1 A New Life to Explore

As I awaken suddenly in a cold sweat, I feel as though I had a terrible nightmare. In that dream, woman had appeared from thin air, standing mere inches from my face within a dimly lit bedroom. Her pale skin across her arms and face reflected all light, while everywhere else was covered in a black fabric. Her black hair seemed to sway loosely in the surrounding cold air, and her deep red eyes gave a glare so intense that it was nearly impossible to tell whether she was about to kill me, or was getting ready to suck me off.

"This is why I don't get involved, I can never tell what will happen with other people!" I thought to myself. As she leaned closer, I ceased the moment to back up further, but my spine soon reached the stone wall behind me. I instantly just give up all hope as there is clearly no escape. She is then quick to take both her arms and wrap them around my waist. She leans in closer and closer, leading to a prolonged feeling of dread. "Alright I don't care what you're gonna do anymore, just please get it over with quickly!" I beg in my mind, hoping maybe I could telepathically communicate to her. No response, of course, and in the end I could do nothing, I'm just a worthless human being. I don't deserve miracle to happen, it's better if I just die here, cause, after all, this chick obviously cares about me so at least I'll be useful to someone for one moment and let her do whatever she wants with me, not like I have much of a choice. Just as she's about to reach her mouth up to my right ear, the dream suddenly ends. I sit in an unknown bed, baffled at the dream I just had. Things feel completely different here then they did in the dream, for one thing my body has changed. My hair is now a dark brown mess, coming just short of the top of my neck. My body feel more energetic and my eye sight is somewhat decent. My legs and arms aren't much, but they'll be fine just for basic movements. My skin is light and my nose and mouth feel clear as though nothing has ever passed the border of my lips or nostrils. I glance around the room ever so slightly, noticing a square window to the right, shining morning sunlight all throughout the room. The bed I laid on had pure white sheets with no blanket, and a wooden surrounding frame. I didn't know what to do, should I stand up and try to walk out the dark wooden door to my left, or just lay back down to see if I could recall the dream I just had. The tan, thin painted walls surrounding me start to feel as though they're closing in, until I hear the sound of someone shouting from the other side of wall in front of me. Wait, someone else probably lives here and I'm merely a guest. Having no idea whose house this could be, I figured that the most logical thing to do was to go and thank them for their hospitality, and allowing me to sleep in such a comfy bed. I stand up and walk towards the only door to my left, thinking that I can figure out the rest of my day after I give a proper thank you.
