7 Chapter 7: Awakening

Poseidon's pov

I'm currently lying at the bottom of the lake; something troubled me, something that I haven't thought about or had the time to think about since I've arrived here. Where the hell is here? I can't still be in Kronos's body even if I was.

How the hell did minotaurs and other monsters end up here? Did he eat them too? But why would he eat them?

It wouldn't make sense for Kronos to eat these monsters; that's if he's even capable of doing that.

The only place I could where the beasts would be is Tartarus, but how did we end up here? Is it when I went through the portal?

It should make sense if I'm in Tartarus since in one of the Greek myths in my past world, Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Hades, and I Poseidon were imprisoned Tartarus by Kronos. Though that myth isn't as popular as the one when he eats us.

While that theory of this place being Tartarus would explain the monsters, it can't explain this; the lake or the forest. While I've never been to Tartarus, I'm confident that the place where the most heinous and evilest set of beings go shouldn't have such a majestic lake nor forest.

"*Sigh* I shouldn't be busting my brain trying to figure out where that paranoid titan sent me. It's not like it will change anything if I found out." I should probably go to sleep. While I don't need to sleep, it can help alleviate my mind off of it.

Hades's pov

I'm heading over to the lake to get Poseidon to start my divinity training; I thought we would have started after eating, but he said he was going to sleep, something that my sisters nor I have to do. I was confused about why he wanted to sleep and in the lake when I asked him, he replied saying 'It will help to clear my mind.'

From my short time with Poseidon, I noticed that he's different from us. He wasn't frightened by this place or shaken by his time travelling through Kronos's body; if he was, he didn't show it.

The knowledge that he has is impressive; what the creatures are that tortured my sisters and me, why our father, Kronos, imprisoned us here, and what we are, and the powers we can attain with the thing called divinity that we as gods have. I think he has even more knowledge and I want it I want know as much as him.

Reaching the lake, I held my breath, dived in, and swimming to the bottom; I was looking around everywhere for Poseidon. After a few minutes of looking and not locating him, I started swimming back to the surface to catch some air.

*Huuuh* *Phoo* *Huuuh* *Phoo*

When I reached land again, I sat frustratedly on the ground; Poseidon said he would train me today. Why would he just up and leave?

"Tch did he lie to me!"

*Shuffle* *Shuffle* *Snap*

"!!"

A Few Hours Earlier

Poseidon's pov

I didn't sleep for long; if I'm to guess it was at most two hours, that's definitely going on my cons of being a god. I love sleeping. When I waked my mind felt relieved, and Ideas for using my abilities came rushing into my head; I decided to take advantage of it and go practice now.

Most of these ideas came from watching anime, reading manga, watching movies and novels; it's best to take advantage of them now when the memory is fresh in my mind, especially since I don't know if I'll lose my knowledge of my past life.

I came out of the lake and went a bit deep into the forest. After walking for a while, I found an opening somewhere that wouldn't cause the trees damage. My water manipulation went leaps and bounds after I came in contact with the lake, and now I want to see how far it went. Before, I could only summon a small puddle of water.

Now I feel I can summon at least a small pond. I shut my eyes and started focusing. I could feel the water molecules everywhere around me in the air, ground, and plants. I spread my divinity into the air, the land, and the plant and started pulling on the water molecules.

The molecules are energetic and wild, which made it really hard to command them, but after a few seconds, it became more manageable, and something like a bond was formed between us.

Then a large amount of water started filling the area; noticing that it reached up to my knees, I stopped pouring my divinity into my surroundings. Summoning a pond doesn't seem that much incredible when that half-blood Percy summoned part of the sea with just a seashell.

"Tch, how can some half-blood bastard have more control over water than me." I was starting to become a bit frustrated, which seemed to also make the pond a bit aggressive as well It started uprooting the few trees that surrounded me.

Realizing that my emotions are tied to my control, I calmed it doesn't make sense. I compare myself with others now soon; I'll be able to command all seven seas.

"Now, where was I?"

Hmm, I should be able to shape the water into anything I can imagine. Starting off simple, I made tendrils, then hands; after a while of practicing, I started making weapons like swords, spears, knives, and my personal favourite, a trident.

I pressurized the blades and points of the weapons so that they were capable of slicing and boring. I added rotation to the spear and trident to give it more power throwing them at the trees. I saw how devastating they could be; they were cleaving through the trees like they were hot knife on butter.

"It didn't make sense to try and move away from the trees, did it?"

What else can I do with my water manipulation?

Maybe if I started focusing on the water molecules again, trying to stop their energetic movement and slow them down and press them together, it didn't take long to accomplish what I was trying to do.

"Of course, it would work." Staring at the now frozen pond, I felt pride well up in me for my accomplishment. "Ice is just the solid state of water after all." I did what I did with the water to the ice. I made different shapes and weapons.

I found out that the ice shapes are way more robust than the water shapes, but the water shapes are much faster.

After a few more hours of experimenting with my hydrokinesis, I found out two more things I could make water reach boiling point while still controlling it that will definitely come in handy in a fight.

But I couldn't say the same for the gaseous state of water; the only thing I could think of using it for is to create fog. Maybe I'll find a better use for it in the future.

Now then, let's see why Poseidon was feared as the earth-shaker by the Greeks. I rested my hands on the ground and poured my divinity into it, attempting to cause an earthquake, but nothing happened.

Maybe I have to use more, and for an hour, that's what I did.

"What the hell am I doing wrong!" I depleted almost all my energy, trying to create even a tiny fucking earthquake. I'll just try one more time, then I'm heading back. Inhale *huff* exhale *phoo* I started sending my divinity through the earth. After a few minutes, I noticed that shit wasn't happening.

"Ahh, Damn it!" I punched the ground in frustration with the last bit of divinity I had left going into. I felt something around my fists vibrations when my hand connected with the ground. I felt those vibrations pass through to the ground.

*Crack* *tremble* *Boom*

A two-meter crater was with me as the centre. I started an earthquake, a really small one but one nonetheless; the vibration I felt in my fist must have been what caused it.

So I was going about it wrong. I was pouring my divinity into the ground to start the vibrations that would cause the earthquake when I should have been using my body to create the vibrations/shockwaves and travel through the floor. I'm a tremor man like Whitebeard, the number of ideas that I have I need to try them now.

"Fuck!" I'm out of fucking divinity, damn it. I really need to train Hades so that I can start absorbing his divinity. Well better late than never. I should probably head back now.

Probably should start my physical training as well, and when's the best time to do it than when I have nothing to enhance my body.

But what kind of training should I do? 100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, 100 squats, and a 10-kilometre run. Yeah, I doubt that would do shit.

No offence to Saitama's training, but I'm a god with Sairaorg's physical body potential. So I'll just multiply that by a hundred and do it every day. It shouldn't be impossible, I think.

Well guess I'll work on the space manipulations technique that I thought about another time.

============================================================================================================================================================

Running back to the lake, yes, running, I've decided to start my hell training now; I should probably also do some practice with an ice-made trident. I saw Hades by the lake; he's most likely looking for me; he's quite eager to learn, isn't he?

"Tch did he lie to me!"I stopped when I heard he said that I lied; why would I lie to him? I have nothing to gain from it.

This bastard, he's definitely only using me to get stronger, not that I'm not doing the same thing.

*Shuffle* *Shuffle* *Snap*

I walked closer to him, stepping on a stick while doing it.

"!!" I startled him.

I could tell by the way he looked around at me. He had that look that kids used to have in my past world when someone caught them stealing a cookie or some sort of sweet. He knows that I overheard him.

"I didn't lie; it's below me." Stared in his eyes affirmatively to pass on my point.

{AN: Says the guy who litteraly just lied. Are you forgetting that you lied about your knowledge, idiot?}

"I didn't mean anything by it broth-"

"Save your apology for someone that actually cares." He looked at me in shame.

"We'll be starting your training now." Shit, how am I going to go about this? I never thought about how I'd go about teaching him.

"You should find a comfortable position and relax." He sat on the ground with a lotus position. I waited for a few minutes hoping that he'd suddenly awaken it.

"What's next, Poseidon?" Well, I just bullshited that.

How did I awaken my divinity again? Hmm, Ahh, the feeling, the cool feeling rushing through my body. If he can search for that cool feeling, he should be able to awaken it, right?

No Kronos's divinity felt different than mine, so did Hestia's that must mean that every god's divinity feels different. But with my ability to feel others divinity, I should be able to tell what kind of feeling his divinity gives off, even if it's dormant.

I walked over to him and rested my hand on his head, and sent a small amount of divinity that I recovered on my way through his body. I immediately picked up on it, it was cold, not cool like my own, but cold and dark if I was still human, and I felt something like this I'd no doubt shit myself.

"Brother, what is that!"

"That's my divinity. Don't focus on that. I want you to shut your eyes and try to find a feeling much colder than my own."

"Y-yes."

"Don't answer; just do it." About three hours passed since I've been trying to help him awaken his divinity. Every thirty minutes, I send a small pulse through his body so that he knows what he knows the type of feeling he should be looking for.

I could see visible beads of sweat forming on his forehead; the idiot is trying too hard. When I was about to tell him to relax, I felt a massive amount of divinity release from his body; it was almost three times my own.

"What the fuck!!" How is this possible is divinity can't be three times my own this doesn't make any fucking sense.

"I did it, brother." He said to me with an arrogant smirk on his face.

Cocky bastard.
