Humans!?
Time passed by quickly when all she did was hunt, eat and rest.
Soon, two days had quietly passed.
All the time was spent hunting the oversized rats and she had grown far stronger than she had been in the past over the last 2 days of hunting and reached level 4! Soon, she would finally be able to evolve for the first time and to say she was excited would be an understatement.
Lost in thought about the curious thing that oversized rat meat, tasted like cooked chicken meat raw. A sudden loud sound nearby alerted Scaly, causing the small lizard to quickly hide in a nearby bush.
Rustle~
That was when she saw it, a large creature standing on two feet. The creature was way taller than her and gave off an intimidating air. A Human!
From what little she could recall from before her reincarnation, Scaly could easily recognize the creature in front of her as a human.
Even though Scaly did not know why, the human that had just appeared was way scarier than the giant earth lizard from earlier.
This was a greatly confusing feeling of danger to her and for now she decided to just go with what her instincts were telling her and tried to hide herself even more beneath the bush. Closely observing the humans every move.
At least the leaves on the bush were thick and dense. Making it difficult to see anything hiding inside it. Let alone a lizard her size...
For now, Let's inspect the human!

Scaly thought to herself while looking closer and focusing on the class part of the human's status screen. Waiting patiently for a description to appear.

Scaly looked at the giant wall of text that appeared in front of her and felt a little angry.
Was the last part directed towards me? I know I'm weaker than the giant lizard! No need to rub it in!
"Hmm… I feel as though something is looking at me!"
Hearing the words from the human, Scaly stopped angrily staring at the floating screen and tried to hide even more inside the bush. Hoping that the human just outside would leave as quickly as possible.
Not questioning why, she even understood the words of the human in the first place.
"Eric, we found the tracks of the great earth lizard! It should be close by!"
Having heard Scaly's silent prayer, a smaller and less dangerous human appeared behind the scary big human and started talking to him.
"Ah, Peter. Sure, I will be there in a moment."
Soon after that, both humans disappeared behind the trees. Leaving a still scared Scaly behind.
Those humans sure are scary, but they mentioned something about a great earth lizard, is it the giant lizard who stole away my prey!?
Feeling curious, Scaly decided to ignore the fear from earlier and quickly chased after the humans.
She had to find out if the lizard mentioned by the humans was the same as the one who had shamelessly stolen away her prey!

Two days had already passed since we entered the howling caverns in search of the abnormality that had appeared around the first floor of the dungeon, a normally peaceful floor where the strongest creature was a bunch of oversized rats that even a child could take care of.
But according to reports, a giant earth lizard proficient in earth magic had appeared on this previously peaceful floor!
A giant earth lizard is just short of becoming a lesser dragon. Having the ability to wield powerful earth magic.
Something like that appearing at the first floor is indeed quite disastrous and more than 20 adventures had already died over the past week before the guild managed to figure out something was wrong.
At least they did not drag things on and immediately closed the dungeon before anymore adventures had an unfortunate meeting with a certain earth lizard. From what we saw so far, there were indeed an abnormal number of dead, half eaten oversized rats.
Was it the giant earth lizard, or something else? It is indeed quite confusing that the earth lizard would not just eat the entire thing and instead only eat part and leave the rest.
"Hmm… I feel as though something is looking at me!"
The sudden feeling of being observed by someone or something suddenly hit me, and I narrowed my eyes and looked around to observe the environment, but nothing was out of the ordinary, just trees, bushes and a few birds singing in the treetops.
Looking a little closer, a few lizards could even be seen scuttling around on the ground.
"Eric, we found the tracks of the great earth lizard! It should be close by!"
Hearing the words spoken, I turned around and looked in the direction of the sound.
"Ah, Peter. Sure, I will be there in a moment."
Casting one last look at the surroundings, I decided that it must just have been my imagination and soon followed Peter back towards the rest of the group.
Maybe we could find that damn giant earth lizard today and be done with it. Such a thought passed through Erics mind as he hurriedly followed behind Peter, unaware of the small lizard following them from behind.
