Chapter 1. Beginning (Rewrite)

(MC POV)

I finished my work and decided to go home. I was surprised to find that I was the only one left; all the other workers had gone home.

As I walked down the street, I gazed up at the tallest building near my house. I wondered what would happen if something fell on my head from the top. "Of course, I would die," I chuckled to myself, trying to ease the boredom of the walk.

Suddenly, a young girl accidentally knocked something off the top of the building. Her parents quickly rushed over, picked her up, and scolded her, warning her to stay away from that area to avoid falling.

Mumbling to myself while walking, "I'm going to rewatch Bleach once I get home." Out of nowhere, something hard hit me on the head. Although I didn't feel any pain, I lost control of my body and was about to hit my face on the ground. I closed my eyes, and everything turned black.

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a majestic palace. A beautiful woman sat on the throne, looking at me with emotionless eyes. She said, "Listen carefully because I will explain this only once... You died, and I will reincarnate you once you spin the wheel."

A giant wheel appeared next to me, with an arrow pointing to various skill names from anime, manga, manwha, and manhua.

Excitedly, I spun the wheel, not caring if I got a normal item or character. The wheel started spinning, and I saw various skills, systems, and items, including Aincard Sword style, Magical Index, Seed of World Tree, Phoenix Force, and Food System, among others.

The wheel continued spinning until it finally stopped at a skill named [Reality Adaptability].

"Hahaha! Finally, someone has obtained the unattainable Skill! Now, mortal, give this ability to me, and I will reincarnate you into the world of your choice!" the beautiful woman shouted with a domineering voice.

I wondered who this woman was and what was wrong with her, asking me to give her the skill she claimed was unattainable. However, I ignored her and accepted the skill from the wheel.

"You!" The woman shouted, pointing her finger at me in shock. "How dare you! A mere mortal dares to reject the order of these goddesses!" she said angrily.

'Oh, so she's a goddess... interesting,' I thought to myself, deciding to read the skill description.

[Reality Adaptability]

This skill allows the user to adapt to anything, even using a game character to level up. The host will experience the adventures of the game character, including the pain they suffer. The skill provides instant regeneration and renders the user unable to be killed due to their adaptability. If the user is killed, they will be revived and cannot be killed by the same method again.

'Hmm... No wonder she wants this skill. Too bad I already have it,' I thought, looking at the enraged woman.

"Do you know how many years I've been waiting for someone to obtain this skill?" The goddess shouted.

"No, I don't!" I shouted back.

The woman looked at me in shock, but after a few seconds, she turned red and threw a spear of light. Suddenly the entire place began to crumble, and the ceiling was destroyed, revealing a giant draconic mouth and teeth.

"Dragon King! How did you get here? This place should be hidden from you!" the goddess shouted at the dragon that had entered her domain.

"Hmmph," the Dragon King snorted. "It's because of your idiocy, you useless goddess. Did you forget that you sent a reincarnator to my domain? Did you know that insect tried to fight me and even asked me to become his wife if he managed to defeat me? He even threw a weird golden chain at me to tie me up, but it was so weak that I destroyed it without breaking a sweat. When I defeated that man, I used soul search and found you."

The goddess paled and looked at me with a smirk. She suddenly teleported behind me and stabbed my chest, destroying my soul. I couldn't help but cry out in pain.

"Devour!" the goddess shouted while stabbing me. My vision started to blur, and I slowly succumbed to darkness.

"Hahaha! Dragon King, you will die by my hands!"

I felt the goddess remove her hand from my chest, and I heard her laughter mixed with a shout.

I felt bathed in light and slowly revived, but I remained lying on the ground, pretending to be dead so I could listen to their conversation. I peeked at their fight while still lying down.

The goddess attacked the Dragon King, but with a flick of his finger, the lower half of the goddess's body disappeared.

"Haha-?" The goddess tried to laugh but stopped midway when she realized she wasn't regenerating. Instead, she was dying. She couldn't help but shout at the Dragon King, "What have you done to me?"

"I merely flicked my finger at the ant that dared to fight me," the Dragon King said with an arrogant tone.

Her devouring skill probably didn't work on me. Slowly, I stood up and looked at the Dragon King, realizing that he had been observing me since I was stabbed.

"You're pretty lucky to have obtained that skill and met me," he said with a smile, though it appeared menacing.

"Now, I will help you get reincarnated," he said, and a wheel with many unknown words written on it suddenly appeared and started spinning until it stopped at...

[Angels Next Door Spoil me Rotten]

"This will be a farewell, young soul, and you will receive my gift once you reach the age of ten. By the way, I'm a woman, so don't use 'he' when referring to me," she said, flying in a certain direction. I closed my eyes as everything slowly crumbled.

I opened my eyes to a sudden burst of light assaulting my eyes. As I looked around, everything was blurry, but in a second, my vision cleared.

"Shuuto-kun! Look, look! Amane-chan opened his eyes. Isn't he cute?" A beautiful woman said to a man named Shuuto.

"I can see it, Shihoko," Shuuto replied with a wry smile, marveling at how his wife remained energetic after giving birth.

"Hmm, maybe these two are my mother and father," I thought, a gentle smile forming on my face as I remembered my past life in the orphanage until I became an adult.

"Aww, he's such a cutie," Shihoko cooed while cuddling the baby in her arms.

"Stop, stop, Shihoko. Amane-chan head might snap if you keep doing that!" Shuuto hurriedly said, trying to restrain his wife.

"I guess my name is Amane," I thought, deciding to go back to sleep.
