22 Ch.21 Texting with Mom

"You alright?" Ayano was surprised by the sudden appearance of Oga who was looking a bit impatient.

'Did something to her?' She wondered if something major happened to his girlfriend and couldn't help but be worried about it.

"Oh about that-" She listened to him carefully to not miss any details so she could provide as much help as possible, "Can you tell me where I can find a nearby washroom?" 

Hearing his words, she couldn't help but let out a huge sigh while also looking at him with a bit of annoyance.

"Oh, it's right beside the counter." She pointed towards the door leading to the washroom door and then went back to her work while feeling annoyed over being worked up over nothing at all.

'And this guy is not even replying.' She looked at her phone to see her being sent an hour ago with no replies back at all.

"Can't even go on a date." She mumbled in frustration as it had been a month since both of them went on a date due to their busy work schedule.

'And we even planned for it today.' Both of them planned to take an early leave today but now he isn't replying to her at all, which kept annoying her further.

"It's okay Ayano, he is probably busy due to work and we can always do it later." She mumbled this to herself while trying to calm down as she knew getting angry was not going to help with anything.

'And I am sure it will be the best date ever.' While feeling hopeful and a little cheerful, she went back to work so she could finish it fast today.

"She sure is weird huh?" Oga looked at Ayano back as she went towards the customer and couldn't help but judge her.

'Oh well, probably dealing with some problem, at least she is a good person though.' Deciding to not dwell any further on that, he went towards the washroom to empty his bladder.

Entering the washroom, he got out of it two minutes later while also feeling somewhat amazed at something, 'It really is pretty big.'

Before going back towards the locker room, he decided once again to check his phone to see if there were any messages.

'I should probably do something about this.' Looking at his notifications, he could see that there were more messages from his mom and Shion.

Even though he wanted to ignore it, he felt like it would make the situation worse and it wouldn't be any different than how the past Oga treated them.

'Man, how did he have to be such a shithead to people who care about him.' Annoyed about his past, he decided to message his mom first and especially for something he wanted to do with her today.

Looking at her message, all were asking about his whereabouts and his well-being which made him smile due to how much she loves him.

And it even annoyed him further about his past self as she was treated like a stranger even though she loved him so much, 'Getting angry won't do anything, let's try to fix it first.'

Mom: [Is everything okay???????]

Oga: [Don't worry, I am alright just woke up now.]

Just as he sent that message he got an instant reply from her which surprised him a bit as she should have been in the company right now.

Mom: [What happened? Where were you till now? Were you with Shion? But even she didn't know where you were? If you have any problems, you can tell me.]

Oga: [Calm down first, and let me answer it one by one.]

After the surprise, he couldn't help but smile at her worry as they continued their conversation which was filled with her worries.

Mom: [*Sticker of chibi character nodding*]

Oga: [So basically, sorry for the late reply I woke up late today as all our friends had a sleepover and played some games. And no I was not with Shion and lastly don't worry if I ever have any problems, I will tell you first.]

Even though he didn't want to, he decided to lie to her as he didn't want to tell her that he was having sex with Chifuyu and instead decided to go with the lie about a sleepover with a friend.

Mom: [Oh that's good, but remember to tell me first about such stuff]

Oga: [I will, don't worry.]

Mom; [That's great, anyway I should be going now as still have some work remaining, cya]

Mom: [*Sticker of chibi character waving*]

After answering all her questions, he could feel that she was relieved even through the phone due to her much calmer message now.

But before she goes, he decides to ask the thing he had planned earlier even though it seemed out of character from old Oga.

'Well not like chatting with her is something old Oga would do anyway.'

Oga: [Will you be back home today by evening?]

Mom: [Hmm? What happened? Did you get a girlfriend? You and Shion are finally dating now?}

Oga: [Mom, calm down. Just answer that first]

He couldn't help but sigh due to her behaviour as she likes to get over-excited over simple stuff.

Even though a few minutes passed by, there was no reply which worried him a bit but suddenly he could see her trying something.

Mom: [Don't worry, your mom is always free for you and I will be home before you even know it.]

Mom: [*Sticker of chibi character wearing sunglasses*]

Oga: [Thanks Mom, and I will see you later then.]

Once again there was no reply for a few minutes, so he decided to put his phone back in his pocket and went towards the locker room.
