm (3)

Neptune and Minerva took Amaterasu to Olympus, to speak with Athena after she explained that she was a Goddess from another Realm. The siblings didn't know what to do in this situation, so they decided to leave Amaterasu in the hands of their mother.

The sibling guided Amaterasu through Greece, which was brimming with new activities. Amaterasu, even though injured and having just lost her entire realm, watched all cities with interest, ' It's incredible how it is so different for the cities in my realm...'

With the speed they possess, the trio soon arrived at Mount Olympus. '' Our house is up there.''

When Neptune pointed at the top of Mount Olympus, Amaterasu was surprised by its appearance, ' Simple but powerful! I'm looking forward to meeting the God who runs all this.'

Since Amaterasu was not an acquaintance, Neptune and Minerva didn't tell her much information on the way to Olympus, so she didn't know much about the Greek Gods. In fact, she knows nothing about this realm.

It was to be expected, as the Japanese Realm was secluded. So much so, that even the Egyptians didn't have any information about them.

After a while, the trio finally arrived at the meeting room of the Gods.

Neptune asked Amaterasu to enter, '' You wait here while I call my mother. Just act like you're at home.''

After saying that, Neptune went away, leaving only Minerva and Amaterasu in the meeting room.

Minerva stood to observe Amaterasu, who even though she looked injured, was still a goddess. Minerva wouldn't admit it, but she wanted to fight the new guest.

'' ... How did you get those injuries?'' Minerva couldn't help but ask. No one could blame her, as Amaterasu's appearance was a sight to behold. Blood everywhere, with some nasty injuries that haven't healed for some reason.

Amaterasu herself knew the extent of her injuries. The only reason she hasn't collapsed yet is through sheer willpower.

'' A creature from Chaos attacked me. The ones you defeated earlier were the weakest. They have many powerful individuals.''

Minerva made a mental note of this information. '' Can you say anything else?''

Amaterasu sat on the ground and began to meditate, to see if she could recover more quickly, '' Let your mother arrive and I'll explain everything.''

Although Amaterasu knew that the child in front of her was a Goddess, she didn't know how much Minerva knew about the situation regarding Chaos. Imagine the consequences if she told something the small Goddess wasn't supposed to hear.

So she decided to keep quiet and only talk about what happened when this Athena gets here.

Minerva realized that Amaterasu wasn't going to say anything. She then imitated the Japanese Goddess and sat down to meditate.

It wasn't long before Amaterasu noticed some gods approaching, 'It seems that not only this Athena has come. The other Gods of this Realm must also be curious about what happened to me.'

Athena, along with all the other Gods of Olympus, be they children or adults, entered the meeting room.

'' Mother, that's the stranger we met. Minerva and I were out playing in the mortal world when we noticed a different divine presence from our family near our location. She was being attacked, and we helped her.'' Neptune recounted everything that had happened.

Athena put her hand on his head, '' You did well. Now, you and the other children go over there and let me talk to this friend of yours.''

Neptune nodded and went to one side of the room, followed by the rest of the children.

At this point, Amaterasu was already standing, '' Nice to meet you, Gods of this realm. My name is Amaterasu, and I come from a distant realm bringing bad news and looking for a place to heal.''

Athena nodded at her, '' Hello. My name is Athena, and I am acting queen of this realm while my husband is traveling. This is, Dionysus, Aphrodite, Demeter.''

Amaterasu greeted all the Gods.

'' You can stay here for as long as you want. Now, what can you tell us about what happened to you?'' Athena said as she sat down.

Amaterasu saw that everyone present sat down, so she repeated the gesture.

"Well... where do I start?''

FLASHBACK

It was a normal day for all of the Japanese Realm. Mortals went about their usual routines while the Gods watched over them.

On this day, Susanoo and Amaterasu, who were good friends, were talking about the future, ''Today I discovered another portal. It's already the fifth this month.''

The Japanese realm had been invaded by Chaos forces for quite some time, but in the last year, it seems that the attacks have intensified.

Amaterasu sighed, '' What's going on? We already have problems taking care of the current ones, and now there are more.''

And the worst part of this whole situation is that not every portal was fully opened. The Japanese Gods know that this is a technique to distract them since such a portal opened out of nowhere and killed some mortals.

The Gods took care of the Chaos creatures that came out of the portal. When they went to see what had happened, it was as if the portal had never been opened or used.

''They want to make us tired. There are too many portals for our limited numbers.'' Susanoo knew the situation was not favorable for them, but he hoped that things would get better.

Currently, there were at least 50 portals scattered throughout the Japanese Realm, but only three were constantly sending out Chaos creatures. The others, like before, opened suddenly and then closed.

This forced the Gods to stand guard near the portal so that if an attack happened, they could defend themselves. But this meant that the Gods' forces were no longer in one place, and both Susanoo and Amaterasu knew this was a problem.

The problem is that they had no other solution to the problem. They even gave blessings to mortals, for them to help in the defense of the portal.

And in the case of Susanoo and Amaterasu, they stood guard in portals near each other, so they had a chance to talk often.

The two were chatting normally when suddenly they felt a portal of a very large size being opened.

Immediately, both of them were alert, " How is this possible!? I've never felt a portal this big!"

If before the portals were the size of a motorcycle, the one now was the size of a 5-story building.

Susanoo was already ready for battle, "I don't know what it is, but we need to prepare for battle. Evacuate all the mortals as far away from here as possible and come find me later. ''

Amaterasu nodded and left. Susanoo did the same, but going to meet with the other Gods to think of a strategy.

After a while and after placing as many mortals as possible in places deemed safe, Amaterasu went to meet Susanoo and the other Gods. Coincidentally, the place where all Gods decided to meet was near the biggest portal that just opened.

When Amaterasu was getting closer, she felt a powerful being inside the portal. She felt insignificant in front of it. Just as she was wondering why this being revealed himself, Amaterasu felt Susanoo coming in her direction, '' RUN!''

Almost as if the being inside the portal was waiting for that scream, it attacked. The location was near Amaterasu, so she knew she wouldn't have time to escape its radius. She prepared herself and waited for the attack.

Susanoo then arrived near Amaterasu and prepared himself.

'' What is that?'' Amaterasu asked.

'' Trouble! It's coming!'' Just as Susanoo finished speaking, the attack arrived.

' SHIT!' Both Amaterasu and Susanoo underestimated the attack. It obliterated all areas around the impact, killing almost everyone.

Susanoo and Amaterasu were lucky that they were a bit far away from the impact of the attack, but this didn't mean they are okay.

Amaterasu was sent flying away and was injured. The only reason she didn't die instantly is that Susanoo took most of the attack.

He was also near dead. Amaterasu struggled to get up, but was losing conscience, ' No! I have to help!'

The last thing she saw before losing her conscience was a creature of Chaos taking Susanoo into the big portal, his fate unknown. ' NO!'

The scene before Amaterasu's eyes after she woke up was hell. Her realm was engulfed with flames, death, and destruction. She couldn't feel any mortal in her senses.

' What happened...? Right! We were attacked by that being inside the portal!' Amaterasu felt fear when she remembered that just one attack was enough to almost kill her. She then looked up and noticed the portal was nowhere to be seen, but she could feel millions of creatures of Chaos in her realm.

' ... It's over. Someone also destroyed the core of the Realm. It will be destroyed in less than 1 hour.' Amaterasu then remembered Susanoo, ' Why did they take you, my friend? Are you even alive...?'

After getting up, Amaterasu felt some creatures from the Chaos coming in her direction. She picked her swords from the ground, ' If I'm going to die, then I'm dying fighting!'

Amaterasu lost count of how many of these creatures she killed, but she felt it didn't even make a dent. She kills one of them, and two more appear.

She fought constantly for days until Amaterasu felt she was near the barrier of her realm, ' If I pass through here, ill be in the Between the Realms... If I die, no one will avenge my realm. I'll escape, recover, and then think of a way to get my revenge.'

Along the way, Amaterasu tried to save any mortals she could find, but the problem was that she couldn't feel any mortals in the Realm. It means they all died or were captured like Susanoo.

Amaterasu killed another Chaos creature and took a long look at her ruined realm, 'I'll avenge all of you. It's a promise!'

Then, Amaterasu left the Japanese realm to travel the Between the Realm, her destination unknown. Some creatures from the Chaos followed her too.

END OF FLASHBACK

'' And that's what happened.'' Amaterasu finished telling Athena and the Gods when she noted their reaction was more of a surprise than shock.

'' What happened?'' Seeing this, Amaterasu asked, feeling something was not right.

Athena told her, '' Another Realm was destroyed not long ago... this makes 2 out of 4 Realms that were destroyed. Chaos is intensifying their attack.''

'' What do you mean another realm was destroyed!?'' Amaterasu was shocked by this turn of events.

Athena then explained what happened to the Egyptian Realm. '' Their mode of attack was almost the same if what you said was true.''

'' In fact, we have refugees coming from that Realm. They must be arriving soon.'' Athena told her everything.

'' ... This is bad.'' Amaterasu knew things would not be simple, but she would never imagine the situation was this bad.

They would continue their conversation when every Greek God felt a presence they knew. '' Apollo!''

Artemis was the first one to run toward her husband, the rest soon followed her.

Only Amaterasu and Athena were left in the Meeting Room.

'' Who's Apollo?''

'' One of our own. He is traveling with the Gods and Mortals of Egypt, so they just arrived. We can wait here, the other will bring them to us... We will have a lot to talk about.''

Amaterasu nodded. They sure will have a lot to talk. But, for now, the only thing on her mind is getting revenge, which will be very difficult to achieve.

'I'll do it no matter what!'
