17 Chapter 15: Titan God of Sea

Poseidon's pov

After my fight with Einar, I teleported back to the island to make preparations and plans to take down Kronos, which would now be easier with the help of Amphitrite.

*Sigh*

Still, I'll need to find a way to control Einar since I don't want to kill him, especially his potential. Though he doesn't really pose a threat, he's just a battle-crazed idiot, and after I display how utterly useless he'd be against me in a fight, I'd doubt he'd be foolish enough to challenge me. But it's better to be safe than sorry if he shows any sign of disloyalty. I'll kill him then and there.

"Ah, brother, you're finally back." A tall, dark-haired man, 6' 7", who seemed as if he was waiting for me, came out of the forest and greeted me.

"Hades, I suppose you were waiting for my return?" He scratched his head a bit and nodded yes.

"Why?"

"The sea and land were angry. I thought it had something to do with you because you weren't there when I woke up. So I thought I'd come to wait for your return and ask what you were doing. There was also something else not long ago this woman appeared out of nowhere claiming you sent her." This guy is always so prying, and the woman he must be talking about is Amphitrite.

"Yeah, I was the cause of it, and the woman is a possible new ally."

"It's a good thing I didn't kill her then." Why the hell would he kill her? And why is he saying it so nonchalantly?

"Why would you kill her?" Hades looked at me like I was retarded, which is weird since he always looks at me with admiration.

"Poseidon, a stranger, appears before us on an island that we escaped to not even one day properly. What else would I do but attempt to kill her? She could have been an ally of our father's." He said in a matter-fact tone.

And now that I look back on it, he's right. Anyone would assume that Amphitrite was an enemy.

"Good, it seems that did nine years I've put into teaching you four hasn't gone to waste. You made the right decision to assume that she was an enemy." I talked total crap so he wouldn't realise that I didn't think of the possibility of them registering her.

"So, it was all a test?" He asked me quizzically while raising his right brow.

"Of course it was. We've just entered a new world where we have plenty of enemies. I wanted to make sure the four of you were ready for such a world, as such an opportunity presented itself, so I made use of it." After my explanation, I could see literal stars in his eyes, which would be adorable if it was Regina. Regrettably, it was coming from a guy who looked in his twenties but was actually almost a century-old old man.

"As expected of you, brother, you're always thinking ahead."

"Naturally. Now let's go see to our guest." I quickly ended that conversation so Hades would stop looking at me like that and also so I could forget about the mishap on my side.

"That's if she's still alive." Hades said to me with an unsure look of whether Amphitrite was still alive or not.

"What do you mean if she's still alive?"

"Well, when I left to come to find you, Demeter was giving off a rather thick amount of killing intent towards her." Over the years, Demeter's attitude had made a drastic change than it was when I first met her.

If I'm honest, this change was all because of me, because I slept with her. In my defence, I was a nineteen-year-old teenager in the body of a god, and I hadn't had sex in four decades.

I choose to do it with Demeter simply because Hera was, is, a bitch, Hestia has that whole virgin goddess thing going on, Regina is more like a daughter to me, and I don't know about some other people. Still, I'd never think of doing that with my daughter. As for Hades, no offence to him, but that wasn't happening while he's a good-looking guy. I don't swing that way.

So it left me with only one option, Demeter, and I have to say it wasn't a bad option. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm hypocritical, especially after I called Greek gods incestuous bastards; but what can I say? It's in my blood. Nonetheless, it only happened once or twice or thrice, maybe four, fiv-. Look, it doesn't matter how many times it happened. She became possessive and overprotective of me as a consequence of it.

"*Sigh* Let's go."

~~~
"I won't ask you again. How do you know Poseidon!" When Hades and I arrived where we stayed, a brunette was shouting at a woman with aqua blue hair wrapped in the roots and vines of the tree.
"Like I told you before, he sent me here. Now release me, you crazy woman." Amphitrite shouted at Demeter.
"I don't believe you. So tell me the truth, did you have sex with Poseidon? Is that how you know his name?" Demeter whispered in Amphitrit's ear with a chilling expression. Well, it wasn't really a whisper since everyone here had enhanced hearing and could clearly hear what she said.
"W-what n-no!" Why in Hades's name is she blushing? Doesn't she realise the situation she's currently in? When Demeter noticed how Amphitrite responded, she frowned, and the vines began tightening around Amphitrite more. "Argh! Stop it. It hurts!"
"Demeter enough! Like I told you before, I sense no lies from her words. And you have also gone too far, so release her." The rational one of all the sisters decided to step in.
But unlike how Demeter would usually listen to Hestia, this time wasn't the same. "Regrettably, sister, we don't know if she can fool your senses similar to how Poseidon can. Consequently, I'll have to go with my gut feeling that she's dangerous." When Demeter said that tree roots came from the ground with their tips resembling those of vampire stakes back in my old world.
*Whoosh!*
"That's enough!" I stopped Demeter right when the roots were about to impale Amphitrite.
"Poseidon! You've returned just in time. This thing has been claiming that you sent her here." At my voice, Demeter turned around with the hateful look she had not too long ago gone and replaced with a bright smile.
{AN: Those yandere smiles can be scary as fuck. And no, for those who assume this isn't a harem, maybe Demeter becomes wife, or maybe she doesn't.}
"*Sigh* What she says is the truth Demeter, I sent her." Demeter's face darkened at that, with Amphitrite's own lighting up with a blinding smile.
"So you bedded her just as you did me?" How did she get to such an assumption? "If that's the case, she needs to die."
*Crackle* *Whoosh*
Before Demeter could complete her attempt to kill Amphitrite, I froze her in a cube. "Poseidon! Release me at once! This harlot needs to be killed this instance."
"Demeter, I won't release you until you calm down," I say to her in a voice that showed I wouldn't be swayed no matter what.
"Poseidon, release me at once!" After waiting minutes for Demeter to calm down, she finally did, which allowed me to explain why Amphitrite was here. Which was to give us information as well as resources.
"Uh, well technically, Poseidon, I didn't say I would give you resources." When Amphitrite said that, the temperature around me began to fall.
"You lied to me?" I took a few steps, each freezing the ground as I went into her face and stared down at her. I could see the nervousness in her eyes as they started swimming around the area to look at something else but me.
"W-e-well, technically, I can get you the resources."
"Stop with the 'technically' and just say what you should," Hades said exactly what was on my mind but in a much calmer way than I would.
"Well, it's my father's assets, so we'd have to make him agree to join our cause against Kronos." Is this idiot joking? Oceanus is a pacifist; if he didn't help his brothers with their fight against Ouranos, there's no way he'll help us.
"*Sigh* What about these 'others' you talked about? Was that also a lie?"
"What!? No, there are others… just not as much as you might think." She said embarrassingly while staring right at me as if she didn't do anything.
"How many are there?" I asked her, barely holding myself back from doing something to her that would no doubt land me in prison back in my old world.
She was a bit reluctant to answer initially; when she finally did, I hoped she didn't. "F-four."
"I think I should have killed her, Poseidon," Hades whispered to me, and I agreed with him.
"Hahh, let's go see your father then." I've been sighing a lot today, haven't I?
"W-wait now." She was a bit flustered and taken back by my suggestion.
"Yes now, I don't want to waste my time on this anymore, and I also want to see this titan god of the sea."
"Ok, then come on," Amphitrite said and got up to walk over towards me.
"I'm coming with you as well, Poseidon," Demeter said as she got up and wrapped her arms around my own.
I pushed her away a bit gently; at least, I think I was gentle. "No, you're not. It's best if I go on my own." I grabbed Amphitrite by her arms and teleported us in the middle of the sea.
"Wow, that's a bit different than when I do it." She must be talking about teleporting; well, it doesn't matter to me as long as they think it's the same type of teleportation as theirs.
"Just take me to your father." She was a bit taken back by my attitude, which I don't really give a shit about.
"Ok." A whirl of water surrounded us, and the next thing I know, I was in front of an underwater castle with the most beautiful coral reef I've ever seen in this life or the last. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Amphitrite asked, but I already got over the majestic scenery as I felt something weird.
Amphitrite noticed this as she asked, "Is there something wrong?"
"Hmm? Ah, no, let's go." As we ventured through the castle, I saw hundreds of women with fish-like features, which I'm guessing are Oceanids, all of who are Oceanus children. I could tell when we reached the throne room because of the five-feet four, blue-skinned man with turquoise coloured hair sitting on a throne.
"So you're the fool who advertised himself to the whole world. I thought the prophesied son who'd end my brother's reign would be smarter." The blue-skinned man, who is definitely Oceanus, said to me, probably referring to the blast of divinity I released not too long ago.
"And I thought you'd be taller." I shot back at him, which he just ignored and turned his attention to Amphitrite.
"I know why you're here, daughter and like before, my answers the same I won't get involved in this war against my brother, and I'd recommend you to do the same.
"But father, we have Poseidon and his brother and sisters now. And I'm fairly sure you felt his power. If we allied ourselves with them, we'd be able to oppose Kronos."
"Enough with your foolish fantasies. My decision is final. Now leave!" Oceanus shouted, flaring a bit of his power. I decided it wasn't arguing with this guy. I mean, it's not like we really needed his help; if the original Poseidon and his siblings could defeat Kronos with only minimal assistance, surely I can do it with the army I have.
"Amphitrite, this was a waste of time. I'm leaving." I turn my back and say.
"I'm coming with you." I teleported us out of there back to the island. Explaining everything that happened even to Hera, who was back from her adventure with Regina. Even though she doesn't like me, she gets along well with Regina.
~~~

Which brought me back here again, leaving in the middle of the night with everyone else sleeping.

"Where are you going this time, brother." Hades walked out of the shadows of the trees. I swore when I left this guy was sleeping.

"Hades, what are you doing here?"

"Following you." He said as if it was the most obvious thing out there. Which it was, but I wasn't asking that I was asking why he was following me.

"I'm asking why you're following me."

"Poseidon, how long have I known you?"

"Almost nine or ten years. What's your point."

"So I know you fairly well, right?" Where the hell is he going with this.

"Yeah, you do now get to your point." I was starting to get irritated by his questions, and he could tell by the frown on my face."

"Well, I know when you're going to do something stupid , and I want to be part of it."

"Tsk, fine, I probably could use some help. But, if you die, don't blame it on me." I grabbed onto his shoulder and teleported us.

~~~
When we were teleported, the majestic view of the castle and coral reef greeted us like Amphitrite teleported me. And the same weird feeling assaulted me again, making me frown. "Hmph."
