15 Chapter 13: The five

Previous chapter

As his bones, flesh, blood, and divinity met the creature's body, they started to glow in all sorts of colours as their bodies shrunk. The sea and lands started raging as whirlpools were created, colossal lightning bolts fell from the sky, and the lands began to shake. When the creature's glowing stopped, so did the disasters. What was left of the animals were unnaturally beautiful humanoid figures that would make those elves of Poseidon's previous world look like complete and utterly disgusting beings.

"MY KING!!" They all said in unison as they bowed their heads to Poseidon.

...

A few moments before, Poseidon started connecting with the sea, a stunning beauty that would leave even gods and goddesses in awe. This woman was seated underwater in a giant clam with sea creatures such as turtles and fishes swimming around her. She had wavy aqua blue hair, crystal blue eyes that resembled the bright blue sea, and a fish's lower body.

"*Sigh* father won't even take action against Kronos even after he has brought ruin to our pantheon." The woman was clearly frustrated; it was easy to tell by how her eyebrows scrunched and the frown etched on her face. One of the turtles swims close to her ears as if whispering something to her.

"What he does isn't to protect me or my sisters, Gary. As much as I'd rather not say it, father is a coward." The turtle swam around and nuzzled up to the woman's face. A change started happening in the sea; the woman could feel it, and from how erratic the animals around her began to act, so did they.

Not long after, the sea started raging as whirlpools were formed, lightning started falling, and tsunamis began destroying and devouring islands. But none of that fazed her what left her in utter shock was the powerful pulse of divinity released in the sea. 'What is this power? I must tell father of this. Perhaps with this individual, we can overthrow that tyrant? But, no, I can't tell him yet; I have to find this person first. Then I'll bring them to father.'

As the woman made up her mind, she was surrounded by a swirl of water and vanished.

....

Meanwhile, Poseidon was floating in the calm sea with almost a hundred humanoid sea creatures bowing to him. Suddenly the creatures started going in groups according to their species; in the end, Poseidon was left with five groups. From each of the five groups, one individual approached Poseidon just by their physique and presence you could automatically tell that they were the strongest of their kind.

'So these five are the strongest gauging their strength, I'd say that they are already at ultimate devils' strength. And they haven't even started training yet' Poseidon looked at the five and contemplated that it wouldn't be farfetched for them to reach the level of super devils in a few decades.

"I should probably name you five, shouldn't I?" Hearing that Poseidon was going to name them, the five creatures beamed with excitement.

"It would be our utmost honour, my, liege." The largest humanoid, the blue whale, said in a formal speech similar to the fourteenth-century nobles. The others seemed to agree though the killer whale had a frown on her face, most likely because of how the blue whale spoke. "I suppose we should start from left to right. So you're first."

Poseidon points at the humanoid with long spiky snow-white hair, dark skin, toned athletic build with muscular arms and legs, blood-red eyes, and a height similar to his, seven feet five inches. When the orca realized she was the one Poseidon pointed at, a cheerful smile radiated from her face showing off her sharp teeth. While she approached closer to Poseidon, she turned around and gave the blue whale a mocking smirk. The blue whale could only frown at her behavior.

{AN: She looks like Mirko but without the bunny features.}

'Even though I gave them knowledge similar to a well-educated adult, it seems some of them still have childish tendencies. Now, what should I name her? If she were a male, I'd call her Willy, but sadly she's not.' Poseidon frowned at the missed opportunity.

"Hmm, guess I'll name you Adira Orcinus."

{Orcinus is part of the scientific name for the killer whale (Orcinus orca)}

"HAHAHAHA, Thank you!!!" The now named Adira swam to Poseidon at incredible speeds and wrapped him in a bear hug with her absurd strength. If it were anyone else, their bones would be turned to dust from it. The others were surprised by her actions, but one person specifically seemed greatly offended by her.

"Why are you dirting his highness with your filthy body." The humanoid blue whale said with a cold glint in her eyes and a harsh but calm tone that would send a shiver down anyone's spine.

"Ugg, stop being such a stuck-up bitch; you're just jealous because the king chose me first." Adira bit back mockingly at the blue whale. Hearing their bickering, Poseidon couldn't help but shake his head. 'So these two don't get along, noted.'

"That's enough." Poseidon talked low, but his voice reverberated in the area with unimaginable power in it. This quieted both women, not allowing either of them even to make another sound.

"And, Adira, you can let me go now." Poseidon pushed off Adira and looked around at all of them with a stern look that a parent would give a child when disciplining them. "Now, allow me to continue, and don't interrupt me again." Poseidon specifically looked at both Adira and the blue whale when he said that.

Next was the humpback whale; he was almost two feet taller than Poseidon and Adira. He had straight waist-length hair, pale green eyes, light-skinned, and a lean body. He possesses black, eel-like tattoos that run across his back and along his arms. He was very calm as he approached Poseidon. "My, king" Immediately from how he presented himself, Poseidon could tell that he was well-spoken, soft-toned, and more cool-headed than the others seemed to be.

{So he's basically a white Kaldur'ahm from young justice with long black hair. He'll also have the same personality as him.}

'Hmm, what should I name you. Guess I'll just pull another name outta my ass.' "From now on, your name will be Conrod Megaptera." But, unlike what Adira did, the now named Conrod didn't jump in joy; instead, he looked up at Poseidon and questioned.

"Forgive for me impudence after you've granted me a name, but could you perchance tell me what it means, my king?"

'Eh? I didn't think he'd actually ask.' Poseidon was a bit taken back by this, and so were the others, especially Adira, since she didn't get the chance to ask about her's. "Conrod means wise counsel, something that I have no doubt you'll be in the future, and Megaptera is a part of your species' name." 'Though base on the time period, they haven't been given their scientific names as yet.'

"It is a great name, my king. Though you said, Megaptera is only a part of my species name, what is the rest of it?"

"I think it was Megaptera Novaeangliae."

"Thank you for listening to my selfish request, my king." Conrod expressed his gratitude, and from the slight cheerful look on his face, he was indeed grateful.

"It wasn't a problem, Conrod. Who's next?"

"About time I got my turn. I guess you saved the best for last, huh?" The sperm whale came forward casually as he indirectly referred to himself as the best and the last even though he wasn't. He has short, straight black hair and dark eyes, which contrast with his translucent-looking pale skin; he is slightly muscular while standing at nine feet tall.

"Yo, boss, make sure to give me a good name, something to impress the girls." He said not bowing or referring to Poseidon as royalty as the others before did. But he seemed as if he couldn't be bothered with such formal talks.

{His skin tone is similar to Kratos and Sai's}

"Hey! You pail skinned bastard, don't tal-"

"Ah, shut up, you damn oreo." He cut Adira off before she could finish her complaint.

"I don't usually agree with that ignorant fool, but you shouldn't be talking to his highness like that." The blue whale surprisingly backs Adira despite their previous argument. All the while, Poseidon was standing aside, obviously pissed off by their interruption again. You could tell by the slightly raised eyebrow on his stoic face.

"Do you guys have a stick up you-" All of a sudden, a massive amount of bloodlust was released; it swiftly caused the sperm whale to shut his mouth. All this savagery was originating from one person, the humanoid megalodon. Not able to say anything, all the sperm whale could do was bow before Poseidon to be named. Poseidon looked at the megalodon and saw a ferocious smirk on his face. Ignoring this Poseidon continued to name the sperm whale.

"Ameleo Physeter will be your name from now on."

{AN: Physeter microcephalus, the scientific name for the sperm whale.}

"Hmm, it doesn't sound too bad. Guess I'll keep it, thanks, boss." Ameleo swam off and went to brag about his new name to the female whales and megalodon's, whom Poseidon wasn't going to name.

Almost instantaneously, after Ameleo left, a ten feet tall, beautiful, slender woman with long, light blue hair, blue eyes, porcelain white skin, and a stoic expression on her face.

She came rushing at Poseidon without him even calling her. However, unlike her indifferent demeanor, she was quite excited about finally getting named, especially after it took so long.

{AN: She looks like Esdeath from Akame ga kill.}

'Though those two incompetents, Adira and Ameleo, got to be named first, I'm sure my king didn't put a lot of thought into it. But I'm confident he'll put a lot into my own.' She stood there bowing her head while she believed that Poseidon was contemplating a name for her. But contrary to that, Poseidon was more puzzled by the fact that she looked familiar. Not only her the others as well.

'Why am I just realizing this? They all seem to resemble a character from my previous life. Did I influence their appearance when I used my divinity to create them? I'll have to experiment later; for now, I should name her, so she can stop bowing.'

"Hmm, how does Elease Balaenoptera sound?" Hearing her new name, an uncontrollable joy-filled Elease, she could hardly hold herself back from practically pouncing on Poseidon. Yet, even after the turmoil of emotions within her, she still managed to keep a stoic face.

{AN: Balaenoptera is part of the blue whale's scientific name. The full name is Balaenoptera musculus}

"Any name given to by you, your grace is a magnificent one." 'Instead of asking for the meaning of my name as Conrod did, I'll figure it out myself. Surely his majesty would praise me.' Elease contemplated in her mind as she went back.

The only one left to be named now was the megalodon; he approached Poseidon slowly, taking his time as he passed the other four. He frowned at them and said something.

"Weak." The four were taken back by him, calling them weak after all they could feel the almost unlimited power coursing through their veins. When the megalodon came up to Poseidon, he looked down at him; with the height difference being nearly three feet, it wasn't that hard. "Fight me."

"!!!!" It seems that the megalodon's special abilities were surprising people as it just requested a fight with Poseidon while giving him a bloodthirsty grin, the person who created him. "Do you realize what you're saying?" Poseidon's whole demeanor changed as his body began to radiate power.

"Of course I do! But I won't serve someone weaker than me!" As the megalodon said that, he began to release power at the same level as Poseidon's.

"It looks as if I'll have to put you in your place."
