27 Aura Ability (2)

After taking his time admiring the newly obtained white orb that is currently floating in his mind, Matthew then asked the system,

'System, This glowing white orb is my center of aura right?'

'Yes, host is correct.'

'Isn't it supposed to be at the center of my body? Why did I see it currently floating on my mind?'

'The true position of the orb is in the center of host's body, but the visualization is projected directly into host's head since host usually imagines things at the top of host's head, not at host's stomach.'

Matthew was first confused and didn't understand what the system said about imagining things at the top of his head, but when he thinks about it. Since his brain is located inside his head, and the brain is the organ that is responsible for thinking and imagining things, hence that is why the white orb is being projected there.

'Alright system, let's continue to the second part of the tutorial!'

'For the second step, host is required to get the same feeling as right now without the system's help, do you want to proceed?'

'Yes!'

As Matthew gave his reply, the glowing orb on his head disappeared and this sense of the aura pathway is also gone with it.

'Well, this should be easier right? I can just use my good old method of learning by repeating the word and trying to recreate the muscle memory.'

Matthew then tried to repeat 'White orb, white orb, white orb' in his mind and tried to feel the pulsing white orb in the center of his body, but midway through repeating those words, Matthew then realized that he could just directly imagine the glowing white orb inside his mind instead of repeating the word 'white orb' over and over again.

And now, with Matthew's mind clear of other thoughts and only filled by the image of the glowing white orb inside his head, he started to feel a connection from the white orb inside his mind and the vague feeling of something pulsing in the middle of his body.

When the vague pulsing started to appear, Matthew then tried to concentrate better on the pulsing and tried to grasp the feeling with his mind. And after a while, Matthew knew that he succeeded in the second part of the tutorial, by seeing the white orb in his mind is now also pulsing in tune with the one he also felt in the middle of his body.

And of course, the voice inside his head also confirmed his completion of the second part of the tutorial.

'Congratulations, host has successfully completed the second step of the tutorial.'

'Okay system, how many more steps does it take for me to use the aura ability?'

'After the second step is the third and final step for the tutorial and host will be able to use the innate aura ability after finishing it.'

'What are we waiting for then? Let's do it!'

'For the final step, what host needs to do to activate a species' innate aura ability is to make the aura inside host's body resonate with the creature's body part inside host's body.'

'If host wanted to use the wolf's innate aura ability, then host need to make the aura inside host body to resonate with host's wolf head since the head is the biggest wolf body part that host has, the smaller the body part that host use to resonate with the aura, the harder it will be, hence it will be almost impossible for host to use the wolf's aura ability by trying to resonate it only by using the wolf's claws.'

'And if Host wanted to use the chameleon's innate ability, it should be the easiest for host to use since the majority of host's body is a chameleon. And the system also recommends host to try and resonate with the chameleon's ability first before trying the wolf's ability.'

Matthew then stayed silent for a moment to think about what the system has just said to him, although he understands the gist of it, there are some things that he only understands vaguely such as,

'System, what does resonate mean? And how do I resonate my aura with my body?'

'To put it in simpler terms, resonating with a certain body part means that you connect that body part with host's aura by manipulating the aura to go to the designated body part.'

'If host wanted to use the chameleon's aura ability, then host only needs to manipulate host's aura to move outwards without having to control host's aura to gather into a single body part which is much harder because the aura is constantly moving all over host's body, since the majority of host's body is still a chameleon's that means that host only need to exert the aura outwards and it will mostly go into the chameleon's body part.'

'What should I do after succeeding in connecting my aura with my body?'

'Since the innate aura ability is ingrained in each member of the said species and they can activate it by only following their instincts, it is the same for host. Host only needs to connect the aura to host's chameleon's body part and it will automatically guide the aura on their own to activate the chameleon's innate aura ability.'

'Well, that's… complicated… But I will try it first.'

'So first, I should feel my aura first right…?'

Matthew then repeated the steps to locate his center of aura, the glowing orb. After doing it for a second time, Matthew didn't need to try too hard and succeeded in just a minute.

After succeeding in making the pulsing glowing orb re-appearing in his mind, he then asked the system once again,

'Umm system, so how do I control my aura again?'

'The aura will move according to host's will and intention, the stronger they are, the easier it is to control the aura. And the system also recommends the host to visualize what host wants the aura to do since it will make controlling the aura easier.'

'Alright, in short, I need to tell the aura to move and to make an image in my mind of what I wanted them to do. Let's go me! You can do it!'

Although Matthew is already starting to get dizzy from all the information that the system dumped into his head, he remembered this is all for realizing his dream of using his own aura ability, so he hyped himself up and decided to just do it and try first.

Coming back to the glowing orb in his mind, Matthew also tried to feel the aura pathway inside his body to understand the aura better inside his body, luckily he could do it easily by following the pulsing feeling that starts from the center of his body and traveled all over the aura pathway before going back into the orb.

'System, now that I already know where all the aura inside my body is, the last thing I need to do is just connect them outwards to my physical body and just let my body do the rest right…?'

'Host is correct.'

Matthew then focused on the aura that is currently flowing throughout his body from his head to his tail, and Matthew tried his hardest to tell them to move outwards and connect with his physical body. But no matter how hard Matthew told them to move out, he only succeeded in budging them slightly out of their course before they returned back to the course the next moment Matthew tried to push them further out.

'How am I supposed to do this!'

Matthew said as he rubbed his head with his front legs while his body was slumped down to the ground.

'Why is this so complicated... Can't God just make a button to toggle my ability on or off, it will be much easier with that!'

'Maybe using my head to figure out these complicated kinds of stuff from the morning straight until the late afternoon is not good for the health of my chameleon's brain.'

But Matthew is the one who pushed himself to learn the aura ability just in a day, while it took the regular animals months if not years to use the aura ability. Months for locating their aura center and more months to actually use the actual aura ability.

After shaking his head for some time and still failing in figuring out how to use the aura ability, Matthew once again decided to take a sip of water from the lake.

'How I wish there's something sweet for me to consume…'

'If the humans here are still in the medieval age, I hope that they at least have figured out sugar, or better, chocolate.'

Even though Matthew started to complain in his mind, he still drank the lake water before going back to his comfortable position under the shade of a tree to continue dwelling in his current aura problem, which is the last and final step before he is able to use his own aura ability.

'Alright Matthew, just like last time, let's relax, and try a different option from your last try.'

For the last 30 minutes, Matthew is stuck in the last step and no matter how hard he focused on moving the aura, it didn't move far more than only a budge.

'What was it again that the system said before? Try to move the aura and imagine what I want the aura to do right? If I fail when I focus on trying to move the aura, what if I try to focus on the visualization part instead?'

As if Matthew got an 'aha' moment he then focused once again on feeling the center of his aura before soon locating all the aura inside his body, and now for the last part. Matthew closed his eyes and tried his best to imagine, as detailed as he could, the aura all over his body to move outwards and connect with his physical body and activating the chameleon's innate aura ability.

He imagined the aura starting to inch slowly out of their course and going into his physical body before finally going outwards after being guided by his chameleon's body parts and the aura being emitted outwards thus activating his aura ability. He repeated this image again and again in his mind, from the starting process to the finish, and didn't stop at all until he heard the system's voice,

'Congratulations, host has successfully completed the innate aura ability tutorial.'

When Matthew heard the voice, he reflectively opened his eyes, and along with that, he could also feel something is being constantly emitted out of his body and after all this experience. Matthew could only guess that 'something' is actually his aura that was being emitted outward after being guided by his chameleon body parts.

'This means… I DID IT? I FINALLY HAVE DONE IT? I USED MY OWN AURA ABILITY?'

Matthew then looked all over his body trying to figure out what effect his innate chameleon aura ability does to his body, he looked at his claws, but they are still the same, he looked at his body, but it is still the same, he then looked at his tail, his tongue, his eyes, his mouth, his sense, but they're all still the same.

'Did I fail? Why is nothing happening to my body!?'

Just to make sure once again, he then walked towards the lakeside to see his reflection on the lake just in case he missed something, but when he tried to search for that something on the surface of the lake, it turns out that he sees nothing at all, not even his own reflection.
