26 Introductions

Immediately after the teacher finished giving everybody their teams, classes ended and they were free to go meet their soon to be Sensei.

As soon as their locations were given, the kids began racing out of the classroom to their designated locations with their teammates.

All this happened until eventually the room was virtually empty. The only people left in the room were Mizuki's classic friend group and Idate.

Even the sensei had left.

Mizuki sighed slightly as he looked around at the classroom that he had spent nearly the entirety of his time in since he had come to this world.

But as a new door closes, another one opens. It was time for Mizuki to face the real world. Time for him to become a Shinobi.

Mizuki shook his head as he turned to face his friends. He wouldn't be able to goof off with them all day and it appeared that reality had struck them all as well.

The mood was overall pretty somber, Mizuki sighed yet again as he decided that enough was enough.

Mizuki: "C'mon Guys. Lets Stop Moping. Sure We can't fuck around as much as we used to but we are about to achieve our dream! We can all still hang out together outside of missions and stuff"

Although he was no Obama when it comes to public speaking, it appeared that his little rant had actually cheered everyone up slightly.

They all let out a collective laugh as they remissed for a little whilst before joking around with one another.

Obito: "..And that's how I'm gonna be Hokage!"

Shisui: "How about you say that after you can complete your first objective *wink*"

Obito and Rin were actually both blushing now as they were tongue tied.

Anko: *laughter* "dumbass"

Everyone then turned to look at her.

Everyone: {Say that after you end up sealing the deal with Mizuki}

Anko then let loose a nervous laugh as she realized the irony behind her words.

Guy: "NOW LET THE POWER OF YOUTH EXPLODE"

Mizuki: "YAA! LETS GO KICK SOME ASS!"

Everyone: "..."

Looking at the two boys the rest of them could only shake their heads. It appeared that training with Duy had some effect on Mizuki after all.

The group all collectively nodded to one another as they stepped out of the classroom for the last time, heading towards the new chapter of their lives.

Mizuki, Anko and Idate rushed to the location that they were given to meet their sensei; The Konoha Library.

It took them roughly five minutes to reach their location and when they got their, the Library was perfectly normal.

Mizuki talked to the head librarian, an old woman who had a true passion for books, and one who was actually an acquaintance of Mizuki's as he had studied at the Library quite frequently for when he was training as a medical - nin.

Talking to her, Mizuki gathered that their sensei was waiting for them on the second floor in the lounge.

Without waiting a moment, Mizuki and Anko dragged a bewildered Idate as they went to the lounge only to run into their teacher, who was quietly reading a book on Biology. No Doubt trying to learn more for his experimentation.

Mizuki, Anko and Idate approached Orochimaru. Without so much as looking at them, Orochimaru let loose a smirk as he put away his book and turned to face them.

Orochimaru: "Hello there, nice to meet you. I am your jonin instructor Orochimaru"

Orochimaru was almost identical to how he appeared in the anime despite it being an odd fifteen years earlier, give or take a year or two.

He wore the standard konoha shinobi get-up, a flak jacket with a black body glove underneath it.

As he introduced himself to the children he let loose a light smile.

Although the smile was relatively disarming to Idate, to Mizuki it was eery and another reminder of the tension that was about to grow.

Orochimaru: "So, how about we do some introductions before I tell you what we will do."

Idate: "Introductions?"

Orochimaru: "How about...Your Name, Your Hobby and Your Dream"

Mizuki sighed as he thought to how Kakashi said something nearly identical to Orochimaru in the anime. Was there some kind of guide book or something?

Regardless, Mizuki listened attentively as he tried to learn more about his future team-mate.

Idate: "Alright..I'm Idate, I like to play games and my dream is to be a great shinobi!"

Mizuki shook his head, he had never heard such an average and cliche answer to a question in either of his lives.

Regardless, the exercise went on as Anko was up next.

Anko: "Hi, I'm Anko, My Hobbies are Cooking and Sleeping and I dream to eventually be powerful and then retire and eat dumplings for the rest of my days"

Mizuki smirked to himself at her answer, Whilst that plan sounded fine and dandy Mizuki quickly remembered how Anko ended up looking in Boruto and vowed to himself that he wouldn't let that happen.

It would honestly be a shame for someone like Anko to get such a downgrade, not to mention Mizuki feared he would end up like that to with how much he loved food.

Looking around Mizuki realized that everyone was looking at him. He scratched the back of his head nervously as he introduced himself.

Mizuki: "Nice to meet you guys, I'm Mizuki. I enjoy sleeping and eating, although as far as "hobbies" go I would probably say reading. My dream for the future is to learn as much as I can and to get strong enough to protect my friends"

Orochimaru's expresion changed slightly as he faced Mizuki. It was quite rare to see someone who had a similar goal after all.

Orochimaru: "That's an interesting goal. Although, that does make me want to ask you a certain question."

Mizuki: "Fire Away."

Orochimaru: "As far as knowledge goes, why do you think some of it is banned? And why do you think that some knowledge, like forbidden jutsus are inherently evil?"

A Test.

Mizuki: "Well, I think that knowledge is banned for the simple reason that knowledge is power. It is only natural to limit information as much as possible, although not the most morally appropriate thing it's just how the world works."

Mizuki: "As for if knowledge was evil? Obviously not. Some words or formulas written somewhere aren't evil."

Mizuki: "The reason why they are forbidden is because they either harm the user or do something morally "wrong". Whilst the knowledge itself is not inherently evil, it grants the capacity to do so which is why it is forbidden."

Mizuki: "Not to mention the fact that someone learning such jutsu would make them much more powerful so whilst the knowledge itself wasn't evil, I get why its banned."

Orochimaru nodded, satisfied with his answer. He was just about to say something when..

Idate: "Sensei, How about you do one?"

If glares could kill, Idate would probably be dead several times over, but alas, Orochimaru hid his ire expertly as he did so.

Orochimaru: "I am Orochimaru. I enjoy reading and learning in general, and my dream is to learn as much as I can"

After pausing to make sure that nobody else had anything to day, orochimaru then started on the main topic.

Orochimaru: "Ok, so I need to test the three of you one last time to allow you all to train under me as genin, if you fail I will expel you both as my student and from the academy permanently."

Anko and Idate were clearly in shock about this information, although Anko was quickly able to get over it as she was already stronger than the majority of genin in general.

Idate on the other hand was constantly stuttering, tripping over his own words until he was eventually able to barely able to compose a full sentence."

Idate: "T-T-That's not fair....I-I-I passed the exam at the academy"

By this point, Mizuki couldn't stop himself looking at the boy with clear and naked gaze of disdain.

This boy was virtually crying about taking another test. Sure it was still a surprise but a ninja could hardly be expected to become one without being tested in the field. Just because you can do one jutsu and write a paper doesn't mean you can suddenly become a top-tier shinobi.

Mizuki's last life could be called the definition of "unfair" but he wasn't crying to god about it. Sure he hated it, but he knew that calling foul on the world is just another way of admitting weakness so he sucked it up and moved on.

Honestly, Idate should be thankful that he wasn't an academy student under the rule of the Fourth Mizukage.

Here he was complaining about another test whilst those kids fully had to murder on another. pathetic.

Mizuki sighed as he turned to face Idate.

Mizuki: "So what, it's just another test. It only makes logical sense that he would judge us. Why else did we train in the academy if the only thing we had to do to become a ninja is to write a paper and do a basic jutsu"

Anko looked at Mizuki and let loose a small smirk. Few things ever got Mizuki ranting, but when they did he was an absolute savage. And it was always supremely entertaining to watch.

Mizuki: "So, are you going to tell us the test or is it a surprise"

Orochimaru: "A surprise, all you guys need to know is not to eat breakfast before you come. Also, testing will start at 4am tomorrow morning. If you are late then you fail."

With a quick nod, Orochimaru body flickered away as he lest the children in the library.

As soon as he left, Anko and Mizuki looked over to one another and they both got up to head to the dumpling house. They had to discuss strategy.

As they were about to leave, Mizuki turned to his "teammate" who he regarded ever so lowly.

Mizuki: "Idate, we are going to talk strategy for the test. feel free to join if you want."

After waiting for five minutes and noticing that he wasn't coming, Mizuki shook his head in disappointment as he walked away and joined Anko to talk about the test.
