15 Aftermath - II

"Who do you think is responsible for this?"

"Honestly, I don't know." replied James, as he was not sure who or what was behind this assassination attempt on him. Also, the strangest thing was Lucas, who was also here in this castle with tight security around his room, was now acting like nothing happened in the carriage.

No matter how many times he asked about his situation in the carriage, the answer was always unclear. His most prominent answer was he panicked, followed by all those reactions which were believable if James hadn't seen him from the very beginning.

He started getting paranoid since they boarded the carriage, which was too odd. His actions only suggested one thing, and that was he was expecting something like this to happen.

So was he the one who tried to kill him? And even if he was, then why he didn't kill him after Hansh left the carriage? It was a golden opportunity, but he kept panicking, doing nothing.

"So you know nothing?" inquired the duke.
