Scuba Diving experience. (Non Story related)

I just got back from Scuba diving and for anyone who has considered doing it, DO IT! The reason why I'm writing this here is because I wanted to share my feelings with some other people. I'm CMAS 1 Star. I have to damit that it's pretty strange going underwater for the first time and start breathing. The normal human instinct dictates that we shouldn't breathe underwater. But once you force yourself to breathe it's pretty relaxing. Though, the gear can be very heavy on the surface. The hardest part in my opinion is tare in the first 3 meters. If you stay with filled lungs for too long, you will shoot to the surface. But once you pass the 5 meter mark, it's awsome. To look above you and see the surface and you can still breathe will make you probaby feel pretty excited if you do it for the first time. In a depth of 9 meters, the water temperature will drop significantly. If you don't move or do anything in this depth and dont have a Semi-dry or dry diving suit you will feel cold very quickly and breathing will be a bit heavyer then on the surface. Still, it's mega fun. In 14 meters depth, you will freeze if your Wetsuit is only 5mm thick. If there is a little gap where there is no neoprene, that part will feel like it's freezing. The real challenge are the things that you need to do in order to obtain CMAS 1 Star. First the simple things. Blow out your mask if it's become full of water. Reobtain your regulator if it has slipped out of your mouth and finally reobtain your mask and blow it out. That are the basics. The fun part will start there. In order to obtain your CMAS 1 Star, you need to at least understand and do the Handsignals for "Dive down", "Dive up", "OK", "How much pressure do you have left?", "Have no air, need air!" and how to signal your current pressure. Then you need to make a exercise where you and your dive buddy have to go 4 meters apart and you need to take off your regulator, swim to your buddy, signalize "Have no air, need air!". Then your buddy has to give you his "Octopus" (That's the name for the second regulator) and you and your buddy have to swim for a bit on like 10 to 5 meters below the surface. While doing that, you need to hold your buddy as tight as you can so you wont slip. Next is Alternating breathing. This is for the event if your buddy and you only have one remaining regulator. You need to inhale 3 times in your regulator, take it out and give it to your buddy who also needs to inhale 3 times and give it back to you. This will go on till the exercise is ended. Then there is salvage. That was a interesting story, but first the basics. If a diver wants to salvage a different diver, he first needs to make shure that the other diver is in fact uncontious. Then, the saving diver needs to let all air out of his jacket. Then, he needs to reach with his right arm through the right arm of the other diver and stretch his head. With the left, he will grab the Inflator of the uncontious diver and fill it completely with air. In then they should dive up and on the surface, he needs to call for help and transport the other diver to the nearest beach. And damn is this exhausting and heavy. But now to the story, My best friend did all the things listed above. But as he filled my jacket, we did not dive up but sink down even further XD. Turns out, my jacket has not the capacity to carry 2 divers to the top. That means that in an emergency, the other diver needs to fill his jacket also with air or he needs to get rid of my lead belt. The reason why I had such a jacket was that the next bigger type was way too big, and the next smaller was way too small. Nayway, if this is done, you need to do 3 exercises in Apnoe. Hold your breath for 30 seconds, Dive 25 meters with one breath and retrieve an object from a depth of 3 meters. All in all, it was awsome. Defenitly worth the money and as I said, if you can, do it. Also there is a theoretical test but it's very easy. From today on, there will be more chapters and i had time to think about new events. Hope you could wair patiently ;)!
