6 Chapter 6: New Home 2

Poseidon's pov

When I realized that something was wrong, I came out of my entranced state; Hades said he was taking me to the minotaurs territory. So, where are all the minotaurs?

"Hades, are you sure this is the minotaurs' territory?" My question waked Hades from his own entranced state.

"Y-Yeah."

"Then where are all the minotaurs?" He looked back at me with confusion in his own abyssal eyes. "I don't know."

"I thought so, somethings wrong here why would they abandon their home."

"Maybe they ran away because they smelt the death of their leader." From my previous life knowledge, minotaurs do have a strong sense of smell; but they're also aggressive creatures.

"I don't think they would have just run off just like that, Hades."

"While it's unusual, for a stronger monster to come to these parts, one might have come and hunted them."

"Then isn't here that creature's territory now?"

"No, it would have gone back to its home after it finished hunting, which is more than likely located deep within the forest."

"Well, it isn't going to make a difference if we stay here questioning it. Let's go take a look at our new home."

It wouldn't make sense for me to dwell on something that's gone, so I started heading towards the lake. The closer I got to it, the more potent the feeling of wanting to be in it got. Finally, stepping foot in it, the sense of bliss that I got was unimaginable; I was filled with incredible amounts of vitality; I felt my strength rising to newfound levels. It was like using my divinity for the first time again. I felt 'invincible.'

{Think Mark Think LOL}

My divinity started rising as I went further down into the lake. When my head got covered by the water, I thought at first that it would feel uncomfortable not breathing how wrong I was; it felt like someone was suffocating me for years, and I finally got to breathe.

I felt at home at the bottom of the lake. I forgot everything else that was on my mind. I found peace; it was like achieving enlightenment.

"POSEIDON!" I heard Hades calling me, but I just ignored and enjoyed my bliss.

"POSEIDON! POSEIDON!"

*BOOM!* *Swishhhh!* *Swishhhh!*

Not being able to ignore him anymore, I swam at least three times faster than I could fly.

*SPLAAASH!* *FA-THUD!*

Breaking through the lake's surface, I jumped around twenty metres in the air and forming web-like cracks as I landed in front of Hades.

Hades stood there staring at me, amazed, so I broke him out of his stupor. "What." I was irritated by him calling me out of my peaceful state.

"H-huh, there's something I want you to see." He walked ahead of me towards a waterfall; I was a bit confused, but looking closely, I saw an opening behind it.

"A cave?" I looked at him questionably.

"There's something I want to show you in it." Saying that, he continued walking, reaching close to the waterfall; he jumped into the lake, swam across, and started scaling the cliff in two jumps by pulling himself up with his hands and pulled himself into the cave.

He looked back at me, prideful at his performance. "Aren't you coming?" He asked with a bit of arrogance. So even you're a bit arrogant, Hades, I might as well put you in your place.

"Hmph." I stepped onto the water and started walking; to Hade's surprise, I didn't start sinking. The waterfall parted as I reached the cliff, and the water started rising, bringing me to the cave opening; I stepping off the water platform I entered the cave.

I looked at Hades, whose ego was no doubt hurt. "So, what did you want to show me?"

"That." He pointed at the side of the cave with a slight scowl of frustration. When I looked at where he was pointing, I saw gigantic bones and cow-like skulls, no doubt belonging to minotaurs. I guessed that there could be no less than two dozen minotaurs slaughtered and were eaten from the number of bones there.

"Hades, are you sure that the beast would retreat deeper into the forest?"

"Yeah, I think so. It would be highly unusual for the stronger monsters to stay in these areas," Hades answered, slightly puzzled at this phenomenon as well.

I asked him if he was sure because back on my Earth, animals who hunt their prey bring them back to their habitat before eating them, so the only reason I could think of the minotaurs' bones being here is if this cave is the creature's lair. But then again, I can't compare regular animals to mythological creatures.

I went over to the bones, where I saw something glistening taking it up; I noticed that it was some sort of gold fur.

"Hey Hades, do you know any monsters with golden fur?" Hades walked over to me to take a look at the gold fur.

"No, not that I can remember." I placed the fur in my waistcoat for the future.

"So this is where you're going to be sleeping?"

"Where I'm going to be sleeping? So where are you going to stay?" I looked at him like he was an idiot.

"Obviously in the lake. Anyways I'll clean this up for you." Saying that, I stretched my hands towards the lake, and the water started rising and entering the cave. All the bones were washed out, and I throw them deep in the forest; I didn't throw them in the lake since that's where I'll be living.

"I'll be cooking the minotaur that I brought with me. If you want any, come and get it."

"Yeah, minotaurs are kind of a delicacy to us."

"I thought the minotaurs were too strong for you."

"Yeah, we usually kill the ones that were injured and abandoned by the herd." That makes sense targeting the weaker and the injured one.

"So I will after I gather some leaves to make a bed."

"Using leaves for bedding, who taught you that?"

"Hestia did." She is the goddess of the home, so, logically, she could make a stone age bed.

*Splash*

I stepped out of the cave and freefall into the lake; I felt a sense of solace and incredible strength as I entered it. Swimming across at a leisure pace, I realized that my control over my water domain comes to be much better after coming in contact with the body of water.

The way I commanded the lake to clean the cave just came to me; naturally, it's like I was using an extension of my body. I have no doubt that my control over it is way much better than my manipulation of time and space, even after I struggled for years to get them where they are now. I'll have to test it out later, along with my weather manipulation and earthquake generation.

Reaching the end of the lake, I came out went and grabbed the minotaur's battered body dragging it to a dryer area. I went and gathered some sticks to and other kinds of stuff to start a fire.

{AN: Won't bore you with the details of him going around picking up sticks.}

After starting the fire, which was not hard to do considering it's not my first time. But while it wasn't hard, it is ironic the god of seas lighting a fire.

I left the fire to become stronger and took the minotaur's body near the lake, where I used pressurized water to cut it into smaller pieces; when I finished, I put it over the fire to roast it.

It is the first thing I've eaten in decades, so to me, it was incredibly delicious, better than anything else I've ever eaten in my past life. But from the look on Hade's face who joined me not too long ago, I could tell that it wasn't the case.

"Brother, next time, I'll cook." He said to me, barely keeping down the meat with a slight frown on his face.

"Hmph. I'll be teaching you how to use your divinity tomorrow."

"Ah, yes, of course, Poseidon, I can't wait."

"The first thing I'll teach you is how to feel and manifest your divinity, then I'll show you how to make clothes out of it. I'm tired of seeing you naked."

"Naked?"

"It means not having anything on like what I'm wearing."

"I see. I wanted to ask you what strange contraptions that you had on. So clothes it seems rather uncomfortable though."

"It's not. I'll be heading off to get some rest. Make sure you do the same because your training will be hard." I stated to him as I walked towards the lake and swim to the bottom to rest.

3rd pov

*ROOOOOAAAAAR*

A creature around seven feet roared at a monster standing at fifteen to seventeen feet with one eye and something that looks like a hammer with a giant boulder at the end in his right hand.

*BOOOOM*

The one-eyed monster brought down the hammer. It shooked the ground and destroyed all the forestry, and created a crater at least a hundred meters around it, crushing the creature.

"BWAHAHAHAHA!" The one-eyed monster roared with laughter with its victory.

*Whooosh* *Fa-thud*

The creature thought to be crushed by the one-eyed monster appeared behind it, but it was standing at no less than twenty feet this time. The one-eyed monster, while turning around, swung its hammer as hard as it could.

When it was about to make contact with the creature, it raised its paw and swung with just as much force as the one-eyed monster did but with less effort.

*BOOM* *WHOOSH*

When the hammer and the paw made contact, a massive shock wave formed, destroying more of the forest.

*CRACK* *THUD

When the shock wave stopped, a breaking was heard with the fall of heavy objects hitting the ground. When the dust settled, a sight of the one-eyed monster's prized possession was shown falling apart.

The one-eyed monster stood there staring at its hammer, utterly dumbfounded, waking out of its astonishment. The one-eyed monster was about to retaliate with rage and hate filling its single eye but it was too late as, during its moment of shock, the other creature was already on its move. Opening its mouth with its four incredibly large canines and its other teeth not falling behind either.

*CHOMP*

"ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!" It bit down on the one-eyed monster head, who tried to retaliate by hitting the creature, but it didn't let go of the creature's one-eyed creature head. The hitting just seemed to ecourage it to bite harder.

After a few minutes, the struggling of the one-eyed creature slowed down until it eventually stopped.

*CRUNCH* *CRUNCH*

The creature devoured the one-eyed monster head noisily with its blood splashing all over its mouth. When the monster finished eating its prey's head, it grabbed it by its hand and started pulling it out of the deep part of the forest, only leaving behind a bloody mess and gold fur.
