3 Chapter 3

Waking up Tenshi stretched his rolled onto his stomach stretching out his limbs. Poking his snout out of the hole, he slowly lifted his head up turning left and right. For some reason today felt exceptionally ominous. Were the flaming rabbits perhaps going to hunt him down for killing one of their brethren!

With that thought in mind... Tenshi decided the best solution was to shelter in and take a 24hr nap. Sure he might get thirsty but if he didn't do anything his hydration should only lower slowly. If he ever got hungry he could just eat the rest of the wolf. Without much flavoring added to cooked meats then raw meat honestly tasted more appetizing.

But the meat should start rotting soon, it was completely soaked and he didn't exactly dry it above. Wait, did he just give the girl some rotten meat? Tenshi sent his apologies to the poor woman if she decided to cook the meat, but she probably didn't. Who would take a meal from some beast that just randomly approached her.

As Tenshi was thinking random thoughts he picked up the sound of footprints. He found it strange how there were always some footprints outside is home but he never picked up any scents from the fresh footprints. Would he perhaps catch the random beast that always pasted by his home?

[ Better stay in, so far my previous enemies were high level but weak... ]

{ Bah, if it's a threat we fight then think about fleeing! }

[ Who said that! ]

{ ME! }

[ Who's ME? ]

{ Tsk, I'm the major personality! }

[ So you're the minor personality? ]

{ 1v1 me scrub! }

[ Oh shut it, we're gonna get a glance then move on from there. ]

{ Wa- wasn't that what I just suggested? }

Tenshi has discovered he now has a second personality in him, was he the reason for him unlocking the Berserker class? Or was he the result of unlocking that class?

Poking his head out and peering through the slightly parted ferns Tenshi caught sight of something that utterly terrified him. There was a horse made up of pure shifting black flames, it's crest was orange red flame and it's eyes were bright orange. It looked like it was made in hell. But that horse was definitely not what kept passing by his home, the foot prints were way different from a horses hoof. It was what he would assume to be some rodents foot prints.

{ Flee. }

[ Flee. ]

Tenshi quickly ducked his head down and awkwardly crawled backwards lowering his head. Edginess must equal power in this forest huh? The edgier the beast looks the stronger it probably is.

The horse passed noticing the strange gaze but ignoring it as a immature newborn that has yet to see a true monster.

[ Why is this forest filled with fire attribute creatures? won't they burn down a large chunk of the forest if they got into a large conflict? ]

{ Imagine the amount of levels we could get if we killed everything while the fire rages! }

[ "Class unlocked: Arsonist" ]

{ Yes. }

After a few minutes of doing nothing another set of footsteps approached Tenshi's location. Two steps, a human. As the steps were about to reach him they immediately disappeared.

{ He's either levitating or he just got swiped. }

If the approaching human got swiped off his feet that would mean there were either large birds in the vicinity or there were creatures hanging from trees waiting to pick someone/something up. Then there's the possibility of some psychic power wielding animal, wind element, the possibilities were endless in this magical world.

As minutes passed by there was no presence of the human, a new animal entered though. Four feet, definitely not a rabbit it was too heavy. Whatever it was, it was approaching his bush. There was noise as the shrubbery was moved away.

Baring his fangs Tenshi readied his claws, shortly after Tenshi went to the tunnel entrance and peaked his head up. He was greeted with a white furry head... and a third eye.

[ Here we go again. ]

{ I'm taking over now! }

Instead of feeling a deep paralysis Tenshi felt his body going numb! Using all his will power he slowly pulled his head back into the empty space. The feeling of numbness slowly went away as soon as he was out of the third eyes range.

[ Time to put these tufts of fur to good use. ]

Sure the tufts of fur were scattered around. But surely he could use them to kindle a fire, no? Or was he mixing that up for cotton? Either way Tenshi was going to use them as distractions.

The wolf stuck its head into the hole like an ostrich for a minute before pulling it out for a quick breather. A moment after it pulled its head out a ball of fur flew out of the hole, it was rather light and floated at the top of the entrance for a moment before fluttering back down.

'Was that a signal?' The wolf thought while tilting its head.

Pushing its head back down a ball of flames met its face. The blast was hot enough to burn bullets mid air, burning exposed eyeballs was a menial task for it. The entrance shot out a brief tower of flames as the wolf reeled back awkwardly shaking its head from side to side trying to clear its vision.

Its third eye had been closed when he glanced down and luckily he did or else its main skills would have been rendered null.

Tenshi scurried out of the hole and dashed in a random direction. Sure he could finish off the wolf. If only it didn't have it's third eye still available. It's effect rendered his body numb and the longer he stayed under its gaze the more numb his body would become. He reckoned eventually it would become so numb he wouldn't be able to move.

He wasn't in the mood to test out the max effect of that eye.

Tenshi had made the right decision as the wolf began wildly swinging its head numbing everything in its range. Birds in the sky died from free falling to the ground because of the sudden attack, a giant rock covered snake was rendered unconscious and so many other beasts were knocked out or numbed for a long time.

Tenshi ran deep into the forest not caring where he was going. Sure his flames could have damaged the wolfs eyes or even permanently destroyed them but who was to say there wasn't some healing factor for it? After leveling up his body would be instantly repaired and strengthened, the wolf had to kill something either accidently and cause a level up. That was considering if all beings in this world had a system or something similar.

Running non stop until his legs felt weak, hydration 25% and his hunger at 7% Tenshi finally decided on a goal. Digging a hole with out proper planning was suicidal, it was already a miracle his old abode didn't collapse on him in his sleep.

He can't construct anything in his current form so his next best option was to find a empty cave or do what a thug does best. Raid someone else's property and take over. His best target would be a pack of wolves, if he could locate a packs den he could out them and take over.

But that's assuming he didn't encounter another variant similar to the white wolf he had fought earlier. Imagine walking in on a dozen or so of that wolf, as soon as you enter their line of sight you are already dead.

Choosing a new direction Tenshi headed north west. The sky was getting dark and his hunger and hydration were almost empty, his hunger already reached 0%. It seemed like he had over estimated the systems warning, although his hunger did eat away at his stamina it wasn't by a large amount. It just made him feel more tired then usual.

His hydration hit 1% as he heard water gushing rather loudly. Sprinting and draining his remaining hydration, he exited into a clearing. He was at the top of a waterfall! Can he drink from here? Perhaps if he went a little more up the river.

Dunking his head into the water Tenshi choked on some water, the best way to wake himself up was to splash cold water on his face. Now that water was taken care of, it was time to find food!

- Several hours later -

[ Bears sure are tough, even their meat is as tough as them. ]

Tearing with all his might on the meat Tenshi stood atop the body of a half white and half brown bear. It was very unique looking, the top half of its body was snow white while below was earth brown. It's large back with the snow white fur looked like a small mountain.

When attacked the bear turned the green land under its paws back to plain dirt. The effect travelled several meters out, everywhere Tenshi stepped would turn into ice or trap him in a hole filled with slushy ice.

The bear was level 24 and was exactly what Tenshi imagined high level beasts to be. It was very tough, his scratches although drew blood drew very small amounts of blood. Landing on its back and chomping its neck did almost nothing. Tenshi had an impressive jaw grip but it wasn't enough to break through the bears defense.

The bear could create pit falls but it couldn't fill them back up, using that to his advantage Tenshi tripped the bear into its own trap. The bear could only struggle with one paw and flail its large body. Using its ability it tried to trap Tenshi as well, but it was useless when it made its hole bigger. Soon the bear was trapped on its side, tipped over and its underbelly was exposed.

Berserker Tenshi took over for that brief moment and indulged himself on ripping apart the bear. He was about to cut open the bears underbelly and let the bears intenseness flop out before Tenshi took over again.

It was like a mental switch, sometimes he could bear blood and gore if the switch was on but other times when its off he can't stand the sight of blood and gore.

As Tenshi was reviewing his fight with the Earth and Ice/Snow attribute bear a black halo with a golden aura appeared above the waterfall. The diameter of the space in between the halo was roughly that of Tenshi's body length. With the sudden appearance of the halo the weather seemed to pause. The previous strong winds stopped without warning and the wild waters calmed down.

Tenshi instantly picked up the sudden pause, looking left, right, and even behind him. There was nothing there just a trees and the water. Deciding to do what most people in horror films don't do, Tenshi craned his head to the sky to spot any anomalies. Sure enough, he spotted the black glowing halo in an instant.

Everything about it screamed "I am dangerous, Stay clear!" Spreading out its golden aura the halo began expanding dropping a black object down the waterfall going down for god knows how high. As soon as the object began its fall the halo began shrinking in on itself vanishing and along with its disappearance the weather picked up from where it left off.

Glancing down the edge of the waterfall Tenshi could see the black object at the bottom of the fall. It was pretty noticeable as it was pushing back the water from touching its surface. The water rushed around it without touching the object.

[ To get up close with it or to not get up close to it? ]
