After the night was over I left the underworld, Eresh was kind to give me some directions, and also some advise, apparently that if I stepped into any temple their god would be notice me instantly, I better stay clear from all temples from now on.

I'm now headed to the dwarfen kingdom, I heard from Eresh that they got secret technology and advanced researchs that other kingdoms don't have, honestly I was surprised I didn't expect the dwarf race to be superior in term of intellect than other races.

Ruby: "note: dwarfs are a race that is constantly advancing their weapons, and other lifely tools, thus they have the best weaponry in the realm, and other kingdom rely on them to supply most of their war necessities, I don't suggest for you to count on whatever stereotypes you have about them being short tempered and drunkards".

(I'll take notice of that).

Ruby: "lifeform detected nearby".

I was genuinely surprised because we're currently flying along a river in a thick forest, their shouldn't be anybody here fore miles at least.

I look down and notice an something flying on the top of the water.

I hurriedly fly down and pull him from the water, he seems to be breathing that's good, his status said hangovered, does that mean he got drunk and fell to the river.

He seems to be of old age, both his beard and hair are gray.

His family should be looking for him, perhaps I should look if someone is nearby..

Hadrick: "mmm..."

He made a sound he's waking up.

Sapphire: " Excuse me are you alright, do you know who you are and where you're at?".

I asked gently as to not alarm him.

Hadrick: "!!!!"

His eyes bolted open in surprise.

Hadrick: " you.....

Have you saved me"

I nodded with a smile, he must be grateful I saved his life.

Sapphire: "huh..."

Hadrick: "WHYYYYYY DAMMIT..

YOU KNOW HOW HARD WAS IT TO FIND THE COURAGE TO JUMP..

I HAD TO DRINK ALL THE ALCOHOL IN MY HOUSE!!!"

Sapphire: " you mean you jumped to the river on purpose?".

Hadrick: " OF COURSE!! DO YOU THINK THAT I'M CLUMSY ENOUGH TO FALL!! "

Sapphire: " don't know, just met you".

Sapphire: "well there is no need to be so rude about it, I don't know why you are trying to kill your self but we can discuss that over some food and drink".

I said as I took out a wine bottle I got from the even kingdom, and some cheese pastries that I made beforehand.

Hadrick: "!!!"

Hadrick: " WHAT WAS THAT!!!?"

Sapphire: " mm... What was what?".

Hadrick: " YOU KNOW WHAT!!! WAS THAT SPACE MAGIC?!!"

I just realized what he's talking about, after studying under honey and with Ruby's instructions, I was able to master I new magic that I call storage, basically I use the dark element to make a space where I can store things.

Sapphire: " no no, I don't know anyspace magic I just use the dark element to-".

Hadrick: " THAT IS WHAT SPACE MAGIC IS YOU FOOOOLLL, A VARIATION FROM THE DARK ELEMENT!!!"

Ruby: "note: the dwarf is correct, what you use is space magic".

(ohhh)

Hadrick: "Ahhh.. To think I would meet someone who can use space magic in a place like this *sigh* if I still had my job I would have probed you".

I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU USED TO DO BUT I'M GLAD THAT YOU WERE FIREDDDDD.

After that me and Hadrick started our conversation while eating and drinking, apparently Hadrick was a High researcher, in the dwarfen kingdom, and was well respected by all others even the royal family, but he screwed his latest assignment and got fired, and because his job was basically his life, he decided to end it, I kinda feel bad for him, I don't think he deserved to get fired just because one failed job.

Hadrick: " THAAAAT DAAAMN KING, SO WHAT IF IT BLEW UP, WAS THAT REALLY WORTH GETTING FIRED OVER!!?".

Hadrick yelled drunkly while I nodded in silence.

Hadrick: " AND SOOOO WHAT IF HALF THE CASTLE IS GONE, I CAN STILL REBUILD ITTTT"

I was taken a back by that piece of information but nodded anyway.

Hadrick: " AND SOOOO WHAT IF IT WAS DURING HIS DAUGHTER'S WEDDING, HER HAIR WILL GROW BACK EVENTUALLY!!!"

Wait what??!!

Hadrick: "AND SOO WHAT IF HALF THE GUESTS WERE INJURED OR LOST SOME FINGERS, AT LEAST NO ONE DIED."

Sapphire: "...."

Hadrick: " AND SOOO WHAT IF THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I BLEW UP THE CASTLE, IT NEEDED REDECORATING ANY WAY"

Sapphire: " I'M SURPRISED YOUR NOT EXECUTED ALREADY OLD MAN"

I yelled without thinking and he seemed to flinch, if anything in my opinion the dwarfen king is extremely patient if he kept this old crow around for so long.

He seems to be depressed again, I better change the subject.

Sapphire: "why were you so surprised about my space magic is it that rare."

That seems to caught his attention.

Hadrick: "calling it rare is an understatement kid, space magic is a variation of dark magic, people who can use it are rare, and people who study it are nonexistent".

Sapphire: "why is that?"

Hadrick: "it's because of bad affinity, and bad stigma.

Sapphire: " you mind explaining a little more?"

Hadrick: " *sigh* do you know about each races elemental affinity? "

Sapphire: " elfs are best at wind and water, dwarfs are best at earth, dragons are best at fire, and humans are random and can use any element except the darkness element, of course there are exceptions and there can be someone who can use and elemental magic out of his affinity."

Hadrick:" *nod* exactly, and hence very few people practice darkness magic, and those that do don't waste their time at researching it, as you know you can use elemental magic to bring different spells that derive from it, for example you can use water and light magic to heal, and although it's not as good as holy magic at it, it still works, light magic especially can be used to cast illusion spells, give some power boosts to other people in a similar way to holy magic, but unlike darkness, water is common, light is slightly more rare, but it still more than darkness.

That was the first reason, the second is it's bad reputation."

Sapphire: " bad reputation?"

Hadrick: " tell me, who is the race with the best darkness affinity, and what is the most common use for darkness magic ".

I think for a second....

So thats the reason *sigh*

Sapphire: "the best race at it are demons, and the best use of it are debuffs and curses"

In other words...

Hadrick: "exactly and because of that dark elemental have bad stigma, and some downright say its evil, especially some narrow minded people in the goddess of life churchess, the only reason no publicly acknowledges this is because one of the gods, more specifically the god of Darkness, after all calling the element that he reigns over evil is basically blasphemy.

Even so studying it will get you alot of bad stares."

Sapphire: " What about the demon race, why don't they study it?"

Hadrick: "Demons prefer a more straightforward approach of punching you directly in the face, they rather learn other elemental destructive magic like fire or earth than waste time to learn curses".

Sapphire: "so that's why is darkness magic is so undeveloped"

Hadrick: " never mind that, you said that your also a researcher, what kind of research do you work on?"

Sapphire: "I'm researching how to break curses"

Hadrick: " well that explains this Elven wine we're drinking, if you went their you probably went to see the cursed Elven curse researcher Lapis"

Sapphire: " yes, I also broke her curse"

Hadrick: "pfffffff"

His spat out his drink

Hadrick: "YOU BROKE THE DEMON LORD'S CURSE?!!"

Sapphire: "yep"

Hadrick: " boy no wonder you're so good at dark magic, you probably are the best darkness user alive, what else can you do?"

He asked with a child like curiosity..

Ruby: "your magic seal and float magic is the best example"

Sapphire: " oh yeah I can use sealing magic as well".

*thud*

Hadrick tumbled over...

Sapphire:" you okay?"

Hadrick: " NEVER MIND ME HOW CAN YOU SAY SOMETHING SO SURPRISING SO CASUALLY?!! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG SEALING MAGIC HAD BEAN LOST, I DON'T THINK ANYONE OF THE LIVING ELFS SAW IT, THATS HOW INCREDIBLE THAT IS, WHERE WERE YOU ALL YOUR LIFE, THERE ARE KINGDOMS THAT WOULD FIGHT TO GET THEIR HANDS ON YOU"

Hadrick: " Aahhhhh... If I could get my hand on dark magic there would have been a hundred experiments that I would like to try..."

Sapphire: "would you like to try them out?"

Hadrick: "what?"

Sapphire: "well you don't have anything better to do and as I said I'm traveling to research, I could use more insight"

Hadrick: "well... That would be a step up from trying to drown myself again, who know maybe I'll find something that would get me rehired"

Sapphire: "Great let's head to the dwarfen kingdom"

Hadrick: "we wouldn't be able to enter, theirs a lock down, outsider are not allowed"

Sapphire: "why is there a lock down?"

Hadrick: "some idiot blew up the kings daughter wedding."

Sapphire: " then why can't you enter?"

Hadrick: "I was the idiot"

Sapphire: "ohhh... So what will we do?"

Hadrick: "hang on a moment"

1 hour later

Hadrick: " there done"

Infront of me is a 3 story wodden mansion, the outside have artistic carvings on it and the inside have wooden furniture, it's equipped with bedrooms a kitchen and a workshop.

WHAT THE HECK!!? WHERE DID HE GET THE TOOLS AND MATERIALS TO MAKE ALL THIS?!!

Hadrick looks at my gaped face with a smug.

Hadrick: "good thing that I'm still wearing my tool belt"

Man he's good, and so we started researching and experimenting, we spent the next three days researching and experimenting, when Hadrick saw my flying magic he almost fainted, but now he doesn't get as much as surprised, he already helped me make a few spells, non of them is impressive, but still this is progress in a abandoned magic, it still is incredible, and on the fourth day we made our first great magic, (darkness swamp) basically I summon a dark bond that absorbs the target into nothingness, sure its basically a weakee version than *devour*, but that's a unique skill, that fact that magic can emulate it is a miracle, and I learned much more about seals, I can use them without Ruby's help now, and made a few new types, the old dwarf looks extremely excited, it seems he really loves research."

That night I was triumphantly sleeping on my bed, I used a mattress that I got for camping, and laid it on it, you can't sleep on wood, not that Hadrick minds, I caught him sleeping while standing up a couple of times.

??? : " Excuse me"

Sapphire: "mmm.. Is that you Hadrick?"

??? : "No"

Sapphire: "is that you Seid?"

??? : "So you already met him, hah"

Sapphire: "can you at least not be another god"

??? : "Sorry"

Sapphire: "*sigh* I'll go brew some tea"
