Prologue

Vansh was the proud owner of a renowned haunted house in his city. After dedicating 20 years of his life to its eerie allure, the 40-year-old had made the difficult decision to sell the house and embark on a new chapter.

On the final night of his work at the haunted house, he sat in the main hall, reflecting on the memories and the beauty he had created over the years. The creaking floors and flickering lights added a nostalgic touch to the atmosphere. Tired and content, he closed his eyes and let himself drift into a slumber.

In his dreams, he envisioned a life he had never known - a life with a family he had always longed for. The laughter of children and the warmth of a loving partner filled his imagination, bringing a sense of peace and happiness he had never felt before.

But suddenly, a sharp, agonizing pain pierced his chest, jolting him awake. He cried out for help, his voice echoing through the empty halls, but there was no one around to respond. Panic set in as his vision blurred, and he realized he was completely alone. In those final moments, he clung to the memories of the haunted house and the dream of a family, finding solace as his life slowly faded away.

Tears fell from his eyes as he felt regret for the life he had led. Yet, at that moment, he found solace in the fact that he was departing while surrounded by the one thing he could truly call his own. Eventually, his heart ceased to beat, his breath ceased to flow, and his mind ceased to dream.

Time holds no sway over the dead, and so it was for Vansh. Shortly after his passing, he experienced a peculiar sensation, as if he had been granted a second chance at life. He believed that someone had rescued him from the brink of death, and to confirm this, he slowly opened his eyes. However, what he saw next left him in a state of shock as he exclaimed, "WHAT!"

He found himself on a remote island, situated in the center of a green lake, completely surrounded by a dense forest. Strangely, he could perceive the entire environment from all angles, despite remaining in the same spot.

As he grasped his newfound visual sense, he couldn't resist the urge to inspect himself, and he succeeded in doing so. However, when he turned his gaze upon himself, he was met with an unexpected sight: a small house with slanted roofs and a chimney perched in his place. There were many cracks on the cemented walls, and its color gave a grim vibe. On top of that, there was a board hung above the house's main entrance, bearing a terrifying skull painted upon it.

Upon witnessing this surreal sight, Vansh shouted in utter disbelief, "WHAT! I AM A HAUNTED HOUSE???"
