19 Trust

She quickly turned to the sound. Shou was feeling terrible. Mei Shu could know it from the look on his face. She got worried and quickly got off her horse.

She went near Shou and asked, " Are you okay? Is it so hot? Shall we take a rest? "

Shou answered in low voice without any strength," It's okay."

He couldn't even talked a long sentence. Mei Shu helped him get off his horse. There wasn't any tree or some shelter to stay nearby.

Mei Shu's POV

* This is bad. There aren't any shelter to stay. And Shou seems really terrible. The weather isn't that hot that he can't even handle it though. Then what's the problem?"

Thousands of thoughts came into her mind in a few minutes.

Shou's condition became worse. He couldn't breath properly.

" It's okay. I am fine. I... just need some time.. " , Shou said in a weak voice. He didn't want Mei Shu to get troubled because of him.

However , Mei Shu couldn't feel less worried. She left Shou on the ground and took out her extra cloth. Then, she covered Shou with it. Shou became better because of the shadow of the cloth and coolness from it.

He fell asleep as he was tired just after some time. Mei Shu just sat down and put Shou's head on her laps, by the horses.

" Just what happened to him in the past that caused such a terrible condition? Trauma? " Mei Shu thought while looking at Shou who was sleeping peacefully.

When she was just thinking, Shou murmured something. Mei Shu couldn't hear so she went near Shou's mouth and listened carefully. " Sorry" , Shou said," F.forgive me.." . He was sleep talking. Then he stopped again.

Mei Shu sat straight again. Just like that, the sun set down and the night came.

The sky was clear, full with millions of stars sparkling. The air was blowing up. Mei Shu opened her eyes slowly and yawned. " I fell asleep." , she said to herself.

However, Shou was still asleep. Mei Shu made a poker face and she pulled Shou's cheeks and said in a disappointed voice, " Wake up. Are you a pig to sleep this much??" .

Shou slowly opened his eyes and saw Mei Shu in a poker face. He was surprised to see her like that. " Mei Shu?? Wait.. this pillow actually feels kinda soft. But how can there be a pillow... don't tell me.." , while thinking he quickly got up and looked back the " Pillow ".

" They were her laps all along??I am doomed " , Shou slowly turned his head towards Mei Shu and made a silly smile to her.

" hmph now you are finally awake. Just look at the sky." , Mei Shu scolded him," It's gonna be dawn soon."

Shou stared at Mei Shu carefully and looked at her body. Her hair was quite messy. A person who was awake wouldn't have a messy hair. And as a girl, she would fix her hair if the wind blows. Her eyes weren't fully clear and it was like eyes that just opens after closing for a long time.

Shou stopped staring and said, " But weren't you sleeping too? "

Mei Shu became furious and shouted at Shou ; " SHUT UP!! I FELL ASLEEP BECAUSE OF YOU!! NOW GET UP AND PREPARE!!! WE NEED TO GO TO DAD IMMEDIATELY!!! "

Shou scratched his head and said nervously; " Okay okay. Let's go " .

They gpt on their horses and started their journey.

Fortunately, they arrived at the Military camp of light kingdom before dawn.

As soon as they arrived in front of the camp gate, two soldiers stopped them and asked them to show permission or something that can prove that they are allies not enemies.

Mei Shu prepared to show them her Princess title but Shou stopped her and instead of it , he showed his permission paper which he got from the king.

The guards looked at the paper carefully and made sure it was real. After looking at it, they let them pass through.

Mei Shu and Shou went to the stable to keep their horses. While they were keeping them, Shou said to Mei Shu," We should keep our identity a secret. It won't go well if the enemy knows we are here. And we should make things fast or they might get the news that you went here. "

" But how can it be? We came here secretly.", Mei Shu asked Shou without thinking.

" Although I did say that the enemies are quite dumb, however they might send people to look at your every moves. If I am not wrong, they might already found out that you are missing and that you came here to military camp. And they might be coming here in a rush at the moment to report that.", Shou explained to Mei Shu seriously.

Mei Shu immediately pulled Shou's hand and went out of the stable. Shou was quite dumbfounded for her sudden action. He quickly took his hand back as soon as he came back to sense.

He didn't know where Mei Shu was going but he believed in her and followed her.

Mei Shu stopped near a big camp. Shou looked inside sneakily and saw a man with beard and moustache talking to a person with respect. But instead of respect, Shou could say that he was in fear. And he was wearing a brand Armor which is slightly lower than the king's and the Princess's.

Shou wanted to look more so he walked forward a little bit and looked inside the camp closely. However, before he could see, Mei Shu pulled his cloth from behind and shook her head.

Shou understood her. Mei Shu didn't want to know the truth from her heart. In fact, the person who seemed to be powerful inside the camp, was actually someone they knew. They could hear the conversation from outside of the camp.

There were guards outside the camp but there was no gaurds behind the camp as that place was full of bushes.

They two were talking something about the coming war. But it wasn't tha important so they didn't order the guards to go away.

Shou knew those facts. He also knew that Mei Shu would know it too. However, she was sad and upset. Her trust were shattered into pieces.
