1 Prologue 01: Death And A New Beginning

Alec's pov

My name is Alec Orion, nineteen years old, and I'm currently in a titan's hand, about to be eaten by him while all my supposed mother did was cursed him for what he was doing and me for resembling him. Well, you're probably confused, so for you to understand why I'm in such circumstances, we'd need to go back a few hours ago.

For as long as I remember, I was always a thrill-seeker; I did things that would scare most people shitless. Things such as swimming with sharks, bungee jumping off Macau Tower, and wingsuit jumping. I climbed Mount Everest and skied down from the summit; even then, I ended up with only a few broken bones. But I survived. I always did.

But everything changed when I decided to just relax and do one of the most mundane things before summer ended, and I'd start going to college. If you're wondering what it was, it was skydiving to me, one of the safest extreme sports out there.

*KRAKKA-KROOOM!!*

A streak of lightning struck eerily close to the plane that Alec was in, bringing a sense of urgency and fear to the pilot. "Hey, kid, I'm not so sure it's a good idea for you to jump. The storm's raging out there; I knew I should've just trusted my gut and not fly today even though the weather report said there would be clear skies." The average-looking pilot warned Alec, but unlike him, Alec didn't seem a bit bothered by this.

*KRAKKA-KROOOM!!* *KRAKKA-KROOOM!!*

"Don't worry about it! I've done this a lot of times! Nothing will go wrong!" Alec shouted over the storm to ease the pilot's worry, but it didn't work as the pilot still had a hesitance on his face.

"Look, kid, I've seen storms like these before, and I'm telling ya people don't survive them. And I won't be responsible for some reckless teen's death!" The pilot resolutely said without any room for argument. But Alec wouldn't be Alec if he didn't know how to get what he wants, even when people refuse him.

"Hey, do you remember that form my driver gave you to sign?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"It said that if or should any harm comes to me, you will in no way be penalised because of it, and you'll even be compensated with one point five million dollars." The pilot was shocked when he heard this much money, and his reluctance gradually weakened. But this money didn't mean anything to Alec; his father owned a multimillionaire tech company, and when he died, Alec inherited all his assets. When his mother found this out, she left Alec to fend for himself. When he was only fourteen, he hadn't heard from her since then.

"Tsk, fine then, but it'll be your funeral, kid."

"Like I said, I've done this already; there won't be any problems. Mostly." Alec said this to convince himself more than the pilot as he watched the terrible shower of rain and the lightning streaking across the sky when the plane opened.

*WHOOOSH!* *KRAKKA-KROOOM!!* *KRAKKA-KROOOM!!*

'What the hell am I doing? I'm not some scared little bitch. So why am I hesitating? Fuck this!' Alec took his parachute off his back and threw it outside the plane.

"Oh, finally coming to your senses. Though you didn't have to throw out the parachu- WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!!" The pilot shouted as Alec jumped out of the plane without having his parachute on.

"I FRIGGING LOVE THIS!!!" Glide across the sky, shouting when he jumped out of the plane. 'Now to find where that parachute is. Oh, over there.' What Alec did was one of the most dangerous types of skydiving banzai skydive. It's where the skydiver threw their parachute out and wait a while before jumping for it. Most probably don't know about this, and there's a reason why skydivers who do it tend to end up dead.

*WHOOSH* *WHOOSH* *KRAKKA-KROOOM!!* *KRAKKA-KROOOM!!*

'It's so cold.' Alec complained as he sailed across the sky to reach his parachute, and of course, he was freezing up here with the height he's at and the rain soaking him while the breeze made it worst. It felt to him like he was in a refrigerator. 'Finally, now to put you on.' Finally reaching his parachute, Alec tried for what seemed to be minutes to strap it on. "C'mon, what the hell is wrong with you! Get on!"

Shouting at it appeared to solve the problem as a few seconds later, his parachute was well strapped onto his back, ready to be pulled.

*Fwoosh*

His parachute was released without any problems. "Hahaha, I knew I could do it." For a bit longer, he effortlessly soars through the sky.

*KRAKKA-KROOOM!!*

Something that wouldn't usually happen to someone just happened to Alec as a bolt of lightning came out of nowhere and struck both him and his parachute. "Arrgh! Damn it." Alec screamed in pain as the electricity passed through his body and the heat burn his skin. 'W-w-what t-the h-hell?' Barely holding on to any visage of thoughts because of the pain, Alec questioned what just happened.

As Alec was about to lose total consciousness, the new speed of his fall woke him up. 'No, I can't die here. I WON'T!' A newfound strength was awakened inside of him as he tried to detach his burning parachute. As he saw the sea approaching closer, Alec tried harder to separate his parachute, and it finally happened. 'YES!' He celebrated in his mind as he went to release his backup. But it seemed the fates decided to royally fuck him today. When he detached the parachute, a massive hole was present, causing it to just flop about in the air.

At the sight of this, Alec lost all hope. "So…this is how I'm going to die, huh? I haven't even accomplished anything in life as yet. Tsk, life is so unfa-"

*Splat*

Before he could finish voicing out his thoughts, Alec hit the water with a sickening sound shattering all the bones in his body.

~~~
"Where am I? I thought I died. And why are there so many people here?" When Alec opened his eyes again, he was inside the most packed waiting room he has ever seen in his life; literally hundreds of millions of people were within the pearly white space. Not knowing what to do or where he was, Alec went to question the person in front of him, but when he tried talking to them, the person didn't appear to hear him, nor did they feel his touch when he shook them.
Not knowing what else to do, Alec followed the line as it went forward, hoping that he'd soon get answers. Alec's perspective months, years, decades, and probably even centuries passed before it was his turn.
"Next." A fair-skinned brunette with brown eyes dressed in a white blouse and skirt said. Not realizing that he was the one being called, Alec stood there, not moving. "I said next!" The woman shouted, which got Alec out of his stupor and running up to the desk.
"W-w-where am I?" Alec asked, a bit flustered after finally being able to talk to someone after all these years.
"Your ticket, please." The woman ignored his question and asked him for some kind of ticket.
"T-ticket? Look, I don't know anything concerning a ticket or what's going on, so could you please explain!" Alec said a bit forcefully to the woman, who simply just looked at him apathetically.
"Your ticket's in your hand; give it to me." The woman pointed at Alec's hand, and when he looked down at it, he saw a golden piece of paper Alec never knew he even had. Not having any other choice, Alec gave it to her. The woman took the ticket, stamped it with something then gave it back to him. "All your questions will be answered in there."
The woman pointed at a completely black door when Alec saw it; he gulped in fear. "There's no need to worry about it. It won't bite, probably. Now get going."
"What do you mean by probably!" Sweat started pouring off him, which looked weird to the receptionist since Alec was a soul.
"Geez, I can't wait for them to transfer me out of here." The receptionist muttered lowly when Alec left and entered the room.
Entering the room, Alec fear wholly disappeared and was replaced by another strong instinct. It was absolutely understandable as a woman, no, an angel, with short blonde hair with an ahoge, tanned skin, turquoise eyes, and a large bust that she did not appear reluctant to show.
"Yes, you're dead." The woman told Alec calmly without missing a beat.
"I could tell that bit from the fact that eye fell from the sky without a parachute and opened my eyes in this weird place."
"Well, yes, you could. In fact, you did, but deep down in your subconscious, you still wanted someone to tell you." The woman explained to Alec, who agreed with every word she said.
"So, where is this place?"
"This place is the afterlife building. The place where souls go when people die. Where you just came from was the waiting room. And this room is the office where'll it will be decided where you go." The woman explained to Alec, who began panicking, 'Holy shit, I didn't do anything worthy enough to get myself in heaven! That means I'm going to hell! Crap! Crap! Crap! Crap!'
"~Fufufu~ There's no need for you to panic, Alec heaven and hell aren't the only options available. There is also the option of reincarnation."
"SERIOUSLY!" Alec's face brightened up when he heard this. "Does that mean I'll get my three wishes like those stories back on earth?" Alec cheered up at the prospect of getting three wishes similar to those fanfics he used to read sometimes.
"If you have enough karma points, it is plausible you could even go to paradise, which you call heaven where you'd practically be a god in your own little universe."
"Wait, really? Then what are you waiting for? Tell me how many points I have."
"Now be patient Alec, and give me a minute." The woman told him as she powered on a computer and started typing away. After a few minutes, a slight look of surprise showed on the woman's face.
"Oh my."
"W-w-what's wrong?" Alec began to think of the worst when the woman said that. 'Am I going to go to hell!? Noway this can't be happening!'
"No, you won't be going to hell, Alec, but it seems someone else will." Alec became confused at that.
"What do you mean?"
"*Sigh* You see, Alec, someone really hated you. So much so that they generated enough negative energy around you, an amount that only a hundred million would be able to develop to kill eventually kill someone. This doesn't usually happen since so many people don't usually hate one person."
Alec was distraught when he heard that; after all, he doesn't remember doing anything for someone to hate him that much. "But how!? I don't remember doing anything for someone to hate me that much! Who is it?"
"Well, I don't usually tell people things like this but I doubt the big man would care. Hmm, it was Alexa Smith Orion, your mother."
"!!! No way, that must be a lie!"
"Why would I lie to you?"
"B-b-but she's my mother, why would she? She's my mother. How could she hate me so much?"
"I'm sorry for your misfortune, but I need to continue my work now. So from what I see here, you, unfortunately, don't have enough points for heaven."
"Hahaha, could my day get any worse?" Alec laughed dryly at his misfortune, thinking that he'd go to hell.
"But your points aren't low enough for you to go to hell. Well, unless you want to, but you do have enough points to reincarnate."
"Reincarnation? A new life, a new beginning somewhere where I can have a new family."
"Yes. So which will it be? Hell or reincarnation?"
"The answer is obvious, reincarnation."
"Good, now the amount of points you have is only capable of granting you one wish. Note you'll keep your memories intact depending on the universe you're reincarnated in."
"ONE WISH!"
"Please be calm, Alec. One wish is better than nothing."
"I supposed you're right. So where will I be reincarnated?"
"From what I see here, you're set to reincarnated in the dxd verse."
"WHAT! The dxd verse is full of dragons, gods, dragon gods, and alien gods. I can't survive there! Are you crazy!?"
"Alec, please lower your tone; I won't ask again."
"I-I understand, but the dxd verse is too dangerous. Especially if you aren't a girl or have the power of boobs."
"I understand. Now let me continue. You'll be reincarnated as Poseidon millennials before the beginning of what you'd call the cannon story."
"Poseidon? Well, at least I'll be reincarnated as a god. But he wasn't even that powerful; I don't think he was even shown in the anime or light novel."
"Maybe you'll change that. Now tell me what your wish is so you can get going."
"My wish, huh. Perchance can I wish for more than one thing with the wish?"
"I'd advise you not to; the last person who did well, I'll just say three words Boku no Pico."
{AN: I never actually watched that shit. I just heard people talking about it.}
*Gulp*
Alec gulped when he heard those three forbidden words. "Y-y-yes, I-I understand, for my wish, I want to rule over time and space."
"Ok, as for how you will look, you can choose from any Poseidon you saw in your world."
"Hmm, well, the Record of Ragnarok Poseidon looked awesome, so I guess he'll do."
"Well, then everything is finalized now to send you on your way." Minutes passed by, and yet nothing happened, which began to confused Alec.
"Uh, why haven't I been teleported or something yet?"
"*Sigh* Well, you see, Alec, honestly, I feel a bit bad for you, which is weird since I usually don't give a crap about anyone. But the fact that your mother hated you so much that she caused your death is a bit saddening to me, especially after you made it so she would inherit everything belonging to you if you were to die. So guess what I'll use my own powers to give you two extra wish but be mindful there might be drawbacks since I'm not as powerful as the one who granted your first wish."
"Wait, really. THANK YOU!"
"Don't get too excited; like I said, there might be drawbacks. Knowing that will you still accept?"
"Of course! It isn't good to turn down a gift. As for my two wishes, I'd like to be able to surpass every other god with my divinity and have the body potential of Sairaorg, which will fuse with my own godly body."
"Are you sure that's what you want?"
"Yes!"
"Well, it's done, now goodbye and remember that there might be drawbacks. I hope you have a great life."
"Thank you, and about those drawbacks, as long as it isn't some terminal illness, I'm ok with it. But of course, it wouldn't be any terminal illness, right?" Alec questioned the woman, who didn't even spare him a glance and just opened a portal under him.
"WAIT! IT'S NOT SOME TERMINAL ILLNESS RIIIIIGHT!!" Alec shouted as he fell into the portal and disappeared.
Alec's pov
"M-M-My Queen Rhea, here is your child; it's a boy." The next thing I know, I was handed to a woman to a woman with dark brown curly hair and green gem-like eyes. I felt this instinct that I'd be safe as long as I stayed within her arms, but that feeling was quickly gone as she handed me back.
"H-he looks like that monster! Why does he look like that! NO! NO! NO! NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! HE'S A MONSTER!" The woman I presume should be my mother started having a mental breakdown when she saw my face. It appears that my mother would hate me in this world as well.
The commotion garnered someone's attention as the room began to shake with footsteps. "RHEA! Let me see if you've birthed another failure." A giant who looked eerily similar to a middle-aged Poseidon from Record of Ragnarok walked in. He must be Kronos; he approached the person holding me and snatched from their hands with a force that no one should be using on a newborn baby.
"Hmph, another failure? You know what must be done, right Rhea?"
"I don't care. He's a monster just like you! Do with him as you will!" This woman she's ruthless. Not even having a second thought, Kronos brought to his mouth about to devour.
*Waaahhh!*
Instinctively I began wailing; who wouldn't I mean, this shit is scary. I'm about to be devoured by a freaking titan, and it's not even Attack on Titan. But it seems some sort of god was on my side as Kronos began hesitating when he looked in my eyes. "What no! NO! NO! NO! NO! You'd spare him and not my babies before!" Rhea wailed, which seemed to awake Kronos from his stupor.
"Unfortunately, I can't spare you. But as the first to make me hesitate, I'll name you after the unstoppable force, the sea, a force capable of moving anything. Ill name you Poseidon!" You don't need to name me! JUST DON'T FREAKING EAT ME!
*WAAAHHH!*
I shouted, hoping to stop him but all that came out was the wailing of a baby. And that's how I ended up in this situation. Kronos let go of me and I began to fall into his abyssal-like mouth, with Rhea cursing me every second. I'm going to make sure both of them suffer when I get out but until then.
This is going to be a fucking drag.
A few hours after, a woman entered the room that Alec was in prior to his reincarnation with a prideful look on her face.
"Oh, Mrs. Orion, you made it here faster than I predicted. Oh, you died eaten alive by cannibals. That's a rather fitting death."
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!? DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!? I CAN GET YOU FIRED FROM THIS LITTLE JOB!" Mrs. Orion shouted in rage at the woman.
"Fufufu, it seems you don't know. It's judgment day." As soon as the woman said that, Mrs. Orion was enveloped in a burst of flame.
"ARRRRRRGHH!!" She screamed the whole time as she gradually turned to dust and was teleported to the fire pits.
