8 A Dragon vs An Asura and Ragnarok Roused

POV - Seth Imagawa (MC)

Applying Indestructible to my arms by tightening the muscles in the specific way unique to the Imagawa Style, or as it should be called, the Niko Style. Because that's exactly what it is.

The Adamantine Kata, which Indestructible comes from, is all about physical hardening and striking your opponent. The goal for the kata is to turn yourself into a tank or rather, a juggernaut. It only helped that this was the kata I was best at and my highest stat, Vitality, boosted it's performance quite a bit.

You'd think it'd be Strength that helped the most, right? Wrong. Vitality takes care of my overall health, my ability to recover from injuries and my ability to heal wounds. But it's most important aspect, when in a fight at least, is the fact that it determines the durability and endurance of my body. Which means with a Vitality of B-, I'm practically above what a High-class Disciple could usually have. Put that together with Indestructible and it's pretty safe to say that it would take some pretty powerful hits to hurt me.

Like Sakaki's casual punches, I guess. Or attacks filled with a lot of Ki. And I do mean A LOT.

Anyway, I was pulled away from my thoughts by Kyoka suddenly looking determined as hell, her own Dou Ki flooding out to match mine. It was actually a little bigger in terms of quantity while I had her beat in intensity. Puts us pretty evenly matched in terms of Ki, huh...Well, time to see who's physically stronger!

"Good," I nodded before fully applying Indestructible to my arms alongside Iron Fingers. This would pretty much made my arms as durable as they could be right now.

And seeing as I'm fighting someone using blunt weapons, aka brass knuckles, I'd rather not take the risk of getting hurt. I don't like looking down on my opponents either. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Flexing my toes and digging them into the ground below, I spoke up again as I readied myself, "Let's have a battle of brute strength, okay? Don't get destroyed too quickly!" I let a little trash talk slip through but I was getting really excited right now. Kyoka Kagamiin? One of the three Dragons? The Dragon of Power? Goddamn! This was gonna be such a fun fight!

Pushing off with the combined power of my toes, my feet and my legs, I blasted forth, employing the unique footwork of the Flame Kata for a boost in acceleration as I threw forth an Ironbreaker. An Ironbreaker pretty much just being a punch with Indestructible active. But with the added of effect of taking the muscle hardening/tightening of Indestructible a step further just before impact which added additional destructive force to the punch.

Kyoka wasn't inactive and despite seeming somewhat surprised by my acceleration, she soon charged at me with her own lunge, cracking the ground she'd been standing on.

She threw a punch in reply to my Ironbreaker and within a second the two attacks collided with one another.

A tumultuous bang spread from the two fists colliding and I dug my feet into the ground below, steadying myself and stopping the force of the collision from blowing me back. Kyoka did the same as I did and because the force being sent back at each of us had nowhere to go, a wide depression in the ground appeared below the two of us, taking up my of the hallway's length and even cracking the windows next to us.

"...You're pretty strong, ain't ya?" I spoke through a smile, looking dead into Kyoka's unique yellow eyes and the even more peculiar slit pupils she had in each of them. She heard me and looked down at my fist and saw that it wasn't so much as scratched by the impact. Her eyes widened in surprise but before she could reply, I balanced more of my weight onto my left foot and sent my right leg up and planted my foot in Kyoka's bare stomach, "But you're pretty slow~" I said before grabbing her wrist with my free hand, employing Iron Fingers* so she couldn't break my grip and simply spun around and threw her down the corridor - the opposite way to Kisara, at least.

(*A/N - The Iron Fingers technique does pretty much what it says on the tin. It tightens the muscles in his hands and fingers and reinforces the whole structure to be like metal hence why it's called Iron Fingers. I mean, it's incredibly unrealistic because you don't have muscles in your fingers. But hey, it's an anime martial art, so what can you do?)

As she was sailing through the air, her back to the floor, Kyoka reached backward with her hand and gripped the floor, digging her fingers into the stone and using the leverage it afforded her to swing herself backwards onto her feet where she continued skidding for a while before she stopped and stood up straight.

She looked back at me with some surprise but most importantly...fighting intent.

All I could honestly think about was how beautiful she looked with such intent oozing from her. What a beautiful girl. Truly, truly beautiful.

No more words were said. Both of us understood the other's purpose in that moment - we were opponents. All we had to do was fight. So fight we did. She charged first this time and I settled into a stance to wait for her.

She led with a strong right straight but it was a feint, so I pretended to reply to it and when the real attack came, I redirected it with brute force, sending it downward toward the ground. As that happened, I sent a reinforced knee up toward Kyoka's face which she narrowly dodged. But by choice, not because the attack was too quick for her or anything.

She adapted quickly, it would seem.

She carried on toward the ground, using her momentum to drop into a leg sweep aiming to take out my only supporting leg. Putting a bit of power into my foot, I jumped up and tilted myself forward, letting my momentum take me. Swinging forward into a front flip, I applied Ironbreaker to my leading foot and swung it down at where I thought Kyoka was. But alas, I wasn't fighting some amateur fighting and Kyoka had positioned herself so that the axe kick would miss by a small margin, giving her a chance to finally land a hit on me.

Granted I activated Indestructible on my chest where she hit me, I was still sent flying backward. I gripped the ground below me with my toes again, bringing myself to a complete stop in no time. Oddly enough, despite having activated Indestructible...my chest still hurt a little. Seems her punches hold some sort of special effect. Maybe a new martial art she didn't have in the original manga?

Smiling slightly at the implication that she'd get even stronger in the future, I couldn't help but chuckle. Kyoka looked at me oddly before actually choosing to speak, "...You have a very sturdy body," she said, not forgetting to look down at her brass knuckles that could easily rend rock when used in tandem with her strength.

Continuing to smile but because of the compliment this time, I replied with a nonchalant shrug, "Thank you. Your punches are very...unique. I've only had brute force and Ki attacks break my body's defense before. I'd love the chance to spar with you again after today," I offered.

Though upon hearing me, Kyoka actually went a little red to the face, "Uh, s-sure, I don't have a p-problem with that," she stuttered--Why? I mean, I know I'm pretty handsome and I definitely know there are some eccentric people in this world. Just look at my sensei's in Ryozanpaku. Maybe she's attracted to strength or something? Man, I can never figure these unique chicks out. Well, now's as good a time as any to learn, I guess.

Seeing that our fight had come to an end, both of us understanding where the other stood and that we could enjoy this fight sometime else and in a more private place. After all, people were beginning to flock to watch us at the moment and without causing lots more property damage, we wouldn't be able to fight to our heart's content. At least Kyoka's subordinates were stopping the crowd from getting any closer so I didn't need to worry about that. All of which were giving be death glares.

A smirk aimed at them seemed to only annoy them more--but it succeeded in making me feel better!

Anyway, why didn't I finish the fight? Well, I was only testing the waters, you know? After all, a big fight after loads of tension is way better than having a quick fight that you finish instantly. It's kinda like sex, in a way...I guess.

Scrubbing that analogy from my mind, I looked to Kyoka one last time before speaking, "Either come get me after school and we'll finish where we left off. Or if your busy, just send one of your subordinates to come and tell me when you want to fight. See ya, blue-haired Onee-san," I gave her a wink that seemed to cook the insides of her head and walked back toward the entrance of my class where I'd left my clothes. I'd definitely say she's attracted to strong people or I'm just naturally her type. Maybe even both.

...Eh, who knows. I know that I won't turn down the affections of a strong woman like her, at least.

Kenichi was still in the same spot as before, so I looked to where I'd kicked Kisara and I found that she was gone and without a trace. Even her subordinates were gone. Even the three I'd left embedded in concrete.

Turning back to Kenichi, I smirked when I saw his utter shock at what he'd just witnessed me do, "Before you ask...Physiotherapy does all this and more, Kenichi!" I said with a wide smile.

To which Kenichi actually looked somewhat enthused. Probably thinking about how cool he'd look at training there. From his perspective it only took me two months to get to where I am...poor guy's in for a shock. Both for the time needed and for the fact that it's not physiotherapy. Well, actually...it is kinda like physiotherapy. But only in reverse. Akisame will take your normal body and break it down to it's core ingredients...and then the 'normal' physiotherapy begins.

Shivering at my own experiences, I wondered if the old doctor had somehow given me a mental scar or something.

Shaking my head, I began to put my socks and shoes back on, followed by my tie and blazer.

I need to be in tip-top appearance for the inevitable meeting with a teacher/principal.

POV Change - Ryuto Asamiya (3rd Person)

"So...what you mean to say is that some first year took out Kisara and then fought one of the Dragons?" Ryuto poised a question to the man in front of him. A frankly difficult man. A difficult man that would've been sent away from Ragnarok and the town it worked out of. If it weren't for his skills, that is.

The young man, Loki, as was his codename, was a decently tall guy. Closing in on Ryuto's height of 178cm by a centimeter or two and like most of the people in Ragnarok, he was quite well-muscled as well.

But the usual cocky smirk of Loki's was gone, Ryuto noted. The man usually walked around with that smirk on his face like it couldn't be removed...yet right now it was gone. Replaced by a serious face. Ryuto was somewhat interested in this first year, if witnessing his fight with that annoying woman was enough to make Loki serious.

Loki coughed into his hand before looking to Ryuto through his goggles that hid his eyes, "...Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying," Loki confirmed it before continuing, "I can confidently say that he'd be able to take apart me and most of the other Fists. Only you three would stand a chance against him," Loki sighed, "Absolute monster met those brass knuckles with his own fists! No broken bones either! Not even a bit of broken skin...The guy's the real deal."

Hearing the explanation, Ryuto narrowed his eyes, 'He met those brass knuckles with his bare hands? Either a type of technique or an absurd physique...or worse, it could be both,' Ryuto adjusted his tie before looking to the other two who shared his level of strength. Partly, anyway.

A tall and muscular blond teen was lounging on a chair, his eyes closed and seeming asleep. He wore a pair of black gloves with the roman numerals for '2' on the back of them.

The teen, codenamed Berserker, cracked open an eye, showing the blue iris underneath and gave a lazy reply to Ryuto's gaze, "What? I'd like to fight him...but I doubt you want to be enemies with him. Probably want to recruit him as well," Berserker perfectly spoke how he shouldn't be the one for the mission Ryuto had in mind, so the purple-haired teen turned to the last of the Three of Cards, Freya.

Freya, or Kaname Kugatachi, is a tall-ish dark-skinned young woman who has short messy brown hair, blue eyes, curvy eyebrows and a thin scar running across her left cheek. Her physique was probably what you'd call the perfect blend between physicality and femininity, with an athletic frame but otherwise curvaceous features.

Yet right now, her usually beautiful face is scrunched up like she'd just eaten something disgusting.

Ryuto, quite obviously, knew Kaname. It was his job as the First Fist to know his subordinates. Not out of sentiment but rather out of duty to make sure he could keep them in line.

So he knew that Kisara getting as hurt as she did...would most likely thoroughly annoy and anger Kaname. Their past friendship, while not as in-touch as they once were, was still very much a treasured thing to Kaname. Hence her anger at Kisara being so hurt.

"Try and recruit him, Freya," Ryuto started, "But if he denies the invitation, you're free to beat him. If you can," Ryuto leaned back and closed his eyes.

Loki, and even Berserker, took this as a sign to leave and so they did. Kaname gave one look at Ryuto before marching off, planning to get all of her subordinates together...this first year would pay for hurting one of her past subordinates. Or so she thought.
