Chapter 151 - Never Miss A Beat

Shallot was standing next to Weiss waiting for their match to begin. They had already seen Penny's match and were waiting for the match to start. They had 4 minutes left until they had to get to the stage.

"Are you ready for the match?" Shallot asked while he was looking at his scroll not paying attention.

"Isn't it overkill for you to be in this match?" Weiss asked.

"Yang and Ruby wanted to spend time with their parents in the stands watching the matches and Blake is pregnant so she can't do anything." Shallot said while getting a message on his scroll.

[Neo: I already went and told Roman that he can leave at any time and I'm on my way back.]

[Shallot: I'll be waiting for you back at the dorm since most of the matches will probably be finished by then.]

[Neo: I want ice cream when I get there.]

[Shallot: Alright, I'll finish this match quickly to get you some ice cream.]

[Neo: Why are you fighting in the match knowing that they stand no chance.]

[Shallot: It's an honor that they get to fight someone so strong. They can learn something from me.]

[Neo: ...]

"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE!!! THE MATCH IS ABOUT TO START. SHALLOT AND WEISS OF TEAM RWBY. FLYNT AND NEON OF TEAM FNKI!!!" Dr. Oobleck called over the speakers.

Weiss and Shallot walked onto the stage with Flynt standing across from them. Flynt is a young, dark-skinned man with dark brown eyes. He wears rectangular sunglasses and a dark fedora with blue trim on his head as well as an earring on his right ear.

Flynt wore a dark vest over an untucked white dress shirt, with a loose tie wrapped around the collar. Completing his attire is a pair of dark dress pants, silver dress shoes, and a dark glove on his left hand.

"You're from Atlas. What could we expect?" Shallot asked wanting to know if there is anything that distinguishes Atlas hunters from elsewhere.

"Nothing to really worry about since we are stronger than them in all regards. We should just finish this so that I can show my sister that even without summoning." Weiss said to Shallot while waiting for them to come out.

"Well, seeing as their Kingdom, academy, and armed forces are all merged as one, I think we can expect strict, militant fighters with advanced technology and carefully rehearsed strategies. They will be easy to deal with even if we don't try because they will most likely fight in a set pattern." Shallot said while seeing a pigtailed Faunus girl skating by them.

A rainbow zooms past them, coming to a stop opposite them, revealing a pigtailed Faunus girl with rollerblades and a cat tail swishing around her weapon next to Flynt, wearing a fedora and sunglasses, holding a trumpet in one hand.

"... Or whatever they are," Weiss said while looking at them.

"You Weiss Schnee, right? The heiress." Flynt said while looking Weiss up and down while sliding his glasses down to look at her.

"I am!" Weiss said while sticking her chest out.

"Your pride is showing again." Shallot said from the side while looking at the cat Faunus thinking that she is pretty active for a cat.

"I take it you're pretty good with Dust, then?" Flynt said.

"I do my best," Weiss said listening to Shallot.

"Yeah, my dad was good too. Owned a little Dust shop of his own." Flynt nods his head, eyes hidden behind his shades until his smile turns into a scowl, tone turning hostile. "Till your father's company ran him out of business."

"Oh. Sorry to hear that," Weiss said while looking down.

"What are you feeling bad for Weiss? You didn't put his father out of business besides your father cut you off anyway." Shallot said while Weiss looked back up.

"That's right, that isn't my fault," Weiss said.

"Tough luck cuz, don't hate the player, hate the game." Shallot said with Weiss looking and Neon also looking at Shallot.

"It's people that don't care like you all that make the rest of us pay for it," Flynt said while gritting his teeth.

"Should've taken things..." Shallot started to say when he was interrupted by Neon.

"Should've taken things... that's what you sound like." She said while trying to make her voice sound deeper.

"Seems someone else needs to be disciplined." Shallot said while looking at Neon.

Neon seeing the look in his eyes gulped hearing that.

"I wonder if I grab your tail how long before you forfeit." Shallot said while smiling at her.

Neon tail stud straight up while skating behind Flynt and hugging her tail.

The holographic roulette begins. It stops showing that it is four different sections.

The field opens around the four combatants, and up rises the volcanic area, sandy desert, steaming geysers, and ruined buildings.

Shallot is just smiling while looking at Neon who was feeling more and more uncomfortable. Weiss was looking at Shallot and thinking that he is just doing this to get under their skin.

"He wouldn't really grab her tail would he?" Velvet said while sitting by Blake with Coco sitting next to her.

"He probably wouldn't since he knows what it's like to have someone pull your tail. If she was an enemy that that's another thing." Blake said.

"Three! Two! One! Begin!" Port said over the speaker so the match gets started before Shallot starts to demoralize them any further.

Right as it starts, Flynt raises the instrument to his lips and blows, issuing forth a sound wave that blows Weiss back from the force. Shallot stomped on the ground keeping himself from moving with his hair waving from the sound waves.

Weiss is able to create a glyph under her to stop sliding back but doesn't see Neon spinning into the attack and using it to push herself forward so she can charge at Shallot in a rainbow burst of speed and push her into the city portion.

Neon tried to push Shallot but Shallot stood his ground while she was pushing.

Shallot's straight face slowly went into a smile with Neon seeing all of Shallot's teeth while looking at her. Shallot made sure to hold back to the strength of an average hunter and started a combo.

She was hit with an uppercut before two body shots and a kick to the leg making her legs buckle while grabbing her side. Everyone could see that Neon's aura bar was lowering with each hit.

"It's time for me to humble thy mortal self." Shallot said while Neon tried to skate away but was grabbed by her leg and slung into the ground.

[With Weiss]

She had stopped herself with Glyphs and was about to run around to set her Glyphs everywhere but was being constantly interrupted by Flynt. Flynt knew that she used her Glyphs to speed herself at her enemies to give them no opportunity and was trying to limit her as much as possible.

He immediately used his semblance Killer Quartet and blowing away into his trumpet sending four different sound waves at Weiss. Weiss jumped into the air while placing a white semblance in the air.

"What!?" Flynt was surprised since he had always seen her place her Glyphs on the ground.

Weiss started shooting across the air placing glyphs and bouncing from one to another. If you look from the outside you could see a black Glyph directly under the white Glyph.

Flynt tried blowing in her direction only for her to move. By the time he was keeping track of her Glyphs surrounded him as if he was in a globe.

"Glyph world!" Weiss said while moving between all the Glyphs leaving after images everywhere. The area all around Flynt was being filled with ice where he could see his breath with the temperature dropping.

On each Glyph was a piece of ice shard forming right next to the after images of Weiss. She lifted her rapier Myrtenaster pointing it at Flynt.

"Ice Tomb!!!" Weiss said while flicking Myrtenaster sending all the ice shards at Flynt.
