16 The sudden meeting

" You!!! ", the king scolded Mei Shu with anger. Mei Shu didn't say anything and she also kept her patience. The king sighed with disappointment and he told Mei Shu to go back. She left and went back to Shou's bedroom instead of her bedroom. When she entered the bedroom, Shou was still in a coma and lying on the bed. She walked near him and looked at his wounds. The wounds have healed fully but it will take some time for him to become normal again.

Mei Shu decided to leave him alone and let him rest. So she prepared to go back to her bedroom. When she was about to leave through the door, Shou opened his eyes and got his consciousness. He tried to get up and sat on bed but because of the injuries he couldn't. Mei Shu heard a sound when he tried to get up so she looked back and saw Shou waking up. She became really happy and ran to hug Shou. Shou was quite surprised when she hugged him. Mei Shu then broke the hug and said, " Thank god. I was worried. It will probably take time for you to walk and run like usual but the wounds have fully healed. Are you feeling better? Are there any places that you feel a bit hurt on your body? I can help you. "

Mei Shu was talking non-stop quickly. Shou was pleased to hear and saw that she was worrying about him. He couldn't help but to chuckle a little. Mei Shu stopped talking and she scolded Shou for laughing at her. Shou even laughed more after she scolded him.

Mei Shu said, " Shou, I actually have something to tell you. But it's more like admitting actually." Shou knew that Mei Shu was worried about something because her worries were appearing on her face.

In a second, his mind was filled with thoughts about Mei Shu. He was worried about her and he wanted her to discuss about her problems with him freely.

" Why is she hesitating? What's her problems? She is an open-minded person. But today ... currently. I want her to share me and tell me all her problems. Does she not see me as a friend? Am I just someone she saved randomly... just a close stranger?" , Shou thought.

Shou decided to ask Mei Shu in a straight way. He told her everything that came to his mind without even thinking for a second ; " Why are you hesitating to tell me? Am I just a close stranger? Do you not even see me as a friend? I want to know about you, you know, although I can't say anything about me as I don't remember about my past, but I want to know more about you. I want you to share me with everything, every problems , every feelings. But you- " , before he could finish his words, someone knocked the door so he was interrupted.

Mei Shu quickly told the person to come in as she also didn't know how to face Shou alone anymore. Her maid came in and said, " Your Highness , there's a urgent meeting in the hall. Your Majesty told you to come at once. And also he told you to bring him { Shou } together."

Mei Shu wanted to know the reason why his father did that. So she agreed to come and also took Shou along with her. For Shou, he was upset because he waa interrupted and couldn't tell Mei Shu about his feelings.

When they got into the hall, everyone including minsters and generals were already there. They were sitting in their seats and the whole hall was filled with people. Mei Shu and Shou could tell that the meeting is important or maybe the king wanted to announce something to everyone on purpose. The people pay respect to Mei Shu as soon as they saw her and Shou walked beside Mei Shu to the seat.

Mei Shu sat near the king, just a little bit lower and Shou sat together with ministers as he was a guest. Just after that , the king stood up and announced to everyone in the hall ; " As you all see , this is the boy whom my daughter, Mei Shu , took into the kingdom just a few days ago. There are some rumours spreading about my daughter and him around the kingdom. That's why I asked all of you to come here. First of all, it's true that my daughter brought him and saved him but that was only because she pitied him and of course it's also because of her kindness. The second thing is that the rumours about him and her aren't true. They are only rumours that was made from people's mouths. And not only in the present but also in the future , their relationship will remain the same", the king ended his speech and sat down.

Everyone was quite surprised because of some reasons and they had some doubts. [ Why did he make an urgent meeting all of a sudden? Just because of this? It's true that the rumours should be cleared as fast as possible but it isn't that necessary to call a meeting out of the blue. It even seemed like he called everyone because of guilt. ] Everyone's minds were full with doubts like those.

Although light kingdom can be regarded as a kingdom that has many royal citizens and people. It's still a kingdom after all. Many people live there, all kinds of people.

Mei Shu and Shou also had doubts just like the others. For Mei Shu , she kept thinking why her father did this? It will only tell the enemies that there are issues in the castle. But Shou was different. He doubted that this meeting had something to do with what Mei Shu wanted to tell him.

That day, the whole light kingdom was in darkness. Some people's hidden personalities were awakened by the meeting and the information that the king gave.
