5 Chapter 5: New Home

Poseidon's pov

After leaving where my sisters were, I couldn't stomach it calling them sisters after how they treated me. I was walking through the dark forest along with Hades guiding my way, thinking that he was just taking random directions

so I decided to break the awkward silence that has been going on for a while now.

"Hades, from what it seems to me, you're just taking random paths. I thought you said you knew this place."

"It's nothing like that brother, I'm taking us to the horned creatures' territory."

"Horned creatures? Ahhh, you must be talking about the Minotaurs."

"Minotaurs?" So they don't know their names, which was obvious given that they called them horned creatures.

"It's what the horned creatures are called."

"How do you know these things, Poseidon? About the horned crea..about the Minotaurs? And our father, Kronos. Were you born with the knowledge of them?" He asked with genuine curiosity in his abyssal-like eyes.

"Uh, Yes," I answered him somewhat truthfully; well, it is the truth since I was reincarnated with knowledge of the hsdxd world.

"It seems that that's the unusual knowledge that you were born with." Unusual knowledge what the hell is he talking about? I looked at him quizzically.

"Our sisters and I were born with the knowledge of different things, and it looks like you were too." He answered my thoughts before I could voice them. Knowledge of different things, huh? Hmm, it must be related to the domain we rule over as gods.

But what would my knowledge be? Would I even get any since I already know the future of dxd? Well, this dxd is most definitely an AU because of my presence; or would I get knowledge of the sea or weather? But I already learned those things in school.

Stopping my contemplations, I decide to ask Hades and see if my theory is correct. "So, what's your knowledge about Hades?"

Hades looked back at me with a somewhat smug face. "I know of a place called the Underworld. It is where the soul of the monsters go when they die."

So I was right after all the knowledge that they gain is based on the domains they rule over, so considering he's the god of the Underworld, it makes sense that he would understand it and the souls trapped there.

{AN: So Hades is the god of the Underworld and wealth; he rules over the underworld inhabitants, which obviously includes souls, meaning he is the soul king(Brook LOL). BUT! He is not the god of death. He doesn't decide who dies, nor is he capable of killing someone by touch like Death from Supernaturals. The god and personification of death are Thanatos; he decides when you die, and in some cases, he or Hermes takes you to the Underworld where Charon will ferry you to your eternal damnation that's what in Greek mythology. Thanatos will not exist as a primordial god. He'll just be a grim reaper like in the light novel}

"The soul, brother, is the essence that all creatures possess. If a creature doesn't possess a soul, they'll just be an empty shell" So gods have souls in this world interesting I thought we were just made from our divinity along with the fate of humans. Considering that humans and yokai, who both have souls, can rise to godhood, it is plausible.

Hades kept on babbling about souls and precious metals, and I decided to just tune him out. I probably should after gaining control of my abilities. I have been thinking about training Hades and the others on how to use their abilities. Seeing how Hera and Demeter treated me, I changed my mind, but I should probably teach Hades. He's the only one who neither feared nor hate me.

"Hades, I believe the reason why we gain this knowledge is because of our domain which is powered by our divinity."

"Divinity? Domain? What are those?" He didn't know after all well if he did, the minotaurs wouldn't be a problem for them.

"Domain is an aspect that all gods and goddesses rule over. Some gods and goddesses rule over the same domain. In contrast, others rule over completely different ones, and divinity is the energy that all gods and goddesses possess to power our domains and bodies, granting us unimaginable powers."

"Gods?" Hades asked me, looking a bit lost.

"Gods are supreme beings with incredible abilities whom mortals both revere and fear. And you and I, brother, are gods." When I said that, I activated my divinity, making my eyes glow blue and my small cup amount of water floating over my hand. Hades looked at me awestruck.

Hades stopped walking, and his expression turned from being surprised to anger and frustration. "If gods and goddesses are that powerful, why are we stuck here!?" Of course, he'd asked that anyone would after finding out that they're some powerful being, and yet they were trapped and tormented for years. Even if it's someone as aloof as Hades.

"It's because we're powerful. Kronos fears our power; he was given a prophecy by his father Ouranos that his children will become stronger than him and overthrow him just as he did to him, fearing that Kronos devoured all of us."

"He ruined our lives because of something a dying man said."

"Greek gods have a weakness for prophecies." Zeus ate his wife because of that.

"I won't fall prey to these stupid prophecies, brother, but when I get out of here, I'm going to make Kronos's fear come through."

"You aren't the only one brother, but as you are now, you'd be killed instantly if you tried fighting him." Hades visibly flinched back at my words and started gritting his teeth.

"But I'll make you stronger by showing you how to control and use your divinity and access your domains." His mood immediately changed to that of expectations. Shouldn't he be an aloof guy with a lot of pride and a loner? Then why the hell is he showing so many emotions and expressions.

"Then Poseidon, what should I do first?"

"First we'll have to find somewhere to rest, then I'll show you. So we should probably get a move on." He looked at me with a bit of realization and embarrassment, then started walking at a much faster rate than previously.

Hestia's pov

I felt terrible for what happened with our new brother; Hera and Demeter treated him unforgivable. It led him to despise us, and it drove him and Hades both away, but the blame can't be put on my younger sisters alone.

The way I reacted as well was wrong; I shouldn't have feared him; I should have accepted him just as I did with my other siblings. I should have spoken out more at my sisters and convinced Poseidon to come with me not out of pity but because he is my family. "*Sigh*."

"Sister, are you still held up about that monster in disguise," Hera said to me with her haughty attitude as always.

I was already frustrated and angry about what happened, emotions that I don't like to express, yet Hera made it worse with her snobby attitude.

"Hera, he went through the same thing as we did. We had no right to reject him, and doing so also pushed away Hades, another of our brothers!"

"It doesn't matter to me what that monster went through, and as for Hades, I say good riddance to him." I was surprised by what she said to think that my younger sister that I raised could be so low.

"Hera, that's enough; stop arguing, and Hestia, it's unfortunate that Hades left, but if it means that, that most- that Poseidon won't be staying with us, I'm content with that."

"Demeter you! *sigh* now I see where Hera got this attitude from, you might not show it, but you're just as arrogant and cold as her. I'm disappointed in you and her as my sisters."

I say to them, genuinely heartbroken at what I saw in them abandoning them and going with Hades and Poseidon might have been the more manageable and probably the best choice. But they're my family, and Poseidon and Hades seemed fine by themselves. My time would be best spent with these two trying to fix their attitudes. "Let's go before it gets too dark."

With that, we began our journey again to get back home.

Hades's pov

I am currently taking my new brother Poseidon to a part of the minotaurs territory. Initially, I wouldn't even think of coming here expecting to find somewhere to live, but with Poseidon's help, the cave that I saw a decade ago with a lake nearby will be our new home. It was all because of my brother's strength, one that the minotaurs can't even think of competing against.

When I first saw his abilities, I was jealous of I still am, even after saying that he'll teach me how to achieve strength like that by showing me how to control my divinity. This incredible energy that powers us gods and our domain, as Poseidon said. Once I achieve those powers, I will become a being that stands above all others, and when I escape here, I will show my father that that prophecy of his was indeed true. As I am the one who will dethrone him and take his place.

"We're here, Poseidon, our new home." Coming out of my thoughts, I say to my brother. Who seemed entranced by the large and brilliant blue lake with no inhabitants nearby it. This is weird, considering this is where the minotaurs get their water source.

Poseidon's pov

After a few minutes of walking, I began to feel this attraction, a wanting between me and something I wanted to go there no matter what. This feeling didn't seem to affect Hades, which meant it must be related to my domain. It turns out I was right, for, after just a few minutes, I was greeted by the beautiful scenery of sparkling blue water.

Unlike anything I've seen in my past life, it was majestic. I was entranced by it. I felt my divinity started fluctuating and absorbing something that I've been missing for my whole life, and I didn't even know about it.

"Amazing." So this is my new home; it's incredible.
