54 Third Evolution (4)

If Matthew changed his 4 chameleon legs with the monkey limbs, although he won't be able to run and traverse the forest ground effortlessly, Matthew's ability to climb will be significantly improved.

And with his current legs, although he could also climb trees, it was not agile in any way. It's very hard for Matthew to move sideways with his chameleon leg structure, and Matthew also couldn't be proud of his running ability.

When Matthew starts to think about it, having 2 arms and 2 legs is actually more beneficial to him since he is already used to using 2 arms and 2 legs when doing his everyday activities. Even though the monkey's limbs are slightly different from the human's, they are pretty similar and both of them could be used to basically do the same thing.

'But if I changed my body parts so much, will I still be considered as a chameleon?'

'I don't think there will be any consequences or heaven retribution for me if I decided to change my chameleon body since even God said that I could turn my whole body into a whole different animal if I wanted to. But I kinda feel bad as if I'm betraying my whole chameleon ancestor if I decided to do that…'

'But getting those monkey limbs is very tempting for me and it will actually be more beneficial for me to have it for the long run! So… I'm sorry, my chameleon ancestor, but as long as my tongue is still a few times longer than my body length and my scales are able to change color, I will still consider myself as a proud chameleon!'

After Matthew declared that loudly in his mind, he then began to think,

'Does the chameleon ancestor even exist…? And if they did, do they even understand what I'm saying? They're still just an animal though, so I doubt they will understand what I'm saying since I don't think they would understand English and I don't know if they have a term such as an ancestor in the animal society.'

'And with that in mind, I'm taking the monkey limbs for me! System, are there additional body parts that I need to make so that I could properly use the monkey limbs and become a bonafide biped?'

'There will be some additional adjustments for host's skeletal structure since a biped's skeletal structure is quite different compared to a quadruped. But it will only be some minor adjustments since the other body parts are already compatible for the transition and didn't need any modifications when host turns into a biped.'

'Alright then system, please proceed with the change! And don't forget to replace the monkey's fur with the same material as the rest of my body. '

Matthew closed his eyes tightly, but he turned his head in the direction of the 3D hologram that served as a visual that displayed how Matthew's body will look like after the evolution.

And in this third evolution is the first time Matthew made so many alterations to his body, and he was very curious about how his body would look after he mixed and matched a few animal body parts together into his body.

Matthew silently counters to ten inside his head to mentally prepare himself before seeing his new body.

'10...9...8...6,9...5...2...0'

And when the number reached zero, Matthew quickly opened his eyes and he couldn't help himself from gaping his mouth widely since the chameleon before his very eyes is,

'WAY COOLER THAN I EXPECTED IT TO BE!'

The 3D hologram now projected a creature standing on its two legs. Although the creature didn't stand straight and tall and its back was slightly slumped, the creature still stood there proudly. With its wolf head looking straight forward as if it wasn't scared of anything and ready to take on any challenge. And with the addition of the pointy and tough-looking scales fully covered the creature's backside until the top of the creature's hand, made the creature even more terrifying to look at.

While looking at his soon-to-be new body, Matthew felt that something is missing, he looked all over his body and tried to find the missing pieces. Matthew scanned his whole body and noticed that there was something not quite right with his arm and legs...

Matthew looked at his arms and legs that the system had adjusted earlier before adding them to Matthew's body so that it would be proportional to his current body size, and they already looked fin size-wise.

'What is it…'

Matthew then observed them closely, starting from the shoulder that was covered with the tough crocodile scales, then he moved his gaze to the arm's shoulder. In the end, Matthew didn't find what was missing until his eyes looked at the tips of his fingers.

'That's it! I forgot my claws! System, please add the wolf claws from before to the tip of all my fingers both my arms and legs.'

After Matthew gave his command, the wolf claws appeared once again at the tip of his fingers, and they looked just as sharp as before, maybe they looked even sharper because Matthew's current appearance really gave off a unique vibe compared to his last appearance.

Matthew then looked at his new body once again and nodded in satisfaction, the current customization that he added looked perfect to him and he didn't want to add or remove anything else anymore.

Matthew played with the 3D hologram, zooming it in and out, then rotating it sideways then upside down. And Matthew proceeds to admire his body for almost a whole 5 minutes before he regains his focus, and he checks the bionutrients cost first before anything else.

'It should be sufficient since the system didn't say anything about lacking bionutrients right…?'

Matthew then took a deep breath, then he quickly looked at the tab that counted his bionutrients expenditure. Matthew then whistled and mentally scratched his head since he was still inside his consciousness.

'Each limb cost me 700 bionutrients and since there are 4 limbs, that means the limbs alone cost me 2800 bionutrients, while the other adjustments cost me another 600 bionutrients and leaving me with only 11 bionutrients left…'

Matthew then sighed once again, but not because of anger or sadness that he only had 11 bionutrients left from the 7000 that he had earlier. He sighed a sigh of relief since he felt that the evolution this time really satisfied him and even though his bionutrients storage is now practically sucked dry, Matthew felt that it was worth it.

And he also realized that after he leveled up, his ability to eat will grow exponentially bigger and it will be easier for him to fit much more food inside his belly. And with his strength also having an upgrade, it would be easier for him to hunt for prey. And he could gather up another 7000 bionutrients or even more for his next evolution.

'Alright system, I've finished my customizations. Let's proceed with the real evolution!'

After giving his confirmation the system asked Matthew once again,

-Are you sure you want to spend 7784 bionutrients in exchange for Crocodile Scutes, Chromatophores, Crocodile's second jaw joints and jaw muscle, A set of monkey's limbs, Snake's heat sensor, Snake's venom, and enzyme glands, and Skeletal adjustments?-

Looking at the hefty amount of bionutrients he was about to spend, Matthew, for the first time, didn't feel his heart aching when he confirmed his spendings once again. Right now, Matthew wasn't thinking about anything else other than excitement and he couldn't wait to have his newly-designed body to manifest for real. So he quickly gave his answer,

'Yes Please!'

Then Matthew's consciousness returns to darkness while his real body is currently undergoing major changes all over from the top of his head to the edge of his toe.
